All the others did a great job and I can see Incontrol doing more of that role in the future I agree with this. Overall a nice event, but there are things that can be improved upon. All in all I would have liked a stronger player lineup and I miss 2GD as an interviewer/host. Of course there are other things that could be improved upon, but those are the two things that stood out to me. Also agree with the Incontrol part, he did an awesome job and I really hope he continues to cast/host etc on the side of being a pro gamer himself. Reading several posts where people aprieciate Incontrol as a host. I like incontrol and think he is awesome and I think he is decent as a comentator. And maybe he is cool as a host but the interviews he did after each of final games during DH was not good, expecially with the Koreans but also with others ie Thorzain. I just dont think he has any talent in that. Few people manages to deal well with Koreans in tournaments and its not only because of that koreans dont understand and/or are dull. Having 6 years experience in Korea/Japan/China I know that you really need experience to reach and understand them. Better to ask people who have lived in Korea or have experience to deal with them. You need tons of respect/humbleness to begin with, thats not americans best talent to be honest.
Well, that's a very broad reaching statement to a country with hundreds and millions of people living in it.

NVM no point in arguing against anti-fans. (for the record i am not a stephano fan.. just unbiased)
Stephano is certainly playing at a very high level. However, his point was more so in my opinion to dispel the Stephano fanaticism with how he would dominate Code S because of all the Protoss players. You never know with foreigners (i.e. Naniwa and his previous winless record dominating Code S this season) but the gross exaggeration of Stephano's capability to sweep Code S Protoss players is a bit annoying. Especially, considering statistically, Stephano is hardly dominant against Koreans and there is a fair share of PvZ experts in Code S as well.
This is also coming from someone who is unbiased about Stephano

I changed it to westerners because compared to Japanes/Koreans all westerners are not humble. However, if you want to generalize, and sometimes you need, the loud amercian attitude tends to worse in Japan/Korea. I _promise_. It does wonders in western countries though and I personally love the american way.

And it seems that you missed the point, from those 250 M people living US (or 9M in Sweden), please find those who have experience with korean culture and/or are good interviewers in general. Don't take the cool guy to do it or the first pro commentator who happens to be around.

I've got Genius vs. Ret, Thorzain vs. Polt so far. Thorzain winning and all the hype around that was cool, but the best game of the tourny for me was Nerchio-Monster game 1. Maybe because ZvZ usually isnt that cool, but no game had me stuck in front of the screen like that. Rest of the series was the normal ZvZ antics though (not too enjoyable).

Yeah, I'll get around to watching that. The Thorzain vs. Polt series was pretty interesting. Thorzain was WAY into Polt's head all series, and it really looked like he played it the way TvP is played. 1 Rax into Rax+Tech+Upgrades, and the timings worked out to where the contain was never very serious. Early game depot spread by Thorzain is pretty legit too, totally saved him that last game.

I' totally agree with how you stated it this time around. But to just shit on an entire country's mentality and character to make your point was a little strong.

Does anyone know if replays will be released? If so when? Where?

Id recommend the second game between monster and Thorzain the all-in hold is sick

no need to watch the games
just watch the stuff that happened after each win of thorzain

I agree with the recommendation for the second game between Monster and Thorzain. I'm not sure if it'll have the same effect watching the VOD, but it was one of the most tense moment in the entire tournament. Comparable to Thorzain's hold against Naniwa in TSL3 final in my opinion. You can literally feel the crowd holding their breaths the entire time.
