Don't put your “GO TERRAN” foam fingers away yet. TakeTV’s Stim to the Win Tournament rolls forward into the Playoffs! The Terran stacked group stages are over but we still have a very Terran heavy bracket. From the initial group of 24 Terran, 4 Protoss and 4 Zerg we are left with 10 Terrans, 3 Protoss and 3 Zergs moving forward: Happy ForGG KrasS Satiini ClouD Beastyqt Kas GoOdy LucifroN BRAT_OK Nerchio Stephano XlorD MaNa Titan HasuObs
Nice schedeule with a match I'd want to watch almost every day. Also the matches are played at very good times for me. So I'll make sure to tune in to as many as possible. Will Naruto be there to cast all the matches? (If not, who will the casters be?)
not sure about contracts and things, but i think coz he startetd to play this tournement before the suspension took action i think he still allowed to play there... but honestly idk...
Why doesn't Nerchio get disqualified for this? This wasn't just one of his usual insults+ragequits. He's continuously flaming for 10minutes now. Multiple times ingame and now in the tournament chat channel and game lobby, just keeps going. What is wrong with this child.

thx, bio with ghosts sounds really cool, well happy is the ghost king
What is up with Nerchio? I thought he was finally grown up and stopped with the ragequit and flaming. Happy to cheese Nerchio and get him raging real hard now!
No lag on my side as well, must be local problems of the stream service. E.g. twitch is known to lag alot in central europe, while being fine everywhere else. And huge turnaround due to a mistake by Stephano, will we be able to see a final game?
Hehe I don't know how Stephano held off a immortal/sentry all in while forgetting ling speed hehe. Stephano looks in super form for all the next months tournament. Cant wait to see how he is going to do

This new ling style Stephano does now completely counter immortal/sentry all. Parting would get crushed unless Stephano forgets lings speed again.

STEPHANO LINGS CANNOT STOP PARTING'S SOUL.
Well, we'll likely know who is right soon since Parting and Stephano will both compete in three weeks in the WCS final
As expected, what started as a 75% Terran favored tournament ends up as a ZvZ fina...
Wait what?? Three fourths of the semi-finalists are Terran!!
That's right! Stim to the Win has succeeded in delivering a Terran featured finale. Our final four will battle it out to split the $1800 on Friday, Nov 09 4:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) with a pair of TvT and TvZ match-ups!
one of the early favorites, advancing overBeastyqt and MaNa
The Tournament will continue with the Thrid Place battle for $300 before the BO7 grand final where the winner logs off $1000 richer! (and someone else also makes $500).
All matches will be broadcast Live in German from TaKeTV and in English on TaKeTV B Stream

With all the retirement talk some have hinted at ClouD being next :O Hopefully getting this far (and further?!) will keep him funded and motivated!
Cloud said on twitter, that he really tries to focus on gaming until december and quits if he does not see improvement in his play. Beating ForGG is hopefully his first step to keep on playing.

Let's hope not. The entire point of this tournament was to show more TvT and TvX matchups, given how boring/annoying/repetitive PvP, ZvZ and PvZ can be.

Finding a certain match-up "boring/annoying/repetitive" is just a matter of personal opinion. They just happen more because there is more top Zergs and Protoss players. If this tournament just has a Terran version, it's being condescending. And if Stephano wins, it will look even uglier.

Given how unpopular these matchups are across the board and throughout all major communities, it's a bit more than "personal opinion".
> They just happen more because there is more top Zergs and Protoss players.
And why do you think that's the case? Shouldn't be too hard to come up with an answer.

Ahahaha. Oh dear. Did you seriously type that with a straight face? Tournament organizers can do whatever they want, it's their event and their money on the line. "Condescending" ... shakes head
looking forward to finals. i really think luci has a ecent chance agaisnt stephano. maybe the only western terran who can possibly win against him. possibly...

Stephano is sick, as was mentioned earlier in this thread. Caught something in the plane, didn't sleep well if at all.
Must definitely not be helping here, but this is a bit disappointing still.
I just watched an interview where he didn't look sick at all, and said he was feeling great and wasn't even feeling jetlagged and was very excited and ready to play.

Ah. Well, I don't really have a clue myself, just referring to that post a couple pages ago. Though apparently it's Lucifron not getting enough sleep, not Stephano, according to that same post (Stephano being "only" sick). Got it mixed up.
Getting neural parasite was probably an error, I've never seen him getting it against bio in ZvT, he made a third evo for no apparent reason, he also normaly gets his baneling nest exactly as his hive pops which he delayed by a lot this game.
I don't know he's making a ton of mistakes he doesn't usually makes. The games against Kas he did win but it was a lot closer than it usually is and he didn't look good at all in them.
I have no idea what Stephano is doing. He's just rushing to mass upgraded ultras, without making any units in the meantime. And instead of stalling with infestors, he stalls with banelings.
It's like when Savior started to choke back in BW, he liked his defilers so much that he cut more and more corners every time to get them until people learned to own/cripple him before he could get them.
edit: not saying Stephano's slumping, but this does look pretty bad. Though Lucifron being a beast is helping in that regard.
I found the main german stream to be fairly entertaining despite me not understanding a single word in german. It was a neat finals though, <3 LucifroN
I'm not that surprised because LucifroN has been the best european terran since he started playing seriously again, and that he is as good as many top koreans terrans, but how did he manage to beat Stephano? In particular, did Stephano play bad (like losing maps to NeOangel, losing to TT1 and MaNa) or what?
