MVP's tvp doesn't suck at all, it's just not as dominant as his other matchups were. it's still above 60% statistically and the only series he lost in gsl that i can recall was to alicia when the game was like one tenth as figured out as today.

Must admit, the Halo crowd owned the SC2 one big time.

Naniwa and Huk have been able to be top 8 in the last few MLG's even with koreans in them and will continue to do so in the future. I hope that some other good foreigners (like ret, idra, and stephano) step it up and make a top 8 soon.

well in this particular tournament seeding has a lot more to do with placement of foreigners than ability. Thorzain/stephano/etc have all quite good results vs koreans but they had to play like 3x as many games as huk/naniwa. even if you have 80% to win, if you have to play 20 bo3 to get to the finals your chances are minimal.

Just finished watching the finals, good games, great tournament. Thoroughly enjoy the players, production and cast.
I do, however, have on remark, something I missed in comparison to previous MLG's. The energy from the audience. What a lackluster bunch of ..... There was more noise and hype in my living-room. MKP must have thought he was still in NYC at the MLG offices. I hope the next MLG some people attend who are able to get Hyped. (and don't say production wasn't able to capture the crowds energy properly. In almost every crowd shot you could clearly see, and hear, the lack of enthusiasm).
Congratulations to MKP for a big win. (Sorry for the lackluster celebration).

heh, it seems whoever won the last big tournament is the Best player in the world

Why is the "Results" picture not spoilered? I came here to find out the results anyway, but I'm sure there are some people who don't want to see...

Great tournament, but the extended series should go away . I find it rather unfair ..

You know how the seeding is done? you have to win qualifiers to get a spot in arena and have to be top 16 arena to get a seed. not an easy task to accomplish in itself. they had to play some amount of games. there was just (much) more time inbetween.

This is actually completely wrong. Thorzain/Hasuobs/etc attended the arena, didn't do as well and were put in round 5 open as a result. Thorzain got to pools and bombed out. Huk and Naniwa are just better than the other foriegners at this event. Socke went on a sick run despite doing bad in the pools. The seeding was a result of skill based competitions, and can attest to the ability of all of the pros there.
Stephano had some unfortunate bracket luck, but if he tried to qualify through the arena, he might have gotten into pools. Either way, Stephano lost to polt and inori, and both were taken out by foriegn zergs the very next round.

Agreed. But if you managed to go down that 20 bo3 and win it all one time, you deserve to be seeded at least a couple of times.

yay MKP!
Another 1st in the bag. Throw those silver medals away.
