ho i see the map pool, guess that it'll be fun to watch :D
ROOT vs the world, let's see how it goes. Korea got seriously handicapped with Dragon on the team and only Koreans on US teams. Team LucifroN could have a good shot at upsetting here if they're a bit lucky.

The map pool is large, but thank you so much for using community maps! I'll be tuning in for sure to see some games on these, especially with such big names
When is it? And will the English stream be by Nathanias as in RSLs of the past?

While I love the idea, I wonder if the format is the best. The all-kill format will probably prevent some players to get any exposure, which is sad for an exhibition tournament (I think we can call him like that, even though there is money on the line).

Um, shame on me for casting this and not knowing, but what does CIS mean?

Apparently there is a conflict between Empire and sc2tv.ru, don't know why, maybe AlternativeEgo can tell us what's going on exactly.

The only thing I left with was that Dimaga and Empire seems to like each other. New team member gogo?
Would be nice for him (but I'd prefer seeing him on MIllenium :D ), Empire is a great team.
As expected in one of my previous posts, some players won't play because of the all-kill format. Dayshi is carrying Team Europe like a boss !
I don't like these bo7's.. dunno what was wrong with bo9's?!
The thing is, it's hard to gather all 10 players at once with their strict schedule so we made best of 7 just in case somebody can't play the day and time we're interested it so we won't move the schedule every time this happens.
On May 09 2013 23:51 AlternativeEgo wrote: Haha, how did Catz manage to talk his way into this one? Or did the NA players just be like "five participants? hold on, we need a coach here".
I was asked to play in it for team NA, I pointed out the fact that there are better candidates, and asked if I could get a replacement by someone I consider better than myself atm. They said sure! and asked me to be the team captain, to which I gladly agreed to, then I with the rest of the team, decided to get Kane to take my spot as a player on the team

Format would have to change a bit, what with 5 teams and all, but I think that would be a great idea. I for one would love to watch more SEA players compete against the rest of the world.

Goswser overextended his army often and lost more than he should have, TheStC got great Widow Mine shots, dropped to keep Goswser's economy and tech down and exploited the immobility of Ling/Bane/Ultra/Infestor.
I like how TheStC continued Hellbat drops despite the Muta presence and static defense. It kept the pressure on and forced Kane to remain on a low Drone count at times, while he built up a better army.

SEA team and a chinese team would result in some sick global representation and games.

That actually sounds fantastic... You guys should get in touch with Ritmix

Really strange play from qxc I kinda like the drops just because Yugioh is out on the maps, but then you need to have sieged tanks ready in the main base. Worst case scenario qxc has to lift his third while ravaging his opponents economy with drops.
I think NA could actually be favored in this. Normally CIS would tear them apart, but with Kas/Happy/Dimaga not playing, the line-up looks unusually weak, Titan and Lowely have not been as strong in HotS as they were in WoL, sLivko has´nt shown that much in HotS either, White-Ra can have a good or a bad day, which nobody really knows. I think the main qeustion ist, how fast (or if) NA can eliminate Strelok.
Under no circumstances should CIS lose this. America only has a hope in the sense they're fighting against the 'B' team for Europe but even then you've got some massive names there. Qxc, Minigun and Goswser have done sod all lately. Well you could say Goswser has taken a game off Bomber at MLG but that was only when Bomber nuked himself of 100 supply and even then it was pretty close. Scarlett has done really well lately in GSTL so that's the only thing you can back on really. Pretty easy for CIS to prepare a sniper though. Kane has reached the finals of SC US but against pretty lackluster opponents and almost losing from a 3 - 0 lead against another sub-par player.
I´m hoping for CIS to win ofc, but I am just not to sure, that that will happen. It´s just, that every player besides Strelok is not in top shape. A Lowely/Titan in his WCG/WCS-form, sLivko in his usual IEM form or White-Ra on a good day are hugely favored (with all-kill potential) against pretty much anyone at the american roster (- Scarlett maybe), but they aren´t in top shape atm.

Yeah, the lineup is really lacking without players such as Happy and Dimaga.

He could've sniped them but didn't really. :s
Yes true but I just don't understand QXC decision making he just sniped Titan´s 4th and it was basically a won game he should just have pulled back to get more ghost and Vikings.

Dayshi was greedy and got punished hard by Hyun (many lings and blings). Hasu vs Hyun was a triple Stargate-play with Voidrays, which Hyun was able to break with Nydus-Queen-Hydra, although his earlier attacks were quite cost-inefficient. I did´nt saw the ZvZ either, was gone for a few minutes, 3-0, so I can´t comment on that.

isnt it like that for tournies with winner/loser brackets?
EU lost once, and was still in the tourney and got to keep going, whereas KR loses once and KR is out?
can anyone clarify if that is what happened?
you missed the last 2 years of sc2 and double elimination tournaments, where everyone was qqing about the finals. Then tournaments changed the finals into an extended series sort of thing until they dropped it completely. So no advantage anymore if you take the winners route except less games.
Yeah, they could/should have defined the format better I guess. But I really didn't expect 2 set of games somehow (I might be following ritmix too much).
So I saw that KR lost the first match 5-3. I can't find the second match though. Surely they can't crown a champion after claiming it's a double elimination tournament and the Korean team has only lost once? That would be incredibly silly.
