Sad that a player like Stephano gets a free welfare seed into Code S, while Flash makes it through the Code A qualifiers, goes 3-2 in his Up and Down group, beating the guy that was 5-0, destroying every macro game he played, and doesn't advance.
Horrible format.
Wtf what has Flash done in sc2 to deserve a seed to code S? Stephano has deserved this by winning multiple championships for over a year just like MC,DRG deserved there free code S spot when they got knocked out of GSL but then they won a lot of tournaments after and got a deserved seed. How many sc2 tournaments has flash won remind me?
You properly very disappointed that flash again didn't make it to code s but take it out on Stephano or the format is just delusional
Recall, flash in sc;bw. When they realized you cant win a macro game against him 2010. Kespa teams set sniper Aftet sniper using various cheese and unorthodox timings to put him down. They succeeded until flash went for a builld set for a macro game, but making it impossible to cheese at the same Time, thus the 1.5 years of pure domination
God is a cockroach.
I am loving the elephant fanboy tears.
One of the games he lost was to Jaedong ( a gargantuan elephant), and the other he just got punished by a risky MC build (shocker).
Don't forget he destroyed Taeja and Hero earlier-- 2 of the best players in the world.
He'll make it through this Bo1 crap eventually, and the entire scene will change when he gets into Code S.
Were´nt his wins against Taeja and HerO "bo1 crap" either? Or is there any difference between bo1 Proleague and bo1 Up&Down? And if I read the LR correctly, Flash had a risky (=greedy) build as well. And if you play greedy and get caught out, you lose. Shocker indeed.
Wow Jaedong like uggg if he hadn't made such a huge fuck up vs mc he would be in code S after his advantage. At least he gets one last shot at code S. :D

MC's build wasn't even risky- he expanded after making zealot stalker and then followed it up with some more stalkers after seeing Flash built no bunker- very standard stuff.
I agree that this is a horrrible format. It is stupidly random that players advance just because of direct comparison, I hate that in every group format.

I was not there during this game, i just read the comments. However, judging MC´s build was not my point in that comment, I just wrote "as well", because I was not to sure and did´nt want to get murdered by Flash-fans.
It sounds to me like MC probably used his standard FE build: see here. Which, as you'll see if you read the guide, isn't risky. It's safe to a fault. (Apologies if I'm wrong, because I can't get to the VOD. I don't subscribe to GOM T___T)
If MC had discovered a bunker in front of an expansion, he would have pulled back with the poke and continued his build. He saw a vulnerability, though, so he attacked it.
If Flash wasn't ready for a poke timing in a build that MC does often enough for it to carry his name in a guide on TL, that's on him. Either he misread MC's build and thought he wouldn't need a bunker as early as he did, or he physically couldn't have gotten a bunker in time and his build was faulty. Either way, Flash got outplayed this time.
Since Flash is one of the best players in the world, he's going to study the replay and adjust his strategy next time he tries that. But if Flash was as willing to handwave his losses as some of his fans are, he'd be a B-team pro at best.
How good was Flash vs Jaedong? Did it live up to the hype? Did the whole group live up to the hype? And who the hell expected Yoda out of all those other players to make it to Code S.

Not that good. Game reminded me of a MKP tvz where MKP doesn't scout and banes are morphing outside his base and then they roll in due to no bunkers and supply depots down cause that's exactly how flash lost.

perfectly played? I mean, yeah he won, but against Revival (only one I caught without being tired as fuck) he had moments were i thought Revival would take it. A win isn't the same thing as perfection.

Well that and flash got super super late siege tech. I mean it just started when jaedongs muta/ling/bane timing was about to hit xD
But if you can watch it, watch it cause it's always worth watching jaedong
