A: Pause the stream for a couple of seconds, then click play. If that doesn't work. Close the stream entirely and re-open it. Q: GOM TV stream won't open for me. What do I do?
A: DL the latest version of GOM. Make sure you've enabled the Live stream feature GOM require you to. If nothing else. Click on the Link below the stream Link above the FAQs. Q: I'm watching the same stream as everybody else but it seems like I'm behind all the time. What'S up?
A: GOM streams tend to lag for some reason, therefore when the casters go on break and come back (cause u need to be able to hear to know if you're fast forwarding or not), hit "c" on your computer to fast forward. U should keep hitting "c" until you reach around 2.0x or 3.0x. When you hear the noises start to skip, then hit "z" to return back to 1.0x Speed. Do this every time because it never stops lagging Q: I bought the GSL ticket but I can't watch GSTL HQ?
A: GSTL is not included in the package. You have to buy the tickets separately

I probably won't be able to watch it live, but hopefully when I wake up Prime will have won =D. Even though StarTale has been disappointing lately in teamleagues, it's the GSTL so they are gonna prepare hardcore and they have a lot of monster players, it will be hard for Prime. Gogo Byun all-kill :D

What's wrong with the time?
In united states the GSL is very late (or very early in the morning depending of the point of view lol) but the saturday it's earlier (6 am for europeans unfortunately ) so he is happy to be able to watch the GSL without staying awake super late. @Tempest : what do you mean, Bumblebee = Terious, not BBoongBBoong
Will be a good match. Prime is a on a roll right now, I'll give them the edge, but any of the two teams can win. Hopefully we will see Nani or Sase play, lol.
Man this match is so important tonight. Prime MUST win, otherwise MKP will most likely skip MLG Columbus to play in the elimination match that weekend. If prime wins, they advance to the ro4 and MKP will be free to go to MLG. Let's go prime!! MKP and Creator have been bossing it up in team leagues lately!

Of course, as MKP's number 1 fanboy I want to see him at as many foreign tourneys as possible because knowing MKP he will most likely skip MLG to help prime out if they lose tonight.
Wait, I just thought of something even better. Prime wins tonight, which frees up MKP's next two weekends. Then Day9 announces MKP to the red bull lan!
I'll update soon the Prime thread now that Byun is able to play again, that Maru finally broke out a bit, and that Prime destroyed every team in KSL & IPL (well, kinda even though some matches were close they are the most successful team in TL this year :D) Gogo Byun
Since Startale has an incredibly bad record against Prime i think its safe to say that we will see atleast one of the Swedes. Altough you never know what the coaches have prepared for the match. The only way Startale is going to take this is with 4 protoss and 1 terran. Thats just my opinion though.

O_o wut. I would NEVER give my money to a school that did that to me. I left my first school cause of shitty internet. Plus Purdue got owned by OSU today =O
I've seen this build twice from zergs in the GSL, last time was Losira on this map vs SC, and Haypro did it back when terminus first came out and there were no rocks blocking the 3rd. I feel like a quick 4 rax pressure could do wonders vs it though.
GJ by curious, but wow that was sick by MKP on the ramp, ran all his marines into his base and closed the wall and let all the maraduers take bling hits.
Also Spores = turrets, and people spam turrets in TVT, maybe z will start realizing their pretty effective vs drops.

More importantly, this is teamleague. You always stick in the game as long as possible, even when you are lost. add this fact with the fact that marineking doesn't exactly throw in the towel idra style and....yeaaaaah

It is pretty bad ZvT usually, there just isn't enough open space to easily get surrounds with lings and deal with marine/tank pushes, and the bases are so spread out that drops are really effective. PF's help a lot in securing a fourth, and the map is so big that it's hard to use brood lords because of how spread out everything is.

Nah I disagree completely, their is a ton of space to get surrounds, and since its so spread out its hard to retreat, like cloud kingdom. Sure its easy to get quick 3 base, but that benefits protoss, and not as much for terran, zerg can rush blord infestor.
Meh I guess, also MKP doing a sick job holding lol, his splits are so flawless.

Curious beat Maru. He has also beaten marineking, but eliminating a terran can sometimes be a slow process, so he is still waiting for him to leave.

Hope startale wins this. IM has to play the loser of this in two weeks should they beat NSHS, and they'll be without MVTea and Losira....again. Prime would be much easier (they'll be without MKP)
I think byun can all kill ST if he really plays as good as can, serious haha. Creator can also clean up any terran including bomber pretty easily IMO, and Byun can take the rest so still hope for prime.

Well SaSe's weakness is his PvZ.. Prime won't be sending another Z out. SaSe's vP and vT are his better match-ups. Creator's weakest is vP, and realistically the final player should be ByuN. That's the reason I listed SaSe.

Love that Startale doesn't mess around with these players. Though I think Parting or Squirtle would have been better for Creator, Bomber can definitely win this too.
did they honestly think the upgrade advantage wasnt important in pvp? I know, he had more colossus, but +1 applies to ALL units, it's bigger than they think... I hate when casters proclaim a player dead, when theyre far from it...

I think it was even before the scandal. MarineKing made a joke on Twitter that Byun should change his name to GhostKing after moving to Prime due to his expert use of Ghosts and he did...kinda...I guess. It seems like half the time he's ByunPrime and the other half he's GhostKingPrime.

He really wanst as far behind as the casters were making it out to be. Ya the terrible zealot control helped him lose but after the big attack Byun had the same amount of units the upgrade edge and more tech.
That constant poking midgame was friggin beautiful, just making squirtle soak APM and constantly stay on top of where byuns army was.. Even though the ramps on that map make it difficult all the little things like getting a zealot/pylon slowly evened up the game, really nice. 99.9% of terrans woulda died to that 5 gate

In all honesty, I was watching muted. Didn't think ghostking was going to pull through after defending. Beautiful defense, as most any Code B/A Terran would have probably fallen apart and lost there. But Squirtle lost that game after winning it. All he needed was 1 templar with storm OR 1 collosus even without range.
Squirtle waited too long. When GKP got his medivacs out, the push was fucked. He took too much time trying to damage the natural CC. All GKP had to do was buy time until those were out and he was fine. He lost a few SCV's but with mules and the medivacs, he was able to stabilize pretty easy.

They call it as it is, they don't sugarcoat nearly as much as Tastosis do. When somebody plays really well they say it too. I prefer it like this tbh.
Squirtle botched that attack at the third SEVERAL times using move command more than once whilst the whole terran army was bashing on his troops... a screw up like that should never happen
Also GKP is #2 on the KR GM server right now with a 75% and was #1 pretty much most of the week with Life. There is a reason why MKP thinks he's the best Prime player.

I'm not talking only about this game. I'm talking about all their casting today.
What comes to mind is Creator vs Bomber as an example. Early game they were hardcore saying that Creator should've done that or this. I'm not saying they are all playing perfectly. I'm just saying that Khaldor and Wolf are being way too 'mean' today.

He had to play it the way he did. Immediantly after the attack squirtle built sentries instead of teching strait to templar because if he had tech'd he would have died to a 1/1 attack w/ medivac support. Once he had units to tech his opponent was getting ghosts hence the retreat back to them. Then he died while switching tech over to collosus. Maybe he could have gone collosus first but teching collosus when your opponent already has his medivacs out means you have to be sneaky with it.

Defending a pure gateway attack from a 2 base protoss, and coming out with +1 attack and medivacs while protoss is only just started double forge and no other tech is not a bad spot to be in, he lost enough SCVs that it hurt, but I really think it was exaggerated how behind he was.

I kind of agree with saving Parting for last. This might sound weird but I think sending out same race over and over could be a good thing. You have a whole team there watching and able to see any mistake or potential weakness in your opponent and if you send out the same race multiple times that knowledge is only compounded.

It adds so much more pressure on PartinG, but then again I guess PartinG knows that if he loses, ST will probably lose so it doesn't really make a difference..

Why not sacrifice a lamb with pointy teeth, such as, say, July? Meh.
I guess the StarTale coach wanted to teach Ace a lesson.
This is why I love team leagues, there is a whole different dynamic to teamfighting as well as team management (IE ace getting embarassed on the big stage by his coach basically. That map was asking for 111)

they were joking around in a tournament that didnt matter to them (since either coca or byun had code a/s, cant remember) so they were trying to be nice. theyre young. how are they supposed to know that thats interpreted as match fixing. its really not a big deal.

FFS there was no code A up for grasp.... I dont know why people keep saying it. I know Artosis said it on the stream but he was misinformed. The only thing up for grasp was 100$.

They werent intending to be dastardly and thats important point. The more dastardly versions of this happen a lot in qualification tournaments and arent really talked about, they were just stupid enough to put it in game.

If i ever hold a tournament I'm going to screen players so i don't invite ANYONE who has ever fixed a match. because fuck them a lot.

Wolf doesn't hate Byun, he is completely right. His opponents did make a lot of mistakes.
Even in that last game Parting kept throwing away units instead of delaying until his colossus came out.....

No. Shut the fuck up and stop killing the hype.
Why is there hype to begin with? Byun looked awful in his first game, did a 1/1/1 on crossfire in his second, and another 1 base all-in in the third game that shouldn't have worked except Parting made 1 mistake.
I know Byun plays better than this. I've been a fan of his for a while now. But to say he looked good in these games is straight lying.
Prime is like the cutest team ever,I'm rooting so hard for them Really weird decision from Startale to send 3 consecutive protoss against byun, but whatever.
P.S. Oh Wolf man I like u and all but stop saying that all the startale players played terribly, it may be true but you're killing the hype soooo bad.
Apparently, ByuN was supposed to go to IEM but was cut because of the match-fixing scandal
Also to clarify. The match-fixing scandal that happened in BW and what ByuN and CoCa did are not even comparable. ByuN and CoCa did not gain any money, it was not pre-meditated, and I feel like it was sort of a spur-of-the-moment, joke decision for both players. ByuN was losing and was like "hey, lose this map for me" and CoCa left the game. I'm sure it was a joke in that ByuN never really expected CoCa to leave, and to CoCa he didn't really care if he won or not.
The best part of this series was Ace talking shit so much but has nothing to back it up. If anything he costed the series for his team by playing so badly when he scouted exactly what he was going against.

See, you're wrong.
The tournament that they "cheated" in had no Code A spot. So please be quiet now. You're being disrespectful to GhostKing and Coca by not knowing the facts of what even happened.
'k, thanks, enjoy the GhostKing victory.
Thank you. I remember when the "scandal" first got out everyone thought there was a Code A seed on the line, but then later people were saying there wasn't -- I wanted to point that out but didn't remember where a good source was, but since you're Fionn you saying it is enough of a source :-p Saved me a few minutes of digging around.

ACE needs to transfer to MVP so he can ceremony for DRG

Anyone have a screencap of Byun in HQ when he ran out of the booth and was all super happy surrounded by his teammates? I want to save that moment FOREVER!
OMG I was so happy too, I loved watching his games back in the past.
I'm so glad he's back and doing well! <3
Man... 2012 GSL and GSTL has been such a treat so far, and it's only just begun... WTF?!
Making a bold prediction. Byun: Future gsl finalist. This guy might rise up to the same level of DRG and MMA. You can really feel the difference in these 3 players. The composure they exude, you can feel they are something special.
ooohh just noticed IM vs Startale on the calendar later for the KSL. Then IM will probably play them again in two weeks after crushing NSHS. Too bad IM has to face them without all there players again -_-
This is extremely poor from the casters. First it was Artosis 6 months ago who stated on air that they matchfixed for a code A, and now 6months alter Wolf too? Seriously if you are going to say something that has some serious repercussion towards a player's career please at least get your facts right!
You get a thread that says "byun match fixed for a code A seed"
If this is untrue, then something needs to be done about it. i am sorry that I had mis information, but if there is No updated thread to clear things up than I don't see how I was supposed to know that.

GhostKing is a terrible name, but it's one of those "so bad it's good" kind of names. He's friends with MarineKing (MKP's probably the one that got him on to Prime when Byun used to be on Zenex), and the name shows his joking personality and how he and MKP are good friends.

Byun got a puppy in August. Its not a puppy anymore haha. Now Bombers puppy on the other hand...Would really love pictures of both now though. Maybe Byun will bring it to the GSTL play offs like last time? :D
to clarify this. They made an angreement for one map, that byun was going lose in the first round of a weekly cup where the winner could get a spot in a tournament that gives away ONE Code A spot[, NO Code A spot was given away. So saying there was a Code A spot on the line is just false. Secondly they did it spontaneous, no money or anything else valuable was involved. Just a stupid move, but not such a big deal that was made out of it over there in korea. a ban from this particular tournament would've been a reasonable punishment, but coca forfeighting his GSL Code S Ro16 (and with it entirely GSL spot), being banned from the Slayers Team House and A Team and both staying away from tournaments for nearly half a year was way too much. And after all that still complaining about this little shit seems just stupid to me.
EDIT: Corrected the wrong Code A facts. But to say, that they didn't agree about that set is a little too much, given the ingame chat.
You said you could swore the old weekly lead up to monthly Code A - that was true BEFORE that match with Byun's accident. At the time of that match it was not true (not yet negotiated).

:/ i'm sorry to bring such a negative discussion to this thread but I really just don't agree with apparently ALL OTHER SC2 FANS light opinion of match fixing. I really have no respect for anyone who does it in any tournament. They are professionals, and match fixing is lying about your work. That's entirely false and misinformation: 1. There was NO CODE A spot. Not even at the monthly finals, and of course not in the weekly itself. 2. There was absolutely no arrangement. Coca wanted to play more ZvT to practice for his 3x Terran group in Code S (with some real Terran monsters in it at the time). So in a Bo3, in their second game, after clearly winning, and talking about needing more T practice (because his terran teammates were off at some event), he suddenly agreed to just gg and go 3rd game, because he was only playing this match for some T practice. 3. Due to this time conflict he would have otherwise just forfeited the whole match - like 10 other people did, and only 6 matches were played anyway in this first round.

That's fine, but you've already expressed your opinion repeatedly and aggressively, on top of which you didn't even have the correct information about the "scandal" until what, 20 minutes ago? If it really pisses you off, write a blog. This isn't the place to campaign against Byun.

Disagree. And where else are the facts going to be? If not in the OP i don't know where else I would look.
Sorry! i'll shut up now , i hope no one is too mad >< its just always confusing to me when people defend people who give up games.
The only reason people are getting mad is you're making it seem like Byun is as bad as Savior
He was basically trying to make what byun/coca did the equivalent of grand larceny (ie savior) when all they did was equivalent to stealing a pack of gum. It was wrong, but a minor spur of the moment thing. I found naniwa's probe rush or stephano quitting the finals of that tourney to be much more reprehensible acts than what coca/byun did.
You said you could swore the old weekly lead up to monthly Code A - that was true BEFORE that match with Byun's accident. At the time of that match it was not true (not yet negotiated).
Sigh you don't understand why I said what I did so just leave it alone -.-
Many people are missing the point - it is true that there was NO Code A spot on the line in the Byun and Coca incident. However, the weekly in the past had given Code A spots. So, it is possible that the players may think that there was a Code A spot. If you take intentions into account, then all players in the future can just say, "oh, i didn't know such-and-such was happening".
Regardless, whether there was a Code A spot (or not), asking your opponent to intentionally lose a game is not acceptable.

Wasn't there no code A spot in weeklies at all??? Only if they won the weekly and then got into the finals, would they enter a competition that gave out code A spots.
But anyways, good to see byun do well. MKP recently said hes the best player in prime so i hope to see him back to form in the GSL soon enough.

The ESV Korean Weeklies never rewarded a Code A spot.
Only one Code A spot was ever awarded through a Monthly Finals to StarTaleSquirtle

Sorry but please find me evidence of that, iirc there had never been a code A spot awarded from that weekly.

Glad you asked. This was investigated too - if you go dig in the original thread that I linked before. Both coaches said they were informed about the tournament not offering Code A spot, and the players knew it too.
There was really no malicious intent, no motive, and what was done was in the spur of the moment, silly as it was.
It doesn't matter whether the spot awarded a Code A or not. If you use that as a defence, then players can claim in the future they were just "messing around" and "didn't know that tournaments offered a spot". Asking your opponent to lose is not acceptable, full stop.
However, I believe that Byun and Coca got punished heavily (I would say that the punishment exceeds the crime). But to say that what they did was "no big deal" is wrong.

Hence why he didnt play a macro game, at least vs Parting who reached GSL Ro8 only to lose vs eventual winner of GSL2012, and later kill him in MLG? you have to be mentally retarded to deny that Parting is level above Byun.

also dual sight -> 1-1-1 is the bo choice anyway, and it worked.

Lol rage. Actually prime is a better team than Startale, and the only player who played well was Curious. Prime is winning all the team leagues right now.
Teams dont care that much about other than GSTL...and yeah im raged, ST better team in terms of growing talent, and overall players. They dont keep people who have no talent... besides byun just allined two games in a row, he knows he is worse than Squirtle and PartinG
"byun knows he is worse than Squirtle and PartinG" nice jokes
Hence why he didnt play a macro game, at least vs Parting who reached GSL Ro8 only to lose vs eventual winner of GSL2012, and later kill him in MLG? you have to be mentally retarded to deny that Parting is level above Byun.

I agree that Parting is better than Byun but that's not the reason why Byun all-ined =.=

Byun allined is probably because he prepared for Parting's build (Fast 3rd nexus) and he probably think that he would stand a lower chance of winning a macro game compared to an allin.

Dual sight is not a map with a safe third where that build works (you need something like Metropolis or Daybreak). Remember Byun is also on MKP's team, so MarineKing probably gave him a few pointers on how to roll PartinG (MarineKing has done very well against PartinG in the past).
