This is the Live Report Thread for IPL 6 International #2 Wings of Liberty Regional Qualifier. We will have Jmorrow live-casting the preliminary rounds and the semi-finals and finals for each qualifier cast in studio. The winner of this qualifier will receive hotel and travel accommodation for the event as well as a seed into Round 3. Second place also receives a seed, but no travel accommodations.
International Regional #2 - Wednesday January 30 - 9am Pacific - BRACKET
From the non koreans Snute should have the best chance I think, he is still mainly playing WoL and the time is way better for him than for Stephano. But overall the qualifier is way to stacked to call anything. Hopefully a Terran can advance, only Polt is qualified so far. Here's hoping for TaeJa, it would also be a great confidence boost for his GSL group tomorrow.
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/IGN_ProLeague_Season_6/International_Regional_2 I will update it and I need help with this: 1) Who is KTFlash? 2) Who is IlikePizza? 3) Is CombatEZ Genius? 4) Does KeeN play on MVPDRG battle.net account and DRG on MVTteam and was it the same at International Regional 1? 5) Who is MVPsC? 6) Why we have TOP and oGsTOP who is who? 7) Does LosirA play again on MillTarson account? All this and mb additional information is necessary for updating wiki page thx in advance

Don't know the rest. Another question to add to the list: Who is coLKiller and who is TSLKiller?
Also I voted on "Too Many Players!" and I got a pop-up saying I voted for Snute.

1) Sam Tonetto 2) B4 3) I think so. 4) KeeN is playing on MVPDRG as far as we know but we have to confirm with players right now. 5) Not sure, listed as: 최경민 6) I think this might be a duplicate. Will confirm now. 7) Yes

5) 최경민 is MVP.Shine so I guess Shine is playing on MVPsC account.
how does it work? first round, Kane get a defaut WIN, then next round, he got a defaut loss vs Life. And then, Life got a defaut loss vs Hogu that's so weird

None of them showed up, coin flip.

Maybe something to do with Stephano being in Korea (tired because it is 3:33 AM), and lag from Europe on Snute's side. Both are making some weird micro mistakes, but still, very entertaining and even between the two.

Yeah It was just small things I am seeing not like HUGE errors
Meh, the up and coming Siw put up a good fight. MarineKing is scary in TvP but the Empire Protoss took a game off him. Of course, it could be to do with the time in Korea and/or latency (on both sides possibly though), but I can't see Siw not pulling off some good results soon.
I'm sad that GuMiho declined (or maybe didn't respond in time, idk), but I'm sure he'll qualify through a satellite. viPro playing very impressive, or just Sniper playing very sloppy. Stephano vs Snute should be interesting, arguably the best 2 EU Zergs fighting it out. That's all I have to say; I hope the winner of Lucky/MC takes it, to be honest.
On January 31 2013 03:44 Zackeva wrote: Hmm, why do I spot MvPsC in the bracket? : o
Cuz Shine is using his account to have a MVP tag to represent his new team.
Also, I'm half asleep updating the Liquipedia bracket, if you see some obvious mistakes, ignore them. I'll have them fixed right after I publish them... Like if you saw aLive vs. Center in round 2, that was me, I fixed it in like 30 seconds though.
On January 31 2013 03:59 CosmicSpiral wrote: This looks similar to what Symbol attempted to do in Code S. Maybe that asswhooping he got from Snute at HSC inspired him to adapt the style.
Yeah, the style Symbol used in GSL last week was for sure a result of the series between him and Snute at HSC.
Snute's army positioning is awful on this map. Probably because of the loss of overlords but why would he have his whole army at the watch tower, its for the complete opposite.
What is more sad was the huge advantage Stephano had, then he proceeds to lose his massive lead by throwing away 30 Roaches for a single Hatchery that had little money left.

I think he wanted to go in the main but Snute blocked him, either way it was kind of stupid.
HyuN vs Curious Galaxy vs Seed Ryze vs San MKP vs Lucy Hogu vs Maru Hack vs Squirtle Snute vs True LosirA vs Sound Center vs DRG TheStC vs aLive Dream vs ByuN
Look at those names and games, yet they choose Snute vs True... Center vs DRG, StC vs aLive, HyuN vs Curious and Hack vs Squirtle are incredible games.
On January 31 2013 04:27 Dodgin wrote: what about the satellites? I think there are more spots other than IPTL after this
Yeah, there are satellites to get spots, but they aren't giving free travel for those. Apparently more spots are coming up because only 33 spots are taken by IPTL and the qualifiers/satellites.

How is that even possible, the map would have been mined out long ago, and they likely are doing some insane base-trade rebuilding scenario. Or they aren't ready for a weird reason.

MKP microing his heart out at 20 supply refusing to gg? It's possible! :p

Wow Prime doing way better this time after the skip on the int. quali 1 and the horrible korean qualifier. I'm really concerned for Creator though. Another quick exit to a lesser established player, he is definately not at his best right now... Marineking on the other hand should have some momentum and a bracket that might fit him well, he has some chances there.

Dream, the guy that 2-0'd Rain last season of Code A, is a lesser established player. Alright.

He is if you compare him to Creator or most other people left in the tournament, with the exception of Hack.

He's a TvP specialist... He would have won IEM Katowice if First didn't have like 7 TvPs to watch and analyze Dream's play at the event before the finals...

That's not accurate, First played dream even before the finals during the qualifiers and beat him 2-1. He didn't have info on him then and still came out victorious. So you honestly shouldn't take away from firsts performance.

I am with you on that one
Great having a former Code S champion regaining his status as a heavy hitter
He still needs to win the qualifier, otherwise no one will remember, and even if he wins he needs to perform well at IPL because people don't look to much at qualifiers, even though this is such a hard one.

Well not remember is a bit harsh, especially since he recently qualified for Code A. Though you are right that it's kinda sad that with so many insanely great players in the KR qualifier only like the top3 will get the most attention.

Its unlikely that the winner will get much attention to be honest.

Tournaments are becoming boring nowadays with less Terrans since the 3 best matchups all include Terran. There's way too many mirror matchups and just an absurd amount of ZvZs. Hopefully most of the invitees for the main event are going to be Terran.

He invented the nydus worm build against mech on daybreak that everyone's stealing in GSL right now...

Cross ur fingers for Bomber then! 4th most likely invitee since 4th place + ST possibly getting finalists Plus so highly ranked in Aligulac and SC2charts! still TLPD KR ELO 23rd but INT tip top :D Bomber plz!
