Group Stage 32 players divided into 8 groups of 4 players. 2 members from CIS, 1 from Korea and 1 from Europe. The group played in 1 Round, Best of 3, dual tournament. Winner of group goes to winners bracket, second place goes to losers bracket, third and fourth eliminated from tournament. Playoffs Double Elimination. 8 players beginning in winners bracket, 8 — in losers bracket. In winners bracket played Best of 5, in losers bracket — Best of 3. Finals — Best of 5. Super Final — Best of 7 with score 1-0 in favor of player from winners bracket.
If you're sending 2nd place in groups to Losers Bracket, then that's literally just double elim from the start, just organized differently. People who 2-0 in group go from Ro32 to Ro8 of WB, and people who 2-1 go to r3 of losers (basically)... might as well make it a true double elim bracket.

But the top 3 could all go 2-1, or the bottom 3 all go 1-2. It's kinda different.

It's dual tournament/GSL style groups not round robin.
I hope inviting Liquid players is really good news for all of TL members, so follow Ritmix RSL II, we will bring you even more exciting players! =) Welcome HerO, welcome TaeJa!
I didn't follow the RSL I, so I don't know how it's done, but I feel like if you invite the best terran in the world to the "Russian" sc2 league ... well, don't be disappointed if top 3 is hero and taeja
At first, name of the league is more of historical part, the first season of RSL was played in 2009, if I remember well (it was Brood War yeah) Secondly, we are working for CIS (mostly russian) people at first, having game time and other things like this most suitable for the Eastern Europe. And 16 players of 32 represent Russia/Ukraine/Belorussia.

they invited Bomber, Losira and Creator last time, Bomber didn't make it out of groups and Creator and Losira got knocked out first round of playoffs, it was a full CIS top 3 with Nerchio taking 4th
I hope that this time the organizers manage to run the tournament within a shorter period of time. Great roster so far, looking forward to watching some good games!
The level of online EU tournaments is increasing nowadays. It's good for our boys. The 8 guests of Europe have all beaten Code S koreans before, add to them a fairly substantial CIS contingent and you have an awesome tournament. I hope you are casting that in Russian and Ukrainian too
You really gathered fantastic lienup here. Props for getting Scarlett - you can rarely see her in tournament action but I believe she might become the third foreign zerg powerhouse.
seing the amount of european and ukrenian/russian players, wouldn't it be easier for the players to play on EU server unless they are facing koreans where NA would be fair for both players ?
Allowing EU players to play on EU means allowing KR vs KR on korean servers too, in other ways it will be really unhonest. Playing on 3 different servers means many problems for casters and big pauses between games for the audience. That's why we're playing groups just on NA.
Wow, the player line-up to this is actually insane, the eight koreans are all Codes S caliber player. And the foreigner line up is almost a complete list of the top foreigners.
well... Group A: Kas,Neytpoh Group B: Dimaga,Vortix Group C: BratOK,TaeJa Group D: Titan,MarineKing Group E: Happy,Scarlett Group F: Nerchio,Symbol Group G: White-Ra,Bomber Group H: Fraer,aLive
Holy shit this is stacked :O My predictions would be Group A: PartinG and Kas Group C: TaeJa and MaNa Group B: Leenock and DIMAGA Group D: MarineKing and ThorZaIN Group E: HerO and Happy Group F: SymboL and Nerchio Group G: Bomber and WhiteRa Groud H: aLive and Fraer
My predictions: Group A: Kas, Neytpoh (I belive, Neytpoh can do this) Group B: Leenock, Dimaga Group C: TaeJa, BratOK Group D: Titan, MarineKing Group E: Hero, Slivko Group F: Nerchio, LoWeLy (LoWeLy has VERY unstandart play style. I dont think Symbol knows that) Group G: Bomber, White-Ra Group H: aLive, Fraer (Bly???) (Hard to predict this group. Bly is very unstable player. Bly can win top korean players today, but he can lose to mediocre european player tommorow.)
First day of the event is Monday 27th August, 17:00 CET. This is group A with PartinG, Kas, Neytpoh and SortOf fighting. You can find russian stream at sc2tv.ru, all other streams will be published later by Panishev. Don't miss!

Last time Symbol and LoWeLy met, Symbol won 4-1 total, so he understands LoWeLy.

We had some issues remembering the names of the players because they were playing on smurf accounts. You were timed out because you would not stop going on about it even after we apologised, so quite the opposite of us being rude .
On a brighter note, enjoying the tournament so far, some great games today especially the Kas vs SortOf series!

I literally drooled a bit looking at the player pool for this tournament. Oh my god... just... omg you invited ALL of my favourite players! (Well, except HuK but he doens't play cross server usually). Way to go, I'm going to be watching this with extreme interest.
Drives me crazy that marines can go toe-to-threads with hellions and siege tanks. It just doesn't look right to see so many scorched marines and out of their ashes more marines just walk through and take out the hellions and tanks.
Edit: I should add that it also doesn't look right seeing hellions take out tanks. That's just as weird.

Kas' upgrades are irrelevant. Bratok on the other hand does have bad armor on mech as he only had 1 armory which was used for attack as far as I could see.

It's not the marines that do it, it's the medivacs + the marines

Playing against TaeJa is like a nightmare... You never know... He has insane macro and win like 90% of his lategame, and yet he'll just do these insane all-in builds early on that he just executes like a cheese-specialist
No doubt that this is mindfucking all his opponents hard

I feel like he's one of the few players who seems like they could just attack at any point from anywhere.

Well, that's is one sick group. I'm looking forward to it.
BOMBER! You should win everything, and that's why it crushes my heart when you lose so much. I'm glad that Parting was able to advance already. I hope you can too.

wouldn't it be better to play on EU server ... i mean WhiteRa, Feast and Roll are all on EU server anyway... maybe NA for the games against Bomber but not for the rest ?
Group E will be played on September 10th, 17:00 CET. It was already confirned by all players =) If we allow EU players to play on EU server, we should allow to play korean vs korean players on KR. We're not ready for it, clearly. And White-Ra's problems can't allow him to play even 1 game, it's entirely impossible. But we will try to do something.
So, it's sLivko, Scarlett, HerO and Happy tomorrow.
A very good group, I'm especially interested in Scarlett's play. She hasn't really played in any big tournaments apart from IPL 4 and the NA-only WCS events and she keeps cancelling her participation in every other LAN event she is announced to be at. Obviously she's got the home server advantage over everyone but that alone won't be enough to beat these strong opponents.
sLivko is probably one of the three best ZvZ players in Europe, she can't take him lightly - even if it's ZvZ, I think the games will be very interesting since sLivko isn't an aggressive player who's trying to finish the game early.
HerO hasn't looked invincible in PvZ, so the two Zergs might have a shot, but he's still a very scary player to go up against, and his PvT should be solid enough to make Happy worry about his chances. He's still the micro and turtle king, but he might have trouble getting to his famous late-game on even footing, if at all.
I don't think I'm able to predict this one correctly - if I had to, I think I'd go with HerO and the mysterious Scarlett if she performs at the level most people think she's at.
Still, Koreans have looked quite mortal in this tournament with PartinG losing out to Kas and Nerchio defeating Symbol, so an upset isn't out of the question. sLivko could definitely beat both Scarlett and HerO, Happy probably less so but I refuse to count him out just yet.
Certainly a great group, I'm very excited to watch them play it out. Tomorrow afternoon at 17:00 CET, guys - tune the fuck in!

Excellent write-up. Will definitely be tuning the fuck in.
I do have to ask though, is this really played on NA? Seems strange given the name of the tournament, but I cannot find any official information in my (limited, to be fair) search.
Yeah, everything played on NA. Last season was solely on EU, as a result, all the Koreans lost relatively early, TSL3 all over again. This time they play all games on NA because they want to be fair to everyone in the KR vs EU games.
Scarlett and maybe Thorzain depending on when his group is played are the only players who would play from NA, so it doesn't really matter that much in terms of NA vs KR/EU.
KR vs KR is on NA because few of the assigned casters have KR accounts afaik.
And yes, EU vs EU is also on NA which I personally find really stupid, but they say it'd be unfair to the Koreans who have to play their games on NA and it also reduces downtime when every match happens on the same server and no one has to switch.

I'm fine with Take, German is almost Swedish. Hoping for a Scarlett vs Hero game, I do think Hero would wreck her with his awesome PvZ style but it would be an awesome series Slivko is sick, but Scarlett has some damn slick ZvZ if she plays him. Hmm. Hard to call.
Scarlett should be able to take down Happy fairly easily I think, slivko has some good ZvZ but hopefully Scarlett can overcome that. I expect Hero vs Scarlett to be close games but hero still wins 2-0

She's gotta beat sLivko first, since it's GSL format and not round robin.
Maybe she won't even play HerO. Assuming HerO beats Happy and sLivko beats Scarlett, if sLivko lost to Hero in the Winner's Match, she'd be stuck with ZvZ again in the decider (also assuming a win against Happy, of course). Her first match against sLivko should be a good indicator of what we can expect from her, we still haven't seen nearly enough games of Scarlett to know how she matches up against everyone.
Anyway, Happy vs HerO is the first BO3 of the day, I hope it goes to the lategame. No, I'm not a masochist.

Hero blew it by doing a nexus-cancel all-in despite having a huge ego lead. If he just played it out normally, it would have been a comfortable win. That's definitely the first 60 probe 2 base all-in I have ever seen!
edit: Hero probably still could have won with the all-in despite the infestors, but he wasn't paying attention and engaged in a horrible position with all his sentries clumped.
Yeah, HerO threw it. He kinda got the bad end of tech choices but if he'd just defended and teched to colossi, this wouldn't have happened. So he took a risk and it failed.

Scarlett, you just beat a Code S protoss who went 4-0 in his up/downs and 2-0 in his ro32 group by crushing Symbol. Not his best play, but still, a good day's work I'd say Well played! It makes me really happy to see muta ling bling in ZvP too!

It's really not, you only have to put cannons up at you natural and third, then you automatically defend your whole main, since there are only 2 ways in and out. Then you just put your stalkers in between your 2nd and 3rd and you are safe since you can blink in all 3 directions (except if you are playing Scarlett). Well Okko and Salt, both GM zergs also agreed on CK being the worst muta map there is, so I didn't make it up at least.

Well Okko and Salt, both GM zergs also agreed on CK being the worst muta map there is, so I didn't make it up at least.
I'd argue that entombed is worse. At least you almost have a chance of doing run bys at the 3rd on ck.
Haha yeah maybe, I don't play entombed but I believe you.
I just vetoed it today after being done with its bullshit. I was keeping it open just because it's in some tournaments but now I'm done. I can't deal with a map that terrible.

Possibly record for one player. In the heyday of blue flame hellions there were sometimes gamed with ~200 workers killed but that was both workers killed counts combined. Hero vs Annyeong in IPLTAC3 had a massive workers killed count as well by hero, but I'm not sure if it was as high as 161.

Take is casting his own tournament today and imba.tv almost always show up a bit late, maybe they'll cast some games later.
But the polish guy is really nice, doesn't hurt to watch his stream, it's in very good quality, too.
A small request: I was wondering if you could change the OP so that the names of the players in each group remain listed outside the spoiler even after the group has been played? Currently there's no way to see which players are in which group without opening the spoiler and getting the results at the same time.

Yes we could :3
Awesome, thank you <3 Mega VOD time for me now :D
Also looking forward to seeing Bly own face tomorrow.
This tournament is insane. Crazy lineup, why have I not been following this? Seems like foreigners are doing pretty well, might be due to a little lag on the korean side though. Still amazing, looking forward to see some of these games!

Hm... upcoming group will be the first group where I cannot confidently guess who will advance. With the recent WCS, LucifroN definitely put a huge result onto his nametag. But him, Bly and Fraer are skillwise so close that I can see anybody winning against anyone.
Also aLive untouchable armor has gotten a few cracks lately. But I still think it is safe to assume that he will advance.

my guess :b
It's RSL, no Korean apart from Taeja is allowed to get first in their group. I'm sure at least one player will upset, we'll just have to wait and see who.

It is a good strat when your opponent keeps going hatch first. With scv pulls, you will do enough damage to make it worth it because your opponent will need to pull more drones than you pull scvs (of course, scv pull will lose more mining time). Or course, vs pool first, the terran will be playing from behind.
Hope TitaN gets his breakout tourney at a high profile event soon, he's so good lol. It's cool watching him play "serious" games on his stream, you can see his apm/micro/macro level goes up like 3x compared to when he ladders lol xD

It's pretty cool for online tournaments, I think, but on the other hand you could consider it unprofessional if you're allowed to see all the background stuff going on - there's a reason most well-known casters switch to their cameras or/and a neutral screen/overlay when there's no games going on.

He wasn't playing to win, he was playing to put on a show, and if Thorzain didn't attack untill 2-3 minutes after when he did, MKP might of won the game.
Although it doesn't seem like MKP is trying his hardest to win this, because everyone knows that any sort of mass starport build does not work unless the opponent sits back and macros for ages and never scans.
Guys, MarineKing isn't really taking this all that seriously if it's not obvious already. His GSL Ro16 group is on Wednesday, he doesn't want to show anything before his GSL group. Plus, he probably wants to get some sleep.
So MKP is out of the tournament? That was quite unexpected. Probably ping to NA and the fact that there is deep night in Korea made it hard for him to concentrate.
We're starting in less then an hour. FnaticRCaLive, K3.LucifroN, Acer.Bly and RoX.KIS.Fraer are ready to battle for Ritmix RSL II playoff! Who do you think will advance? ^^

"only 1" is, to be frank, one too much considering who they are. :p
So we've got the best players from Ritmix RSL I (Kas, fraer, TitaN) in the winners bracket and a bunch of great Koreans in losers. I'm rooting for Kas there, hope he'll be able to defend his title this season. Let's see how it turns out.
I like the casting by imba.tv crew, today duffs said he was up for 24h or so... It's a great thing as he seemed to shout a little bit less, which is a good thing.
Wow, Koreans got worked in the group stage. The only korean to make it out of his group first is Taeja because he is a boss. If this were a normal tournament where 1st in group played the second in another group I would think it was a ploy by the Koreans to all play foreigners and avoid killing one of their own but this tourney isn't like that. Hopefully a foreigner or Taeja can win this.

Yeah, that's very likely as the Koreans will eliminate each other in the losers bracket. This tournament is pretty stacked, it's so hard to predict who will actually take this... I'd go with Teaja but I say go Kas!

I kinda feel sorry for the second caster on the Imba.TV stream. The main caster (dunno his name) won't stop talking for minutes straight, leaving the the other dude desperately trying to string together some kind of commentary during the few chances he gets; in the process, he'll often just echo what his colleague said or launch into a monologue of his own. Him not sounding like the most experienced guy doesn't help, either (although his analysis isn't off and his input is alright).

Actually, I don't think it matters. With 6 pool, it is auto loss vs rax first. You basically have committed with most of your drones before your first drone scouts the base. Even if he see rax first, going back with the drones makes you MASSIVELY behind.

You can surround the Barracks with Drones/Zerglings, prevent the first Marine from escaping and force the Barracks to lift; at this point Terran has only SCVs. That's what Leenock did to aLive on Ohana.
On October 06 2012 02:04 xongnox wrote: That's not the point. If you see the barracks, you can camp the rax and then surround the first marine ASAP he get out, then you can win :p
If one or 2 marines get out and go behind SCV, T just win.
edit : cross : yeah
I think at least 1 marine gets out (depending on rally) even with 6 pool. And that 1 marine just kites you with SCVs if you try to surround the rax
For some reason, Taeja has the smallest near max army I have ever seen. His marine tank army in the middle was so damn small for some reason. And he never saw the Ultra transition so no marauders.
And you can't engagement Ultras at that spot. Terrans need to turtle up on their side with 5 bases with tanks on high ground and able to hit the choke points. Mvp probably has the best positioning if you watch his IEM games. He then adds planetaries there and makes the raven transition.
When you have a match coming up, it's just weird to have computer problem especially on your own house with plenty of available computers. This is most likely a cover up.
bomber and parting should have gotten their walkovers 45 minutes ago.. a coinflip to decide the last one if they can't reach them either.. easy.. You just don't let players and viewers wait for 1+ hour.
This is a little ridiculous tbh. If the players can't get their computers to work, or simply cannot play, just drop them. Instead of forcing the viewers to spend one hour waiting for someone who probably is not going to appear, I think it would be better to simply walkover the other player just so it's fair for them when they appeared early.
At first, please sorry guys for today's fails of our organizetion. I had to stream ukrainian ESWC LAN and couldn't do anything for RSL so we had to spend so much time just waiting and waiting. I hope Bomber agrees to reschedule game vs HerO because he really tried to do all he could do in that situation. If not... ok, that will be bad. Please enjoy watching aLive vs Symbol right now!
Sry guys for this terrible delay, it's fully our fault and we will do our best to avoid similar in future. HerO vs Bomber will be rescheduled for the next week. Probably on Monday. HerO had compelling reasons to not participate today. Ofc it's not quite fair to Bomber, but missing this series will be fully unfair to viewers.

I don't like walkovers at all but asking bomber to reshedule after waiting more than an hour is plainly disrespectful. Noone from the admins in the created game had any idea where hero was. One guy kept saying he was taking a bath 1 hour long, other than that no info. I'm pretty sure a tl staff would have informed you if there were any it-related issues.

I'm happy that Hero was given another chance. I just hope that Bomber doesn't mind. And you the organizers taking full responsibility is nice, hopefully you can learn from it and make the tournament even more awesome in the future!
VortiX vs Titan is so hard to call. Normally I'd go with VortiX since he's in sick form, but Titan's PvZ is quite frankly ridiculous. Going with Titan, Hero, Mana and Leenock winning.
HerO went home to visit his parents for the weekend -- something he doesn't do very often, maybe a couple of times in half a year. While he's at his parents he obviously doesn't have his own PC, so we've been sending him to PC bangs. In our hope to find SC2 and relocate SC2 to the NA server, we've been to 4 different PC bangs, tried for more than 4 hours total of relocating, etc. In the end when we relocalized from KR (which worked), it of course had to update StarCraft 2 for the NA patch. In none of the places and on different PC's, it wouldn't let us update to NA. It timed out on the Blizzard launcher and there's nothing we could do from there. We tried 3 different relocalizers and a bunch of different PC's. We couldn't get it to work. It's important to mention that the tournament would only allow LIVE play on NA server -- which under normal circumstances would be fine. We offered to play it prior to the LIVE setting and/or LIVE on Korea server. None of these were possible for the tournament themselves. I hope this gives some insight on that we actually tried very hard to get this to work. Just unable to come through unfortunately.
And saying that the admins had no clue where HerO was at any time is just non-sense. I was in contact with the admins both before, under and after all of this. At all times. If there was any incident of someone not being responsive, it was the RSL admins themselves. If anyone had doubt of what was going on, it was due to poor communication by the admins.
However I am sorry that we couldn't get it to work and a big thanks to Bomber for being patient with us. It means a lot and will definitely be granted the other way around, if ever needed.

The winner's bracket final and loser's bracket final of this tournament will likely be all Zerg. It's also possible that the match before the loser's bracket final will be two zerg, because Symbol, Leenock, and the loser of Scarlett and Nerchio are all likely to be favored against any non-Zerg, except Taeja.

Thank you! It's probably fine, and Bomber is fucking awesome so he'll be your friend and help you whenever (except when it's in game, then it's time for bombing). ♥ Fighting!

We really wanted to make Bomber vs HerO games happen, but it was absolutely impossible. Bumblebee is absolutely right, we DID know what was going on and that's why we asked Bomber to reschedule his game, because there was really nothing HerO and Liquid could do to make that match happen two days ago. Bomber agreed - and we're very thankful for him too - but it was no chance to see HerO playing today in time. We decided that it would be completely unhonest to make Bomber waiting for HerO today too, that's why we decided to give him W/O relatively fast today. I'm so sorry for all the viewers who waited for this game but we really couldn't do anything to make it happen (as streaming this game on KR, via replays and so on). I'm also very thankful for HerO and Bumblebee who tried to solve this problem till the last moment, that was an example of great professionalism. I'm a big fan of HerO myself and I'm wishing him best of luck in all the tournaments he will ever play <3 Hope there will be a cross-server client in StarCraft 2. In the "real soon" -_-
ps.
Noone from the admins in the created game had any idea where hero was. One guy kept saying he was taking a bath 1 hour long, other than that no info. I'm pretty sure a tl staff would have informed you if there were any it-related issues.
Don't know if it's true, but anyway please sorry for that. On Saturday (the day when HerO had to play vs Bomber first) I was on Ukrainian ESWC LAN, my mate was orging for me and there might be some communication problems. Hope there will be no such ones in future.

Is it hard to download NA client, install it and patch? Everyone knows that relocalizers doesnt work after 1.5.3 patch and here we have korean progamer who doesnt know it? It is his (and yours) job - you should know this. I will never believe that 4 hours is not enought to dl client and patch it.

Everyone knows relocalizers usually work fine. I use mine many times every day.
Edit: And usually it takes longe rthan 4hours to do everything. Every time I've tried to download SC2 from Blizzards site, I've been downloading at like 200-400kb/s and my max download is like 8mb/s.

It's still correct. The admins in the game would have told bomber, the casters and the viewers about the situation if they knew instead of waiting an hour without saying anything, right?! I was watching the whole thing from the start as RSL is the only tournament I can catch and watch live. But yeah, seems there were communication issues between the admins themselves. Huge props to Bomber. I can't think of a player that would wait more than an hour especially when past midnight. Thx for clearing up the situation tho.
I honestly have no idea who will win this, Nerchio should be the favorite, but Scarlett has wicked ZvZ.
Kas vs Symbol should be pretty good too, though I think Kas would have to pull a rabbit from the hat to pull it off. Hoping for Symbol vs Bomber as well.
I knew it. I thought "I will open the thread and say blindly: so, what games will be not streamed today?". Seriously this tournaments should be streamed from replays.
So, what are the odds this thing will actually happen today? I might attempt to read the entrails of the bird my cat left in the kitchen this morning, I'll get back to to you with the results.
Good move from Leenock, he choose a map nobody except koreans train on ! How the fuck is Atlantis Spaceship in the map when most of the players are CIS or EU ?
GGs, slightly anticlimatic, but still some pretty cool stuff. Four zerg, one terran, one protoss is actually king of cool too I think. 2 Koreans, 4 Foriegners? Good stuff.
Thanks emsc.tv for showing the replay afterwards! It was pretty funny though, "We are back sorry once again this is the Polish stream" Nerchio GGs "Holy f***ing sh**"
Oddly, I remember Scarlett saying her least favourite match up was ZvZ, yet all her major finals that she has won have come down to ZvZ. Vs Ostojiy in Canada and Vs Vibe in North America. I've got high expectations for her over Vortix.

It's true. To be honest though, no respect to Vortix but I think Scarlett may take that series with relative ease. She just beat (IMO) Europes best or second best (to stephano) ZvZ. (yeah Stephano's worst matchup is ZvZ but that doesn't stop him from being europe's best. Meanwhile Nerchio is a ZvZ monster).
What's the score? I only saw the game on Daybreak that VortiX won just now and the Spanish caster has no score overlay. Ah, okay, Emil is back, was down for me for a while.

Pretty sure it's 2-2
Ye, ye, I just saw the Polish stream is back up, he has the score. Haha, Scarlett basically asks if he saw the 9pool while 9pooling.
And on the topic of her ZvZ, she's said before that she feels uncomfortable in the matchup but heh, I can barely remember last time I saw her in a game that wasn't ZvZ, and she's become quite the badass in it. She's so consistent in such a volatile matchup, and her mechanics and decision-making really shine through. I do hope she feels more comfortable now, she has reason to.
Meh, I want VortiX to make it through and embarass Scarlett like he did Stephano (Stephano said he'd "already won" at WCS Europe, then got equalised by VortiX as he lost the first set, even if he did win in the end), but my bet's on Scarlett still - she's too good.
Much as I would like the last terran in the tournament to make it to the finals, Vortix vs Nerchio for battle of best ZvZ in Europe (excluding Stephano) and then winner takes on North America's finest in the finals would also be spectacular.
Bomber gets to walkover to the finals and since Scarlett will start 1-0 over him, she's got a really good chance of winning. She did beat him 2-1 at MLG Dallas so that must help her confidence.

And it seemed like an easy match for her. But isn't there Vortix, Titan or Leenock that can still reach the finals?

Nerchio mistaken with dates (he thought games would be on Friday). He is fully unable to play tomorrow due to school. And we are unable to change schedule.

Not really, he beat Roll, lost 2-0 to Feast, barely beat White-Ra and then got three walkovers against strong players, only game he looked good in was the 2-0 against Kas, but you can't really say he's looking strong when he got more walkovers than actual wins.

Strange, it says bo3 in format. But yes, I'm certain that Leenock was up 2-1 when the last game was played. I am a little absent-minded though, so I can't swear on it. :3
man....I found this tournament really hard to keep tabs on. I'm constantly checking the OP or latest posts for updates on when the next game is played, but if I don't get around to checking for a few days, I miss the times and then miss the games...
I would genuinely have liked to have watched more games on twitch, and could've taken the time to do so, but I often didn't know the games were happening.
I'm asking this question way too late, but was there a schedule that I was unable to locate? It seemed games were pretty sporadic with minimal notice as to when the next game was.
All that being said, I very much appreciate RSL for posting the replays quickly! I just would've liked to support you more by watching the games live.
Cheers,
Ramone

Nice! looking forward to some good old HD commentary
Where will HD's stream be? And organizers, will you let the OP remain spoler free after the finals + put a link to the VODs? I can't watch the finals live so am hoping to be able to watch the games afterwards without having the result spoiled while searching for them

Scarlett was responding to those questions from about who she would like to face in the finals fairly quickly, though.
You know, I'm starting to see the reasoning behind zergs letting their hatch finish when it looks like they're going to lose it. It happened at MLG in a big series too iirc. The non-cancelling person gets SOOOOOO much more time to react to what's going on rather than losing drones. The hatch is gone either way, and the broodlings help get some critical early damage on those starting lings. Still not sure it's the right play, but there is some merit to it.

That's what I thought too, you're gonna lose the extra early production anyway so you might as well use the hatch to delay the lings and not lose drones too. You do lose 300 mins, but you don't really have the production to use them on anything anyway

Yeah, didn't expect a korean to win it from the losers bracket, especially against the foreign zergs! Great tournament overall. I still wonder how they did get this sick line up for that prizepool! Well done guys!
And thanks HD.. it would be very unpleasant to not have english commentary for the finals!
aw what, I missed the games. Just lookin at the scorelines though, impressive results from Vortix and Scarlett, stretching Leenock to game 5/7 respectively. Leenock is the second best zerg in the world right now and a contender for top 5 overall.

Just watched the game VODs, and I have to say it was really satisfying watching Leenock playing aggressively against Scarlett who's known to cut corners in ZvZ. Really enjoyed all kinds of semi all-in working for Leenock punishing the greedy play from Scarlett.
