Bad engagement by Idra after he was massively ahead lost him the first game.
The second game it was 15 hatch vs early pool + drone pull.
Idra is better than puma so..
i'm a big fan of Idra and wtf did i just read. do you really believe that?
Yes I do. Want proof? Go to this link :http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/IEM_Season_VI_-_Global_Challenge_Guangzhou and scroll down to the playoff bracket and look at the lower half between the Terran and the Zerg and tell me who won with a one sided 3-0 sweep.
Puma 3-0 Idra NASL S2.
Boom.
You're welcome.
Yea, but Idra's win was in China, which means he was jet lagged and Puma only had to come over to China from S. Korea. In that NASL2, Puma and Idra both came from the EG house, so they were in the same condition.
The fact that Idra was jet lagged and still won is more impressive than Puma beating Idra when he wasn't jet lagged.
i heard that in guangzhou that in the hotel room idra had a pillow and puma didn't
pumas sore neck made it difficult for him to look at the minimap
idra took an undeserved win
This has to be the most ridiculous thing I have read in ages on these boards... congrats I guess lol. You realize that unless Puma is playing on a 120inch screen that all you have to do to look at the minimap is turn your eyes... I hope you were just trolling... -_-
WTF stop trying to make light of a serious issue!
The fact that the hotel at IEM Guangzho showed foreigner bias proves that eSports is being corrupted on a totally new level. I demand a full investigation into this hotel and the corporations that support it. Anything less and we would be killing eSports.
You are thinking along the correct lines, but you clearly lack the full story. The investigation you are calling for? Already happened. It was under tight wraps, so do not worry about not hearing about this, but the truth is that IEM cancelled their trip to China this year because of the hitherto undiscovered controversy. Carmac was on this from the beginning. Let me give you a rough timeline.
i) Idra wins IEM Guangzhou.
ii) Suspicion grows within the IEM organization.
iii) Carmac orders the investigation.
iv) Initial reports confirm the worst; wholesale corruption and esports conspiracies abound.
v) Carmac starts fashioning some cover up stories, not wanting the truth to be revealed.
vi) Posing as Sundance, Carmac severs relations between JP McDaniel and MLG; setting up RealTalk for the former employee.
vii) RealTalk takes off, JP sees success as an independent operator, the community sees it as a legitimate good for the scene.
viii) The report is finalized, the results damning.
ix) Carmac goes on RealTalk, talking about everything in order to keep his straight-talking, no-fluff, shoot from the hip persona intact in front of SC2 fans everywhere.
x) IEM Guangzhou 2012 is cancelled. Because of the political instability of the region, no-one will question the decision. Because of the fronts put on by everyone, the brewing scandal is overshadowed and the community is none the wiser.
All in all, IEM got lucky with having Japan and China fighting over an island, but it all worked out.
