I have a really off-topic question. What continent is Australia in? My friends and family tell me it is its own continent, but I am not convinced.
Attempt to stay slightly on-topic: Glad to see Tastosis casting. I really enjoyed Tasteless's Real talk appearence.

But thanks buddy, I enjoy the hostility and the answer.

Australia is part of the continent Australasia.
Damn it... we can still get in without tickets though I think

@Odious Tea - there were rumours about standing room, but also people saying those rumours were false and that you need a ticket.
@Steelavocado - The difficulty in the question is that there are many different definitions of contents, there is straight set of continents. The word continent originated in Europe where it was used to define EU vs. Africa vs. Asia. It was then later adapted to define the America's as two extra continents. There are always grey areas though - is the middle east part of Asia or Europe? Is India part of Asia (it is often instead referred to as a sub-continent, although in India itself people are taught it is part of Asia).
Australia is made up of two islands, the main landmass which is roughly continent sized - as well as tasmania. It also has control over a number of islands which are territories (but not states) of the country. Sometimes Australia is referred to as its own continent, it is also sometimes referred to as being a part of the content "Australasia" or "Oceania" - in these cases the difficulty is in putting a boundary between Asia and South East Asia (aka. SEA - the name of our sc2 server). So there is no one answer - any of the above are "correct". There is no official list of continents.
In terms of these tournaments - WCS Australia = the country Australia, and WCS Oceanic is a broader tournament including New Zealand.

Only way to get in is with a ticket. Seating only, no standing room. A lot of mis-information has led to a large majority missing out on going to this awesome event. I know I was one of the people that believed that even if I didn't get a ticket, I could still stand at the bar or in the standing room areas. Sad to see so many good people miss out on the 300 tickets available. Hopefully they organise a barcraft or find a more suitable location for the event to truly show off how big SC2 is in Australia.
FYI, 300 capacity is smaller than the amount of people that turn up to the local barcraft in Sydney, and that's without the Tastosis bump.

So I only managed to get tickets for the Saturday - does anyone know if Tastosis is going to be casting on both days? Or just the Sunday? :/
I really hope they are casting on the Saturday too...

Big shock to see how quickly these tickets disappeared, even given the circumstances. Very fortunate to have scored some. This is going to be AWESOME!
A bit unfortunate that the venue is so small, but hey, those of us with tickets just need to be extra rowdy on behalf of all the people who weren't online within 15 minutes of ticket sale. Now that Tastosis are actually coming, it might mean next time next time we get some more warning and can book a bigger venue to seat more nerds!
Also, keen to see HD & PainUser - I haven't seen much from them lately, but I know PainUser has been streaming a TON.
Oh and all that continent talk - Australia is its own continent, plain and simple. Australasia and Oceania are regions (they are assigned based on countries/continents you are referencing - you could make one up for any combination of countries/continetns), not continents themselves.

I took the time to interview some of the WCS Australia competitors earlier this week, including Legionnaire. Keep an eye on Battle.net, they should be up soon!
