It is time for the return of the Korean Weekly! After a brief hiatus the tournament everyone fell in love with in Season 2 is back and bigger and better then ever! No other event like the Korean Weekly have given such a sneak peak into the Korean scene short of the GSL, and now the action and excitement will continue!
For Season 3 we will be increasing the prize pool quite a significant amount, with the total prize pool for the season equaling $5100! In Season 2 the players and teams brought us some of the best games ever seen, and saw the rise of Taeja from a perennial contender, to competing vs Polt on a live stage at Assembly Winter 2012. Many stars and GSL regulars of today all have started their long journey in the Korean Weekly, and now even more then ever have a massive reason to give it everything they have and then some!
The Grand Prix has been the largest change, now with a $3500 prize pool! We at ESV TV are very excited to bring you another season of the Korean Weekly, and there is some other changes this season listed below.
This season will see a change in the viewing structure from previous seasons. We will now be offering a different more rewarding subscription service than previously. Here is a brief overview:
As you can see, unlike the previous two season of the Korean Weekly, live HD broadcasts will be offered only to subscribers. We strongly feel that for the Korean Weekly to continue to grow this will be one of the tools to help it keep getting larger and larger every season. Knowing that quality is important for such a visual game like Starcraft II, we will strive to make sure that our broadcasts are the best possible quality for all viewers, even those on 480p or below.
However we know that not all people are in the situation to pay for such a model, so that's why all HD VOD's will be released to all viewers, subscribers or not. Subscribers will receive the added benefit of quicker VOD access as well as many other great perks!
Past seasons of the Korean Weekly have seen different methods of releasing replays to the public, as not all games are broadcast. Releasing them all right away led to some Code S players shying away from the Korean Weekly, and using a consent based approach with the players led to no replays being released but more Code S players. I believe we have found a perfect middle ground.
Replays of all matches will be released to subscribers of ESV TV, even for the first time ever games that were broadcasted on ESV TV! However for active Code S players, the replays will be withheld while they are in an active season of Code S, until they either win the tournament, get eliminated, or fall in the up and down matches to Code A. At the point where any of the above happens, the replays of the player from any previous Korean Weekly tournaments they were in will be released with the next replay pack. This way you get every single replay of the tournament to dissect and Code S players can enter knowing their builds and replays will be safe while they are still aiming for that top prize in GSL!
Sick and tired of ads in streams? So are we! That's why we are offering no commercial interruptions for our subscribers. Never run for the mute button again from a rogue speaker breaking ad, just sit back and enjoy games from the top Koreans!
In Season 2 of the Korean Weekly we received record viewerships on each and every broadcast. With great viewership comes a very crowded chat room where holding any sort of a conversation gets very difficult. Season 3 will have tighter chat controls, with subscriber only chat enabled any time the viewer count increases past 4,000 viewers, and even less if needed. Having a fun and constructive chat room is one of the things that is what makes watching streams so great, and we will strive to offer you the best experience possible.
Yes it's a Space Shark, yes it's awesome, and you will feel awesome showing off your Shark for all to see!
Several aspects of how we ran the Korean Weekly in the past will be changed this season to generate more consistent and exciting play.
No more will there be your favorite player eliminated in a Best of 1, this season all rounds will be Best of 3 or higher. Semi-Finals will remain Best of 5, and the Finals will remain Best of 7.
There will be some changes to how players qualify for the Grand Prix. Previously four players from each weekly were chosen by top placing. However with many players qualifying multiple times, there came weird scenarios where someone would take a very low place and make it in off it. So for this season qualification is points based. Scoring a first or second place in a Weekly will net you enough points to guarantee you are qualified for the Grand Prix #2. Netting an invite will do the same.
In addition 12 more players will be seeded into the Grand Prix based on the points ranking. Players will gain and lose points based on performance, and players that do consistently well will be rewarded for such skill. While this is a bit more complicated system, as a tournament organizer I feel this will offer a better player base for the Grand Prix #2.
There will be four invite only players in the ESV TV Grand Prix #2, with two of the players already established. Winner of the ESV TV Korean Weekly Finals #3, ST.Squirtle will join the newest recruit of Team Liquid and winner of the ESV TV/Twitch TV Grand Prix #1, Liquid`Taeja as two of the invited players for their impressive performances in previous events! Both came into the Korean Weekly not even in Code A, and now both are top Code S players in the GSL, and will be a scary foe for any opponent they cross!
This will be the first full length season of the Korean Weekly, with eight weeks of competition leading into the ESV TV Grand Prix #2. The full season length will last for three months, and promises to be action packed from start to finish!
Yes English rebroadcasts are coming for our EU viewers! We have a dedicated streaming machine for them now, and expect to not have to stay up to an ungodly hour to watch this tournament. The exact time of the rebroadcasts is yet unknown, so if you have any suggestions, leave them in this thread (don't forget what time zone you are in)!
Due to the changes of the map pool (listed below) we will now be having a map veto system in place of a fixed pool. This should offer a more dynamic tournament environment. Each player will receive one veto in a best of three.
Due to the massive shifts lately in map pools, and particular ESV maps on the Blizzard ladder and in nearly every tournament, this season will very likely be featuring mainly if not all ESV maps. With favorites such as Cloud Kingdom and new guns such as Ohana, due to our unique map pool featuring only five maps, there is enough of our maps being practiced by the Koreans pros to make this happen.
Also for the first time ever we will be opening voting to the public on which two maps in our candidate pool you would like to see in the upcoming weeks of the Korean Weekly. I present you the four candidate maps, two of which will be chosen to be played by the best of the best.

So please let us know what you think about the maps, and which maps you think would be the best in this great tournament! The public poll will be for purposes of showing what the fans like only, and in the end the maps will be chosen by myself. All four maps are so strong knowing one is wanted by the public would help to tip the scales in favor of that map so your voice will be heard!
As you can see this is the most major set of changes we have ever made to the Korean Weekly in its history. Every change I and ESV TV make however is only to do what we can to make this tournament the best it can be and to keep providing the high quality of games that our fans have come and know to expect.
Doing without a major sponsor for this season as opposed to previous one did help move along some of these changes, but most of them have been in the works for a long time, or were a long term goal. In Season 2 the Korean Weekly set itself in a different league than all other online tournaments, offering the smallest overall prize pool of the major online circuits, but the highest average quality of game out of any with ever improving production and record viewership.
Being a small company without millions in funding from investors that competes with the companies that do sets us a step up above most of the rest, and we will continue each and every week to find ways to improve this tournament, from the map pool, to the new subscription model. I understand some fans may be upset about the subscription model, but increasing what is at stake for the prize pool is good for everyone from the players all the way down to the fan that knows that these players are giving it their all in every game.
I hope that our fans will like the changes, and I think the price point for the new subscription model is fair as can be, with it only costing you a bit over $3 USD a month to get access to quite a bit of content and replays, should not be a bank breaker for most.
As always I appreciate and welcome your feedback and constructive criticism, and will make sure your voice does not go unheard. Thank you all for your support of the Korean Weekly in Season 1 and 2, and here is to what should be a fantastic Season 3!

I guess 2-player and 3-player maps are no longer in style? Not a big fan of every map having 16 total bases but of those in the poll I like the layout of Serpent Sands the most.

2 player maps will include 3 of the 4 maps: ESV Cloud Kingdom, ESV Ohana LE, ESV Korhal Compound TE, and ESV Sanshorn Mist AE.
Just fyi i think I may have come up with the coolest points system ever (in my heavily biased opinion) for a tournament like this, ironing out details, but I think you guys will like it!

Do you know/Do you have plans of finding an arrangment similar to last season where the winner of the Grand Prix got a trip to assembly?
ESV Korean Weekly is the best tournament there is. Also it is awesome that Orb is back for this. His solo casting of korean weekly is one of the most enjoyable things for me. Can't wait!
Cannot wait, love this tournament so much. Will definitely be buying a subscription, really like the reduced price in pre-sale as well as the addition of replays as a subscription benefit. ESV <3
Voted for frigid pass and vicious in the map vote. Vicious looks like a really interesting take on antiga shipyard without the dynamic of a difficult fourth. On first glance I wasn't too keen on the rest but I prefer the base set-up on frigid as well as what looks to be an interesting center of the map with it not being overly complicated while offering numerous paths.
JUST FYI: DO NOT buy the subscription on our channel currently, it is different then the one coming up. I will let everyone know when it's ready to roll!
vicious is meh...its a remake from antiga shipyard and isnt really that much better, cant really tell. serpent will be cool, rest is also meh....why no discord?

Orb will be back. Adebisi will be around often, and we will have guest casters as well like last season!
Awesome! <3 <3 <3 *let me purchase my subscription already!!!!
Just waiting on Twitch to finish the backend stuff, it was a pretty drastic change to how our channel functions so it wasn't like a 5 minute fix. They are working on it hard, should be pretty soon we can gogo!

Nope, all 4 maps are all spawn positions enabled.
Confirming- Serpent Sands is any position along with the rest of the maps.
I voted for Serpent Sands and Vicious. Those are my two favorite maps; Avalon's third is too positionally imbalanced imo and Frigid Pass is really difficult lategame in vertical positions.

If orb is casting, i am 100% not watching this, i dont give support to organisations who hire racists. Especially when said racist is representing your product.

Go away. orb is not racist.
By not watching, you're increasing the average IQ of the Korean Weekly's viewership.
Will watch as always. Muted. Not because I find orb racist -I don't-, but because I'm growing tired of english casting and orb's 'I'm right and you're wrong, DEBATE ME' attitude while casting the ESV Weeklies isn't attractive to me. Besides spoiling some matches and bias towards certain players/races. I enjoyed the grand-prix way more because I had other choices, like Robin who was a nice surprise.
You guys should consider doing that: different days, different casters. And orb in the finals, of course, as he's the one who's been casting this the longest (and he's the most popular caster for this event, too).

I think getting fired from masters cup is enough dues being paid for what he did. Now if it happens again in the future that would be one thing, but I think it's perfectly reasonable to give the guy a second chance after the repercussion he has faced.
It's beyond me why Avalon doesn't have more votes. Such a beautiful map, with so many expansion options. Could work for a Zerg, a Zerg turtling against Protoss, any Protoss play, Mech or Bio. God I would love to see what Koreans could do with that map.
Are you guys going to have a better method of posting VODs up? Twitch can get really funky sometimes and cut some of the VODs for the tournament which would mean that not everything that is broadcasted turns into a VOD. (ie, the grand prix steams 2-4 don't have vods). Will you guys be implementing a better system so people that miss the streamed games can watch the VODs without having to worry about missing out? Also, what exactly do you mean by "early VOD access" elaborate please. (for premium subscribers) btw: it's so great to see such a smaller, home-grown tournament like this turn into what it has in the last year or so. You've really done a great job with this, diamond, I hope nothing but success for you guys in season 3.

The issue with the GP VOD's on channels 2-4 was an oversight that has been corrected. We will try and get much better about VOD's.
i am definately looking forward to this, the korean weekly is straight up, my favorite tournament to watch. i just wish the vods were easier to sort out.

Color mod is at the discretion of the streamer (as different people will be streaming as was the case last season). We will try and get high graphics on all our broadcasts, but it is not guaranteed at this point.

orb casts -> I subscribe. love the esv weeklies, definitely my favorite non major (MLG/GSL/IPL/Dreamhack) tournament that airs often for sure. One of those things where I come home from work -> watch ESV!
If you guys are going to continue to support orb (whom I love as a caster) then I will for sure subscribe.

Diamond delivering as expected, I love Korean Weekly for the high quality games and always showcasing new ESV maps
That said, I am sorry but as a an avid viewer of the Korean Weekly I have to criticize your map decision this time. I absolutely do not agree with this.
Especially Vicious is just terrible in terms of positional balance and altho I can see prodiG put some effort into the aesthetics, they still just give me eye cancer. Frigid Pass is a pretty meh turtly 4p mirrored, with a small middle, that imo will lead to really turtly average games similar to most other 4p mirrored maps. Avalon and Serpent Sands are kinda similar, I think I prefer I prefer Serpent Sands but both thirds are quite far and those maps don't convince me either.
Now let's look at imo superior alternatives from ESV. First of all I think you only considered 4p maps cos you have so many 2p maps already, but I don't agree with introducing inferior maps just because they are 4p.
First of all ESV Discord is probably my favorite unused map at the moment. It was top5 in MotM January and is just an overall solid and interesting map, would love to see this. Also a Grebliv map, ESV Sidewinder has been top5 in MotM February and again is probably my favorite 4p rotational at the moment, definitely should be considered instead of these four maps.
Some other maps I think are better than Vicious (and at least as good as the others) that I would definitely prefer to see are ESV Equinox , ESV Tanzanite or even ESV Blitzkrieg. ESV Pantheon or ESV Borealis might not be too bad either but not a big improvement over the maps you chose.
I already think Korhal Compound and Ohana are a bit meh so... with these map decisions you really lower my interest in the Korean Weekly by quite a bit.
I know it's not nice to come in a hype thread with such negativity and I could have told you this privately as well, but I think just as a viewer and fan of the Korean Weekly this is where my criticism belongs.

Please do understand that there is several issues here. The first and foremost is in the end this is a $200 weekly with a $3500 finals. While it's decently big, to have a map pool that contains 0 known maps would create sub par play due to very few players bothering to learn 5 new maps instead of 2-3.
Also the map pool can (and will) change at any time needed. This candidate pool is only guaranteed for Week 1.
Yes we only needed 4p maps for this because we have enough 2p maps, we will use new ones eventually, just not Week 1.
Orb is nice, but I hate that he doesn't click on things when observing. Sometimes I want to know what upgrades they have but he never clicks a unit, he just moves the camera around

Orb won't be obs'ing until he gets a new comp, with a payment model we can't have the non stop crashes.

This sounds great! My computer died a week ago, so I'm still quite new to streaming events from my ipad. I recently got the twitch tv app and I'm really impressed with it. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I wasn't sure from the text above as to whether I will be able to catch the Korean Weekly on twitch tv as well? If no, can I get access with another app? (remember, ipads don't run flash, so I can't watch it via the website). Thanks anyway and keep up the good work

Probably not, but the rest of them probably have the decency to not infiltrate this thread and blabber to the world about their tournament of choice being superior to ESV Weekly. Thanks for your input.
Glad to see Orb get another chance btw, should be a good season!
I like the participants and iniative of ESV. But I think there's too much credit taken, and im not happy about Orb being back. Also Diamond, you've always come off as a merde to me.

The map pool is never static, it can be changed pretty much anytime.
Still the current map pool is conservative (in a good way) : Ohana and Cloud Kingdom are no-brainer as standard maps. Sanshorn Mists is one of the oldest maps of your pool and you need - or needed - to test/promotoe Vicious and Frigid Pass for Dreamhack.
I wanted to bring up some light unto other maps that deserve some love, maybe spark some interest. I had the pleasure to modestly work with you for the last finals and it was a delight so I am encouraging you and your team by letting you know that your public want always more new maps.
Be sure to follow all the mapmakers on the above twitter accounts for all the awesome map updates~~

I like the safe choices- Cloud Kingdom and Ohana (now that it is season 7). Sanshorn Mists has been used for a while in the IPL and is safe, but it might be a little stale by now.

Yayy been counting the days for this to go down - can't wait! So many cool players in the brackets too it's hard to rout for someone. I'd be fine if Jinro or Treme made a good run - would've loved to see Sase in this though =/ - hopefully next time!
Hey Diamond, I was watching your Spotlight games and the new overlay while pretty is a bit much on the right hand side. I feel like alot is being blocked out (I know it's not that much but by blocking that gap thats usually there out it feels like half the screen is cut off)
Are you planning on editing it at all or am I just going to have to get used to it?

I think all that's being cut out is the command card, unit portrait, the replay bar, and the player vision controls. The one you saw in the spotlight is not final but pretty close, so try it for a week of the KW and let me know what you think. Might take a minute to catch on, but I think it's an improvement.
funny how the bio terran now goes into sky before the meching terran. Meching terran is in a huge advantage there, thanks to siege tanks, you can simply defend with +2 armor missile turrets and stop any bc push if they don't have pdds.
and the upgrade was +3 vehicle armor not +1 air armor :x
Would be better if the prize pool is a bit higher. I think there's a better chance at earning money on Playhem. Playhem gives out $200 daily, while that's weekly for ESV Weekly.

Playhem sponsors those pools through the $80,000+ dollars they got in financing, we support the $200 a week (plus $3500 finals) out of our own pocket with no financing.
We always will try and get it bigger and bigger but ESV is sponsoring this season so we have limits.
When that pylon died that was warping in the 4 zealots what exactly happens? Does he lose the 400 resources? Does he get the resources back but lose the production cycle? Does he get them both back?

You get the resources back and warpgate cooldown is reset.

I find it quite interesting actually... its like countering the new meta. Zerg go for no gas 4 queen into 4 gas at once after full saturation, terran realizes and just goes all in as fuck.
Same kinda deal with protoss 3/4 gating vs gasless 3 hatch again.
can't think of a more fitting end to this day than thebest dancing the scv + marine congaline across cloud kingdom for the win. so much cheese! fun to watch though.
i wonder if wacksteven is going to cast a few matches again this season, would be awesome! (i mean, he was casting a few last season if I'm not completely mistaken?) anyways, looking forward to tonight's games

Afaik he has chosen to lay off the professional casting due to time constraints.
AWESOME game, so good, agree with Orb, one of the best PvZ games I've seen in a while, loads of multitasking, that was great to watch. Dammit, Orb is reading my mind, I was about to type that. Great build, but how does it deal with super roach aggression.
Seriously how does one beat this as toss? Terran can just replace all his scvs at some point and spam you with nukes and emps, and vikings & scans take out all obs instantly so you cant even see the ghosts :/ I guess Toss shouldve sacrificed some workers but I really dont see a toss amry that doesnt melt to this instantly ?_?
So with the rebrodacasts, I think a better solution is non stop recasts of the previous day. So for today I am going to try that. For those that wish to go unspoiled here is the estimated start times on the casts today:
Estimated start time of Day 2 rebroadcasts: Wednesday, Apr 18 7:30am GMT (GMT+00:00) Wednesday, Apr 18 12:30pm GMT (GMT+00:00) Wednesday, Apr 18 4:45pm GMT (GMT+00:00)*
* = This cast may be interrupted at the very end for the live cast for Day 3.
(Please note if you set your time zone in your TL profile, these dates/times above will auto adjust to your local time!)
Being this is not a calendar event as is, this makes it more like reruns on TV, so you will be able to tune in the next couple days to ESV TV at any time and get Korean Weekly!
The overlay takes up so much space on the screen. Should get it toned back a smidge whenever you get a chance =S Other than that its a good first-time watch for me:D
ye, too bad life couldn't deal with tops push though. would have been nice to see how the muta would have worked. what a beastly game by life second game. insane.
Just fyi the prize structure has been changed to better reflect the importance of a Top 2 finish the prize payout is only Top 2 now. $150 USD for 1st, $50 for 2nd.

woo woo! desrow lucked out this week. but i don't see him beating life (who no doubt will best sage and weeked).
rooting for jinro, he has a lot of cheesy protoss in his path, but i believe. also rooting for life, hope he can go all the way this week. too bad seal didn't play this week either, hope i get to see him next week!
I don't like the overlay, it's too big and it's almost as if it draws your eyes away from the game at times. It looks cool, but an overlay is supposed to be an overlay, y'know?
Great production otherwise. Better luck next week Jinro.
Don't forget right after this the restream will start and go all the way until Day 2's cast! Will also include Week 1 Day 3 for those that missed in the rotation!

That was ESV Vicious. Rain abused played beautifully on that with that drop harass. To bad he forgot to get 3/3 and expand.
He even built that 4th CC pretty early...if he had just floated it over (and maybe floated out his main to the opposite 3rd/4th, he didn't need that gas anyway) before the Broodlords came knocking at his door and actually had an economy during that last fight he probably could have taken it.
Turning point : losing the hellions. With the hellions he could really put pressure, he invested a lot on this push but then he could not do anything really important to punish the zerg for going eco mode. Then he had to try slowing it down but it lead to bad engagement and bad trades.

Yes I know no one actually knows how the points work yet, just waiting on some graphics to be done that show how (cause naturally its's a SC2 tournament, it's complicated). Should be done soon.
Until then here is the rankings after Week 2. Red = Invite status (ie: guaranteed into GP #2).
Q: Why make this new complicated system instead of doing what you did before? A: Multiple reasons. One of the big ones is we found some instances where players were qualifying for the Grand Prix with a one off Top 16 performance (since we don't restrict already qualified players) while a player that has hit Top 8 multiple times and played amazing in even more weeklies was left out. I personally felt this was a grave injustice to the players.
Another major sour point for myself and ESV was that once a player (not named Taeja) qualified, they stopped playing in the normal weekly assuming they could not play or having non benefit besides $ to do so. Even worse if they did enter you could see spots where it was very obvious a already qualified player would not give the normal weekly 100%. We (and you the fan) want nothing but 100% all the time.
The last major issue is the previous system made it impossible to replace a missing player in the Grand Prix. This happened in the Grand Prix #1 with two players, and thus the groups with those 2 players only had 3 players (2 advance).
Thus this system was born.
Q: What is the basis (concept) of how this system works? A: There are four core concepts behind this system: 1: Rewarding consistent & dominant play. 2: Creating small advantages for players. 3: Making sure every player has a reason besides the cash prize to play 100% every single game. 4: Allowing a fluid system that can adapt to change.
Q: So who qualifies for Grand Prix #2? A: The 32 players with the highest point scores are seeded into the Grand Prix #2.
Players are classified in two groups.
Invites: More details in next question. Invite status guarantees you will finish in the Top 20 and only invite seeds can achieve Top 8 seeding. Currently for Season 3, there is 19 invite slots due to FXO.Gumiho double qualifying.
Open point qualifiers: There will be a minimum (again see invites below) of 12 players picked. These players will have a rating of below 2000 points (as they have not had a 1st/2nd place finish or invite), and cannot achieve a Top 8 seeding. Currently for Season 3, there is 13 open point qualifiers due to FXO.Gumiho double qualifying.
In case one of the Top 32 does not accept his seed, or is a no show, the next highest player is put in. So if this system was in use with Grand Prix #1, the two walkovers would have their seeds given to the 33rd and 34th ranked players.
Q: 1200 pts for invite? What? That seems out of place. What is this invite system? A: The invite system is given to a maximum of 20 players broken down as follows:
(1) - Korean Weekly Finals #3 Winner - ST.Squirtle (1) - Grand Prix #1 Winner - Liquid`Taeja (2) - Actual invites, players TBD by ESV TV (16) - 1st/2nd Place finishers in Korean Weekly Season 3, Weeks 1-8
In the event that a player qualifies twice for an invite, they are not given another one. Any one player may only get one invite. In this case the invite seed is moved to the open point qualifiers. So for example in this season FXO.Gumiho has had two second place finishes (Weeks 1 & 2). So one of the 16 invites now goes to the open point qualifiers.
Q: Bonus points seem confusing, can you explain more? A: The bonus points system is designed to create the small advantages. The biggest of the bunch is obviously the invite status. This automatically moves you into the Top 20 in rankings. It is detailed more above.
The next biggest set is the Grand Prix and Championship bonus points. At ESV TV we always reward the players that have played with us the most, and the Grand Prix #1 Top 8 means not only did they play in Grand Prix #2, but also the regular season. So they are rewarded for this. Also this will be the first season we will be able to reward champions of major lans, and we have done so. This can stack as many times as needed. So for example MKP would gain +20 points (1x MLG Arena, 1x MLG Winter Championship), while a players like MvP would get +40 (3x GSL Code S, 1x Blizzcon).
The smallest (but most stackable) of the bonus points is the "Series Sweep" bonus. This is rewarded in the Season 3 normal season, Week 1-8. Every time a player sweeps a series (both 2-0 and 3-0) they get +2 points. There is no limit to this bonus and it applied every single time a player sweeps a series.
For example in a 64 man bracket (6 rounds) if the winner is to sweep every series he will get his normal points, and then an additional +12 points for that tournament. Again this is a system to create small advantages.
Q: -20 points for a no show? How does that work? A: This works to both stop the rampant walkovers that were happening, as well as make it punishing for a player to forfeit because he was playing a teammate and had already qualified in the later rounds. Now in ANY round if you do not show for your game, you will get -20 points. As an example in Week 2 Departure gained +24 points for reaching the Round of 16, as well as series sweeps. In the Round of 16, he was not online for his match. So he then gained -20 points leaving his net gain at +4.
This is no longer a small minor circuit. The Korean Weekly has $5,100 in prizes this season and millions of viewers, walkovers are bad for everyone and now they will be bad for the players too to discourage this.
If you have any more questions, ask away because I know this is all very confusing.
Hey guys, just sent out the replays right now. Might take a little bit to receive them. If you haven't gotten them by the end of the day PM me with your justin.tv / twitch.tv account name and I'll send you the pack myself.
I bought it... I just wanted to say I like the casters you have, esp Orb. Also, one of the selling points for me is that ESV always seems to be streaming. I love just tuning it whenever and watching what's playing. I don't follow ANY league, tbh... only weekend tournaments like MLG perhaps. So, it's good to just watch what's on rather than following everything and sorting through vods.

To play, I believe all you'd have to do is contact Diamond and he'd give you the time/channel to be there at. I'm not sure what his criteria are, but that's how it works for our players.
This is for the regular weekly, the Grand Prix format can be found somewhere in this thread.

Not sure if it wouldnt be worthwhile to have a new thread for each day of the week with an approximate schedule, or at least for each week a new thread. I always found it a bit weird to see so few posts for such a great tournament exhibiting Korean talent.

Agreed. Wasted far too many banelings. Asd's push should have at least cancelled the third but he went for the natural and lost quite a few marines due to bad micro, game pretty even at the moment imo.
i hate the a move after spreading marines while infestors just move away and wait for their money fungal. But the creep spread and creep deny was pretty awesome this game, but with no bank you shouldn't try to bust your head through a wall even if you have ultras, they lost their spike on the head.
Asd has always had really good lategame tvz. I really believe coca should never have got back into that after the bust but then he got into a really good position but too much wasted energy on infested terrans and sloppy ultra control.

He really is. Taeja will be a step to far in the finals, however.
Funny how the metagame is cyclical. The counter to those hyper greedy terran builds that tech to everything but still can defend vs roachbling is the good old muta build. TvZ is a beauty, even outside the game.

Replays are emailed out each week to the email you have you twitch tv acct registered to. You only get future weeks, not past ones.
It's actually kind of funny, jjakji is basically telling all the up and comers to get out by killing them without letting them show anything, feel some sympathy jjakji you were like that in November before you won it :<.

the first game of the tassadar vs lucky seires from the week 5 pack seems to be the second game from their series in week 3! other than that happy for a new batch of awesome reps.

Yeah, held off 2x factory reactor hellions with lings/banes/queens without losing any drones, then pushed with tons of roaches and a few banelings against hellions.
We are having some issues today (ie: no casters, everyone coming back from MLG) so we will not have a live broadcast today. The Weekly will resume tomorrow as normal when everything is all set. Sorry for the delay but it will be worth the wait!
Ok looks like we will be having to put off the cast of the rest of the week, with MLG, GESL, and a few other issues we are at a massive shortage of casters. We will be sending out the replay pack to subscribers as normal this week, but the cast will be after Orb returns. The brackets will be unspoiled until the replays are sent, but the final result is below for those that don't subscribe or don't care about spoilers. Very sorry to all that were waiting, but I'd rather give you a proper cast instead of something silly like having to solo cast it myself (I am NOT a good caster).
Here is the result of the finals and again so sorry .

I get this really strange feeling that you like taeja diamond. Also bumblebee is terious right? The guy who endured the worst month in Korean progamer history following his loss to avenge by getting owned by scarlett which was followed by going 0-5 in up and downs which featured a hardcore idra gg timing which followed by elimination by I have no clue how you win master col.heart in macro games which was followed by being snubbed by prime in team leagues which is now followed by him becoming team less.

No, never heard of him before today, seems promising however.

Taeja decided to win everything now. Got trough his gsl group, won the weekly, got trough the mlg quali and all killed prime... yeah i bet he's pretty happy right now, all in less than a week.
Sorry for the late reply but twitch had disabled the ability to email subscribers so I'm working on making my own mailing list to send them off to you guys from another email address. PM me (this goes for all subs).
