I predict a return to form from DRG. He's gonna rack up at least 3 kills and then it will be up to the rest of MVP to try to take down ST, not sure if they'll be enough to take down the protosses and Life though.
StarTale FIGHTING! A shame I won't get to see it, but ST has plenty of options to dismiss DRG, and several players who are just as good if not better than the rest of MVP's roster. Startale 5-3!
Seems strange since the two teams that came second in their group are facing each other in one semi, and the two first place teams are in the other semi.
Hack will bop tails, tails is bad at PvT I still remember happy vs tails (Happy has a great track record in playing some of the worst games this year in Korea) which iirc traumatised me.

I think he had the right idea. Snipe the warp prism and then handle the small army in his base. But he stupidly ran STRAIGHT in to zealots and then barely got the warp prism. And by then, he had like what, five marines left? -__-;;
what was this sniping about he just lost everything because he targeted down the warp prism, wouldnt it be smarter to just kill the gateway units with so many marines :o

I'm pretty sure hack couldn't have handled that any worse, sniping it is fine but letting the zealots get all that free damage was just urgh.

That was officially the single worst match I've ever seen hack play cool builds by tails though he seems well prepared for these team leagues shame he can't translate it to individual leagues.

additional warp ins are faster than him pumping out units from his barracks so he needed that warp prism dead :/

50% PvZ for finale in Korea 60% for HyuN in ZvP in Korea 50% PvZ for finale internationally 71% ZvP for HyuN internationally
12 win streak in FC, a 75% WLR in ZvP FC versus rather poor PvZ. How can you find finale favored?
HyuN has way more games. Stats don't tell the real story. You think finale 4-4 in korea actually means anything? Watch his play he has the potential to beat HyuN.

Watch HyuN's play in ZvP rather than finale's. Funny you mention stats, Life is favored in ZvZ, but guess what, HyuN wins. Stats do not tell the whole story, but they set the momentum heavily, and HyuN is far superior in the MU recently.

Can't remember nick of the elephant who beat him in Code A (was it Roro?), but he looked solid. Endgame engagements with roach/hydra/infestors went bad, but his opponent looked REALLY good as well.

Nah, he has always done that. Sometimes I get the feeling that he has other stuff on his mind and is not really listening.

This. He's very clever and always has good builds whenever I watch him in the GSL but his execution and macro just aren't up to par. Seems he has a lot of potential given that.
Nice work by sniper, but It's going to be tough for MVP to get back outta this one, first a wonwonwon and then life...and as Kevin just said, ZvZ is snipers worst matchup.
On November 01 2012 09:12 convention wrote: Why is ST playing MVP instead of EG? Should it be 1 from group A vs. 2 from group B?
not like it matters seems like they can destroy everyone right now anyway.
IM free ticket to the finals playing EG without stephano
So it (hopefully) doesn't matter for ST, but it seems like it hurts EG the most. They would otherwise play a "weaker" team (IM beat ST, so in the context of this tournament they are weaker). Seems like the reward for getting first was having to play a harder opponent in the first round. Unless there is a reasoning to this, seems like next season teams might throw games to get second place if they have playoffs secured by their last game. Or if it is random, then they wouldn't send in anyone if there is no advantage for first place.

That's also a visibility thing, DRG seems to be going the NesTea route in that he doesn't really play team leagues at all anymore, unless it's a really dire situation.
this is retarded why didnt he put any structured he had 6 drones and 230 minerals comeon ._.' he had this game I can't believe it but i still feel bad for him

No he didn't failure to account for something like that in a base race does not make you the more deserving winner. He could have put something up but he didn't it was just silly as hell.

How does it depress you that even in a mirror matchup you can come from behind with a well planned exploitation of your enemy's weakness? The one who "deserves" to win will win in a mirror matchup.
guys, seriously, games like this make me love sc2 again! that was so exciting, and it's amazing that Life was able to pull back from such a disadvantageous position. Those two burrowed lings by the fourth...that has got to be the most serendipitous unit placement in history!
On November 01 2012 10:47 isaachukfan wrote: Ahh i missed the ending!!! Did Sniper run out of structures?
Life unburrowed 3 lings which for some reason was next to sniper's final building, life kills the building sniper is eliminated.
Aww shucks, thats a really bad way to lose, especially thinking that Sniper should have won that if it came to a straight up battle. He must be kicking himself over this.

Too bad JYP will all kill IM. A man can dream can't he?
never gonna happen ;o
If I had to pick one team to say IM would never ever lose to in a bo9 it would be EG without Stephano, as far as I'm concerned we should just skip to the finals.

Coach reverts to his old ways, sends out dreamertt, horror and ready vs JYP then happy who proceeds to fail proxy 11/11 vs double nexus then finally MVP comes out who loses to the JYPvT revolution. Boom EG in the finals then all killed by the soul train.

Would be better if Stephano got 4 kills, before EG gets reverse run over by the immortal soul train.

I am hoping for this as much as I was praying for JYP to back up his group selection comments last season! JYPvT hwaiting.
Also Fusilero.... yes, this is the only future I want to live in.
I'm looking forward to them posting the VOD for Game 9. Life has been winning lately, but in MLG, GSL and even against Sniper in the IPTL he does so through epic comebacks. It is amazing and gut wrenching to watch.
