puma might beat happy so im goingto say 3-1 empire
|
Yeah, I see only Puma (maybe) winning so i predict 4-0 or 3-1 for empire.
|
Demuslim < Kas JYP > beastyqt PuMa > Happy Machine < Violet
PuMa > Kas
I'm feeling fairly confident about this one. Interesting to see them field machine, but considering IdrAs luck recently and HuKs reluctancy to play, I guess it could make sense.

DeMuslim has a pretty good chance to win against Kas, JYP has too, Puma vs Happy definitely favors puma and violet obv beats machine
I say 3-1 for EG, or 3-2 for EG
|
Kind of ridiculous how much people under rate EG's line up. For starters, Demu is really good, even looking at his games last week in NASL he beat Ryung 2-1 and I would argue Ryung is better than Kas. Now this doesn't mean he will beat him, but the people predicting 2-0 are delusional. Next JYP is actually really good... Same with Puma, I swear they are under rated and I am not even a fan of EG. This all being said I think it will be a 3-2 or 3-1 Empire, but I see literally no way for a 4-0.
|
Kas 2-1 Jyp 2-1 Puma 2-0 violet 2-1 ( but machine could take this because he has been playing good on stream, but violet is a winner)
ace Puma vs Kas (but i could see Puma Vs violet as well) Eg 3-2
|
|
Demu 1-2 Kas JYP 0-2 Beasty Puma 2-0 Happy Machine 0-2 violet

They are currently ranked in the top 4 and are 5-2 while EG is 3-4. People aren't underestimating EG. They are just going by what has been happening and that is Empire performing better than EG in the league so far. It's understandable if you think about it.
|
DeMusliM 2-0 Kas JYP 2-1 Beasty PuMa 2-0 Happy Machine 1-2 viOlet
3-1 for EG
|
I think Empire will dominate
|
Empire ezpz, better lineup for this one.
|
If the Ace is Puma vs Violet, Empire wins. If the Ace is Puma vs Kas, EG wins.
|
DeMusliM 0-2 Kas JYP 2-1 Beasty PuMa 2-0 Happy Machine 0-2 viOlet
Either that and a sick ace match or jyp fails vs beasty and empire takes it 3-1.
|
|
So little confidence in EG :-(
I can understand why, but i hope they will show they are much better than most people think.
|
Kas has really strong TvT, JYP has weak PvT, Puma slumping, Machine gonna get outmicroed in ZvZ...
Doesn't look good for EG. Empire 4-0 or possibly 3-1 if Puma wins.
|
Looking forward to demu kas. Should be an interesting match, havent seen enough of demu's TvT lately, though TLPD says he's beaten ryung and sjow lately so cant be too bad
|
Demu's TvT is sickly good atm. Beat Ryung 2-1 in NASL and was dominating Select in multiple games on his stream yesterday. Puma TvT is awesome too, not that long ago he beat MMA at IEM WC. JYP's PvT is decent now, he just keeps playing against stupidly good TvP players at GSL (Jjajki yesterday)
I say 3-1 EG, with Machine losing to Violet. Or maybe Puma > Kas in ace match. Pretty confident for EG with this lineup (which normally I'm not)
|
Empire wins after ace match.
|
DeMusliM 2-1 Kas JYP 2-0 Beasty PuMa 1-2 Happy Machine 2-0 viOlet
gogo machine!
|
DeMusliM 1-2 Kas
JYP 2-1 Beasty
PuMa 2-0 Happy
Machine 0-2 viOlet
Ace
PuMa 1-2 viOlet
|
DeMuslim 2-0 Kas JYP 2-0 Beastyqt PuMa 2-0 Happy
|
beasty is a tvt expert iirc... jyp should be able to do fine aganst him Puma should beat happy... Kas probs win, violet will win...
2-2 i think to ace
|
4-0 or 3-1 for Empire considering the matchups, PuMa can take Happy but those two have had really close matches in the past. Should be close series but 1 sided match score.
|
I think the first two matches are going to decide the series. Demuslim's been playing exceptionally, but Kas is a beast. JYP's pvt is his worst matchup, but he's still a top notch player. I think Puma and Violet win their matches.
|

We'll probably see him for mouz this week still.

This must've either been played at the middle of the night, or just when DeMusliM and Abbe broke up. I refuse to believe that he plays this bad when he's got his mind to it.
|
Kas playing better in every aspect, I love seeing him do well.

Kas' TvT looks really strong, good job by him. Sucks for Demu, hoped he could at least get to 3rd game. :/
Beasty next... dayum, can't wait. :-)

Brutal by Kas. DeMu just seemed... slow. Letting his marines get hit repeatedly by Kas' tanks, even allowing Kas to get to that position anyway, despite having scouted him midmap... I dunno, really out of character play from DeMu there.
|
I'm guessing:
Demuslim < Kas JYP > Beast Puma > Happy Machine < Muslim Puma > Kas

Yeah... you missed the whole first set or something The stream is always advertised in the OP and IdrA advertised it too before he stopped streaming right before the match started. You should have actually checked the stream. Fortunately you didn't miss much

Happy usually plays super-safe and turtles/camps for ages, not being the aggressor can also make you look weaker than you are.
It was a really close series imho, but Puma deserved to win in the end.

That puma vs happy series was one of the best TvT i have seen played in a while. hope machine can close it out!

Violet, you're turning violet!!!

lol violet doing such a bad build:/

Watching PuMa play this season, I've really been impressed with his heart throughout all phases of the game, fighting to the bitter end and never letting up on his opponent, even when he's behind. His series vs Zenio really showed this, I have gained a ton of respect for him and his play.
Well played by Happy, he turned the tables boldly in match 2 after what must have been a really frustrating opening game.

If this is the case, violet should probably put a bit of time into getting over his fear of banelings, because the build order he is doing sets him unbelievably far behind - more so than suffering a baneling hit to the mineral line.

What they didn't show is that Happy was dropping ALL the time during that game, not just the times they focused on it. If you watched the minimap you could see base after base getting denied by Happy, which explains why he was so defensive back home.

Nothing wrong with predicting a team, which was 5:2 t win over a team which was 3:4. Upsetes happen sometimes, there is no need for calling all the guys out, who were wrong.

Of course. The brain/heart/dick voting shouldn't just be brain. Your brain will say Violet, but my dick and heart said Machine. Majority rules.

As if those weren't well-informed predictions, and as if the final result wasn't an upset -_____-
Very proud of Machine btw.

Not sure it was an upset of any sort but there's nothing wrong with picking Empire, who cares what people predict, they can predict whatever they want. All of the matches (except Machine/Violet, we THOUGHT) could've gone either way.

Prediciting Beasty over JYP and Happy over Puma is definitely not a well informed prediction.

Why not? Happy 2-0ed Thorzain just a few days ago, and the last time they played each other, in NASTL iirc, Happy beat Puma. Additionally Puma is so on and off lately, it wouldn't have been surprising if Happy managed to eek out a win, he has become a really good player. Also, his tank-heavy style is really difficult to play against, and Puma might not have been extremely familiar with Happy's playstyle.
And Beasty is actually a great player as well, JYP might have been favoured, but I definitely expected Beasty to give him a challenge.

It wasn't that much of an upset.
Beasty has some sick talent imo but I'd say his not-so-good matchup is TvP. I wouldn't predict Happy over PuMa never, PuMa may not be on his best form but he has Code S TvT when he's playing good.

Because Puma is a multi time Premier LAN winner and Happy's won a lot of Go4Sc2's and Craft Cup's.
Anybody can beat anybody in Sc2 but predicting Happy over Puma is not in any universe a smart prediction.

Surely Puma is the favorite against Happy, but the predictions (when nothing is on the line) are a mixture of guessing and hoping at the same time. If you watch a lot of a players stream and see, how good he is, you will maybe predict him to beat someone more well known and look like an idiot if it doesn´t come true. If you know, how much a player is able to do, you predict him to win, although his opponent is a more succesful player in general.
About the bold part: In a universe, where WC3 is played, Happy would be an obvious prediction against Puma.
