It's so a team can't just train one player 100% sc2 and play them only in the ace match, since it avoids the switching games rule.

I think it's so you can have a gosu sc2 player who always always just plays 100% sc2 and just dominates the ace that way and never plays otherwise lol sniped by dodgin

lol did they really put guemchi quotes into a bradygames guide?
Yes. Yes they did. I can't remember them off the top of my head but other than the obvious, lings are good vs immortals some of it was absolutely crap lol

Warp prisms store a unit as data in some sort of Protoss crystal. Then it recreates the unit from that data. Warp prism can fit anything the only limitation is the amount of data that can be stored.
Its interesting that even with pro players their micro, hotkeying isn't better than current Sc2 players. Is it something with sc2 that makes it harder to control?

Why don't they Ctrl-C Ctrl-V the shit out of those data, and spawn 15 colossus for the price of one?

This game was infuriating. He went Dts while ahead, which did nothing. He tried warp prism colossus harass, while ahead. Then he invested in shit tons of tech he didn't use.
It's funny, because if he had just sacked his main/natural and pumped voids instead of building 10 colossi after losing that battle in the middle he'd have had like 60 voids by the time his main/nat fell and he might've won with that silver league team game mass void strategy.

Guemchi totally gave that game away imo. He had the advantage in the mid game and then decided to make bad engagements untill the end.

I don't think I've seen a PvP colossus engagement that bad in pro-play aside from maybe one time when HuK in the EMW had 5 colossi attacking a pylon during a huge engagement instead of fighting with his army.
Man, mis-microed colossi battles might be the most painful things to watch in SC2.

If only they could rent MVP or DRG, just for a day.....

Lol, it's just that they aren't at a skill high enough to combat Protoss' relative ease of mastery.
On June 02 2012 13:47 ZeromuS wrote: I dont understand why the bw players all think p is op, its not like protoss is winning every tournament out there :/
Not in other tournaments but in Proleague so far P has a big win rate over T and Z.

Maybe it's the FF that makes them think so, remember in Beta every1 said it was op

I wonder if it has to do with how BW mechanics translate over to SC2. These guys have great map awareness/reaction times, and that probably allows them to not miss forcefields in the early game/let units up their ramps, etc. Late game Protoss if allowed to macro well is really scary and being able to shut down drops prevent early harass with strong game awareness is probably most beneficial to a toss player.
They just don't seem to have much of a grasp over the meta-game or all ins or real strategy so I think they just think Protoss is easy because it works well with the skills they have.

I think someone needs to strap these guys down, hold their eyelids open and marathon the last 3-4 GSL finals.

They would just Neural the probes, and build Nexuuuuu.

They will have an agreement to send their 3 races in the same order. MirrorMatchuProleague.

(Well, not like it's worse than PvP all day ;D)
TvT has always been pretty dynamic, and I think ZvZ has also become pretty fun to watch these days, so that would be ok!
I can see the Coaches on the white board for these teams:
As far as we've determined, the Colossus is the best unit in the game. As long as we aim to build these in every game, as much as possible.. we should win.
That was awful, but may have been the most phoenixes I've ever seen in a pro PvP, and so I was able to have some fun with it, despite nothing really making sense throughout the entire game.
Goddamn, it's kinda sad to see how awfully bad Proleague is now... They need to fully focus on SC2 asap if they ever hope to catchup with our top players...
I remember seeing Kal beat the shit out of sAviOr on many nights I stayed up late to watch Proleague... so I can't say that didn't bring a bit of a smile to my face...
At least CJ/Stars will be good. Effort and Zero are both SC2 today, so that will at least be one or two non-PvP's. I also believe Leta and Light are also SC2, so we might see a TvZ or TvT!
On June 02 2012 14:08 Xkalibert wrote: SKt at 6th place and Kt at 7th place. Do they always have bad start at the league or sc2 transition affecting them?
KT sucked to start last season, losing to ACE and T8 just like this season, but then had a long streak.
They are also the two teams who went to the finals last season and then a vacation right after, so those two teams by far have had the least amount of full SC2 time.

KT often have bad record in the first round of PL, SKT not so much.

Then a Terran will go 11/11 proxy rax against Z and won

I think slumping for SKT and KT would be 3rd or 4th. Obviously the hybrid league changes everything and there's really no telling who's going to be the top teams this season.

Just watching the vid on Sayle's channel, that Sang vs Guemchi PvP was hilarious. Jaedong vs Piano was pretty funny as well. Very entertaining games and casting by Sayle so far, thanks! (Really nice being able to skip the 10+ mins between games as well of course)
