OMG he didn't keep his APM up at some random second - He lost on purpose.

I only caught the ending of the game. If this is true, it's pretty overwhelming evidence that he threw the game.
There is a difference between throwing a game and playing casually.
a very slight difference tbh, 60 apm? And here I was thinking that grack might be back, poor grack .

I might have been watching a different stream, since I saw high apm for both midgame. Or are all of you just "forgetting" this?
And should you not know better Fionn? How could your post about APM do anything but fuel the speculations?

Ugh... this is just frustrating. I am not saying Stephano threw the games, but it frustrates me to see people who say that they KNOW he did, and also people acting like it isn't a possibility whatsoever.
Stephano HAS TRIED TO THROW GAMES IN THE PAST!!! Why can't everyone just accept the fact that he may have, and also accept the fact that they don't know if he actually did it. It would be so much more sensible..........
Actually, the sensible thing to do is to assume both players played their best.
Then Stephano sure has gotten a lot worse lately
His ZvZ was never as good as his ZvP or ZvT.
I've never seen him play ZvZ this poorly, in game 2 he just threw away infestor energy and units on nothing, several times he split his army in two, attacking with only half of his units
I have. I've also seen him play terribly in his other matchups. Players make mistakes, it happens to the best of them. Before today I've never seen Rain played PvP completely mediocre, but it happens.
To suggest Stephano is throwing games is absurd.
Hardly absurd, Stephano has a lot to gain from throwing the game, not only will he not have to face Rain who is a beast in PvZ his teammate also gets through to the next round. He will have to play Hero again but wouldn't he rather play Hero then BBK rather than Rain?

You obviously haven't watched the games from Stephano's POV. His APM was low all game...
They showed APM multiple times Idra was low 200 and Stephano near 300 every other time this conspiracy stuff is crazy.

This right here.
If it was a situation where he had already advanced, and it was just seeding on the line (aka korean badminton players @ olympics) then maybe I could understand bringing out the conspiracy theories. But to suggest it with the current situation is ludicrous.

Well, that's what I am assuming... but I am also being reasonable by acknowledging the fact that it is a possibility that they did not in the interests of winning $100k. That's all. It just bothers me that everyone seems so ignorant of that being a very real possibility.
Uhh, that's not being reasonable at all.
It's not reasonable to acknowledge that a player may lose a game in the interests of having an easier path to the finals (when they can look ahead in the bracket)? Please explain why.
Because you're assuming the worst out of players without any substantial evidence whatsoever.
and you are assuming all players are angels? It's absurd to think that the thought of throwing the game did not cross Stephano's mind and did not affect his gameplay at all. Players play to win. $100k on the line. You do what you have to do to give yourself the biggest chance to win it all. I am not saying it's wrong. I think it's a smart move for Stephano. Most of us would do the same when in his position.
Nope. Not assuming they're angels, but assuming they're decent human beings? Sure thing. You also forgetting that Stephano's ZvP is out-of-this-world. Idra's ZvP is absolutely horrid. By your logic, Idra has more reason to throw this series than Stephano would in any case. And what you think is not necessarily what Stephano thinks. And you can't ever speak for the majority of people.
