Would've taken to long i think. Pulling everything back would have given roaches free reign over the third, and the stuff outside the main would've been late to the fight in the actual main because of the unsiege+walk time yeah but imo its not even that strong keeping everything sieged in spread position like that have 1bunker + 1sieged tank at your third, 1bunker + 1sieged tank at your natural. keep everything else in a gigantic deathball that you can move around with and respond with On January 28 2013 15:54 Windows 7 wrote: Show nested quote + On January 28 2013 15:52 Sky_ wrote: On January 28 2013 15:51 Nezgar wrote: On January 28 2013 15:47 bankobauss wrote: sigh. you beat that by just unsieging your tanks and keeping everything in a giant deathball the tanks literally instantly kill all the roaches faster than they drop out due to the hellions also getting off full splash if your tanks are spread like that you lose Yeah, I was wondering whether Flash knows that siege tanks have a higher dps in non-siege mode, pulling back towards his almost-done thors would've been a way better choice I feel... It was pretty much an all-in from s2 as he didn't drone his third. With pulling back I was talking about unsieging und pulling back to the cliff between main and third so that the thors could chip in some dps from the high ground.

The connection between nat and third isn't small enough to let flash stay sieged in the middle, and if he was unsieged a roach flank would've wrecked him. That attack would've killed him pretty much no matter what-no way 4-6 tanks firing on roaches dropped on other tanks could hold off an attack like that. If he had all his army in one spot he could've but then he would have been forfeiting a base since s2 could just turn around

If he had all his army in one spot he could've but then he would have been forfeiting a base since s2 could just turn around no you dont understand. i mean flash should have used a deathball of UNSIEGED tanks. flash should have followed these steps 1) do not spread your tnaks 2) do not siege your tanks 3) keep your entire army of mech on the map in front of your natural or third in a deathball. when the overlords come and drop on your tanks you literally roast the roaches faster than they drop out also, hellions+tanks will kill a equal cost roach army while unsieged. test it sometime. (the way you do this is when the battle starts you only siege up 3 of the tanks in the back. sieging all the tanks causes you to lose too much dps, but only sieging some tanks still gives you nice amounts of splash)
