no alive in the fnatic lineup?
|
not even aLive, Oz in a never ending slump....
oh well fnatic`s roster seems to be the weakest since their first one.
Acer Zergs will crush, shouldnt even be close.

This could get really ugly for Fnatic

maybe they are praying to the rain gods, that somehow somewhere J sitting there home and realizing he can actually play like a GSL champion.

There's a mistake there.
That said I'm really excited for this, been watching Startale vs EG and FXO vs Prime all day.
One small thing, do you mean to have vods available for IPTL? I had to dig through a 22hour video to find Startale EG on twitch. FXO Prime was easier.

Nah not today only inori was a worthy victory for J.

Nah not today only inori was a worthy victory for J. Hey, hey, in EG MCSL he once beat Titan by fungaling his army when he a-moved up a ramp into spines. Lost to LiveZerg in the ace match though. :D
|
|
you mean since they lost in GSTL and Hwanni`s departure, aLive was certainly a beast when he joined and won IPL, but how can you stay motivated when nobody actually gives a fuck and the foreigners are just mediocre prac. partner...
Oz really disappointed since he left FXO though, a few glimpse of his possible skill e.g vs stephano arent enough these days...
|
It's a shame how bad Fnatic has become. Team house in Korea and it's gone to waste.
|
Hoping for a good showing by the new recruit and a finishing blow by Nerchio

Oz is still good, even if he is inconsistent, and i have confidence aLive will come back. You don't just lose that amount of skill. Have faith =)

After the underwhelming Flas vs Rain series, Im hoping for some good games here.

Is this it, is J going to win?

J is using Jinro's account? That's so random.

Having 10 mutas and 60 supply worth of enemy roaches in your main: Slightly less than ideal, according to Scarlett.

Scarlett should win this.

so it is possible that i see mma playing in the lets say next hour? :o <3

J's first win in ages I think.

He said that he would play as third or fourth player. If necessary, right now his game seems to be laggy.

J TOO GOOD
Next on the hit list is Scarlett!
|
I remember when HerO and J were both high potential oGs b-teamers, J must be so jealous of HerO.
Also why is this free 720p but not 720p+? I never understood the difference.
|
Judging by the quality its not actualy 720p its 480, could explain why.

3 base attack with... gateway units and a couple immortals? Wtf was that?

How unfair. I wanted to see MMA play. But with scarlett winning here out, no fair.

I'm glad Oz died there, fraer vs Scarlett earlier today was one Scarlett ZvP on Entombed too many already.

foreign terrans are pretty bad

Naama has always been terrible, hence the way he plays.

Love seeing Scarlett AK, though Alive might have a decent chance to reverse the all kill, Alive vs MMA could be a fun match.

Why are foreign terrans (myself included) so bad....

Foreign Terran just lack that special something that allows them to be up there with the best. Koreans just seem to have Terran figured out a lot better than foreigners, and I remember LucifroN saying something along the lines of "I just realized how wrong I had been playing Terran" after seeing Mvp play in IEM.

To put it simply: they lack the micro and macro Korean Terrans have
In depth: they lack the micro, macro, decision making and strategies Korean Terrans have.

Sigh. Sometimes I wish I was born a Korean instead of Japanese. But then, I realize how awesome it is to be Japanese so that kind of goes away.
I mean seriously. I have a friend who's Korean and never played starcraft, but just by looking me playing would just say really insightful things.

Average "size" of a South Korean is 3.8". Don't know if it's really worth it lol.

Lol, talking about Harstem's "side of the map" it's about a quarter the size of Scarlett's side of the map.

This is almost fun to watch.

goddamnit just go kill each other already

You know what I really like about Heart of the Swarm? Motherships will be terrible so there will be no reason to make them and have the cloak-lag bring the game to 5 fps.
|
Absolutely beautiful and elegant play by Scarlett. After this game she's proven to me she's the real deal. Best foreigner for sure, can't wait to see more of her games.
|
Now, how does one "win" in that position?

|
Heart of the Swam, please come quickly.

Dance around for 15 minutes, finally the big battle happens, Scarlett loses 10 supply.

My favourite part of that last game was when a fight happened. That was pretty neat.
edit: ^ ye no 5th player for Fnatic apparently

At least zvt is entertaining again. PvZ however looks unfixable until HoTS. The ret vs white ra show match was actually really exciting to watch.

WCS Canada, WCS NA, beats Euro players all the time, beat Stephano in a tournament yesterday as well as MKP and SKT1Brown, beaten plenty of other koreans too. She's at least top two foreigners out there.
|
teams should get punished for going into a tournament match without the full lineup of players.
that makes ipl look dump. makes the whole entertainment feel dump.
|
Here is the problem as I see it. Zerg in WOL has no tier 2 units that can go head to head with Protoss while Protoss has no tier 3 units that can go head to head with Zerg. So if the Protoss player is going to play passive it would be stupid for the Zerg to attack as they get stronger the later the game goes. And as a result you get games like we just saw.
|
Between the player-list, the forfeit of game 5 and the result, Fnatic seem to be in really bad shape at the moment. Hopefully they can turn things around.

Bingo. Though on the other hand, Mutas have had their day in the sun as have Roaches, but I think you're right in that Protoss definitely struggle in WoL against Tier 3 zerg (shocking I know!)

Nightend or aLive could not play?
|
it's kinda ironic zerg is the one dominates the sky against protoss and terrans.
corruptors are just too good anti air and you can instantly remax them

What just happened there anyway? I had it muted during the break time and I look over and the match is over. I thought at least Nightend would be available to play... Oh well, grats to Scarlett on the All Kill.

Does that officially count as an all-kill for Scarlett? Just wondering. I would count it but I'm biased.

In this game, everyone can beat everyone in a series(beating Stephano now in ZvZ doesn't mean shit, beatng MKP now in ZvT doesn't either)... Yeah, and i was asking whether she won a relevant tourney with a very good line-up.

Then that is back to back all-kills for Scarlett in IPTL. I wonder if that has happened before?

It is an allkill. She beat every player fnatic fielded..

Yongwha did in GSTL. He AKed Fnatic in this last GSTL season in round one, and then Slayers in round two.

Quick, hack into blizzard while defending the attacking point with some immortals and sentries! Then erase infestors from the game so Zerg's who can't roach-ling will try to fall back to their ultimate fail safe when they lose thier army to bad micro, and see it removed! That'll teach them!

Some of the things said are in poor taste, and we all know how many times pros have gotten in trouble for things they say in chat. Just not a good thing imo.
And I don't agree with having teams obs games. I'm not saying it happens, but it gives the opportunity to cheat, and allows people to be suspicious.

Was hoping to see some of acer's newer pickups, but I'll never mind an allkill from scarlett ^^.
Congrats to scarlett for her nice performance, too bad we couldn't see the last game.

there goes the hatred.
if I was fnatic and had plenty of money, i would just get rid of everybody except aLive and Oz, and buy a couple of Code S / A players from teams which contracts would end till January. making higher offers than teams like TSL, MVP or even the other big purely SC2 teams shouldnt be that hard, however getting players from KeSPa teams should be way harder.
But as it is I dont believe in a successful future for fnatic.sc2, its a shame cause those poor results drag their name in the dirt, as they are winning a lot in their other games and Iam starting to follow more LoL now T_T

It's good that they are willing to gamble on players like Harstem, and I feel the foreign scene in general would be doing better if more big teams did that.
That being said, Fnatic urgently needs new players.
