This double-elimination tournament features 24 teams from around the world and is an All-Kill team format. This match is being played for Losers Round 5. The first team to defeat everyone on the opposing team's roster (5 wins, or a best of 9), will move on in the Losers Bracket, while the loser will be eliminated entirely. Keep in mind that this has a $20,000 prize pool, and only six teams will make it to the money!

Oh wow IPL it's so nice of you to put on a show match between dongraegu and symbol but why is it BO1 and why does the winner have to play those other players....
I think that TSL has the slight edge in terms of quality in terms of roster, but both are very similar in some aspects. A Zerg team ace (DRG and Symbol), a strong Terran (Polt and Keen), decent Protosses (Inori and finale/Vampire) and a slew of Zergs who make an impression (the likes of Shine, HyuN, Sniper and Monster). I think the keystone to both teams are around the Zerg team aces, but the supporting cast is honestly strong enough to evenly match them. Still, I think TSL can beat MvP 5-3 or 5-4.
6pool seems to be becoming almost standard for entombed ZvP. I feel like this is the third or fourth time i've seen it in the last two weeks in tournament games O_o

Entombed seems to be considered a good protoss map and it's hard to get a full wall off at the natural so it seems like a reasonable decision. I wonder how it will pan out if gateway expansions come back into the game though.

Yea I think we'll definitely start seeing gateway expand a little more often on this map. zerg is pretty much assuming that the protoss is going for FFE and they always end up ahead after 6pooling as long as they dont do something stupid like Moon in the GSTL where they try to baneling bust after 6 pool after being scouted
I'm noticing an alarming trend with Vampire - he's so desperate to deny overlord scouting that he puts his sentries way out of position. Did it the other day in the GSL too - seems like he does this often and could be used against him.
Sending Revival first against MVP is such a genius move. You don't want to send zergs against him, but since TvZ is still really hard, you'll mainly use your protoss players at him.
Forcing the opposing team into something you can predict is a huge advantage imo.
Hum Revival played was quite bad here... I mean, drop all his army into a ton of stalkers blink and then dont build infestors pit against maaaaaaass stalkers blink... What do u think?

I think he thought his army would be able to overrun Finale,, and stayed with that idea a bit too long. Can't blame it, it's easy to feel like you can do it for too long.

Well really they're going to have to right? It's not like Zerg for TSL, MVP only have so many protoss players.
That said most likely last two players will be Sniper and DRG. Both good at ZvZ and probably safer bets than Keen or other terrans.
EDIT: Actually MVP have 5 protoss players...surely not...

I've never heard of Keeping before but it would be hilarious if they go through with using all 5. They've used both DRG and Sniper in this league before, though. These matches could be right around when Sniper vs Hyun took place in the GSL so they may be looking to avoid that.

Honestly, I think HyuN could challenge Symbol's spot as the TSL top Zerg pretty soon if he continues to improve at the rate he is. His road to Code S is beating Genius, which I believe he is capable of doing.

I think their only zerg that can take out Hyun is DRG and they probably dont want to use him early
Sniper or Monster could do it.. I don't understand. Hyun is not TSL ZvZ sniper, it's Revival and he's gone already.
HyuN beat Sniper 2-0, so it is not like he is terrible at the match-up. Just that Revival and Symbol are overall better at ZvZ, but HyuN's ZvZ has improved quite a lot from before.

Well HyuN just took down Sniper 2-0 in GSL Code A http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=353503 I didn't see the games so idk how close they are an of course this is bo1. Also, these games are played a little bit in advance and those games were this week, so they may not have wanted to put Sniper out against Hyun

As Coach Lee said, they put both of them next to each other, and tried to make them share strategy and stuff. A lot of symbol wins are due to Hyun strategy or thought. And a lot of TSL players say in interview that Hyun is the best player in the house.

So how many IPL episodes should we wait for DRG to be at full power to kill off TSL? Next time on IPL Team Arena challenge: fans!! give me your energy while I power up!

Major also said in his TSL4 interview that he practices a ton with the TSL team and that he believed HyuN was probably the best zerg on the team

I can't remember but a foreigner in Korea said hyun was the best player on TSL, I think it was major.

It was major, in his TSL4 interview he said Hyun was the best zerg on TSL (and he practices/lived with TSL for a time so he should know)
I really have my misgivings about this JulyZerg-esque Lair tech Baneling all-in of sorts. If it doesn't kill the economy of the Terran, you are basically dead. HyuN seems to use it a lot, but he really has to think for long term games, though it is on Antiga.
Dream's biggest mistake seems to be not forcing chokes at the two entrances to his half of the map, if he could have engaged in one of those instead of out in the open would have done a lot better.
Dream is able to hold his own against Zergs I noticed, but I'm not too sure about his other MUs. Still, he looks like a young potential, along the lines of Illusion in some way.

I'll send a zerg against symbol over a kind of average TvZer like Keen anyday at the moment. :/
Keen is so average that his ZvT is 4th on TLPD atm, right?!
Keen can be good at ZvT, but Keen is too inconsistent of a player to come out as your ace. He either owns or looks awful. They probably should have used him earlier

No one. They're both broke.
This game was incredibly boring the whole time... base trade didn't really make it any more exciting either imo
i enjoyed that lol, i like the creep tumor snipes and the burrow micro.i think it would be amazing if pros used burrow more, obviously thats easier said than done.

I'm going to be honest, Inori played terribly. He delayed his 2 base all-in so long and just had some of the worst force fields I have ever seen. Hopefully Polt will be able to clean this match up for TSL
I'll admit when I first saw that sniper made code S I instantly went "wtf is he doing there" but as time passes since then I'm now convinced that sniper is actual code S material.
Polt played well against Scarlett on Atlantis Spaceship, but Sniper isn't exactly Scarlett. Hoping for Polt to win as always, but this is going to be a challenge.

In some sense Polt and Sniper have equal armies because of the worker factor, but Polt is being starved out, and has not been the most efficient with engagements.
Sniper's infestor control is godlike, he lost like 1 in that game and got away with making relatively few infestors and could spend the gas on crazy amounts of ultras.
Polt played too aggressive against Sniper, and paid for that by constantly losing his armies and 7 o'clock because his army was not in position. Is it just me, or is Polt's TvZ being "figured" out in some sense? He lost to Nerchio 3-1 and now to Sniper who he should have won against.
Well done by Dream and Sniper though, they kept MvP alive with some excellent play.

Happens all the time. He finds a TvZ style, owns, gets figured out and then moves to a new one.

Yeah, I'm getting the same feeling as well, I don't know what happened in the past few months. Polt, I'm disappoint

Well, who would have thought people would actually go from calling ultras instant-loss units to overpowered? :p
Weren't Zergs in the past using un-upgraded Ultras and throwing like 12 of them through a choke? Now, that smarter Ultralisk play has arrived, and Terrans realized that Broodlords can't deal with drops, ultras may become a stronger unit than BL? Imagine that!
It would be cool if IPL could start trying to get interviews (online of course) with the MVP of each TAC match if possible, kind of like the GSTL. I'm sure many would appreciate that.

Polt's fine, he 2-0'ed Xtreme and 2-1'ed Maru in Code A. These games were a few days before his Code A games vs. Xtreme, so he was most likely practicing TvP more than TvZ.
Losing to a really good Code S-level Zerg on Atlantis Spaceship is not a huge deal.

Ultra have always been good. It's mainly player making less of them with more lings/bane support, and specially creep spread which help a ton.
People need to realize that most fight terran were winning pre patch are lost now because zergs units have more creep.

Exactly, Ultras are damage sponges, not the dps of the army. Cracklings and fungal deal the dps, while Ultras soak up huge amounts of damage.
