00:00 - Avenge Spawns Top Left, Leenock Spawns Bottom Right
01:00 Leenock goes early gas followed by pool, Avenge opens with a gateway in the main
03:00 Leenock starts a really early speed and pulls off gas
04:00 Leenock expands, avenge with the MC core
05:00 2nd gateway and a sentry from Avenge, still no expo
06:00 Twilight council from Avenge, Leenock starts burrow. Avenge tries to expand but Leenock uses his speedlings to force the cancel
07:00 Dark Shrine!!!!! and the expo looks like it will get up finally. Leenock has the Roach Warren and Lair on the way
08:00 Robo for avenge, DT's warped in near Leenocks bases. Leenock uses burrow to save his units which is really smart, some workers down and loss of mining time but the investment not worth it.
10:00 Immortal production begins from avenge, roach speed begins for Leenock, more gates added, looks like avenge is going for an immortal sentry push
12:00 HERE HE COMES, 3 immortals and a huge sentry count!
13:00 Leenock trying to buy times for SH but avenge has too much! so many FF and the roach ling army just isn't enough
09:00 Gumiho drops the main base of avenge with WM in the natural line. Avenge runs up to the front and the bunker is empty!!!!,
10:00 Avenge runs into the main and gumiho has no units!! SCV's pulled and Gumi is in trouble. 11:00 The WM goes down and Gumi can't do anything vs the superior unit count of avenge. Should see GG at any moment.

Well, it's not the match of the year too
I don't think the problem is the match. We just have so much SC2 going on at the moment with WCS, so obviously other events have to suffer losses from the less hardcore viewers

I think with pro league + WCS on GSTL really doesn't get a lot of attention anymore. I don't think much can fix it apart from maybe changing the format so we know we will see big name players in set match ups in advance.
Hopefully one day we have one Korean league but I doubt that will happen any time soon.
I think also the scheduling of the format (2 games per week, team only plays once per fortnight) is partially to blame, I keep forgetting it's on, or what's happened previously the last time doesn't really stay in my mind.

I don't know where people get the impression SPL is stealing viewers/attention. The threads for the matches that don't involve EG-TL or aren't SKT1 vs. KT get a lot less replies than the average GSTL match, I believe.
EDIT: Okay, I checked and they actually get roughly equal amounts.

The stream numbers for GSTL are consistently far higher than Proleague (excepting EG-TL.) And that's looking at twitch numbers, my guess is the majority of GSTL viewers watch on GOMTV which isn't included in the stream numbers.
I'm just not really hyped for this match. I'm glad there's some Starcraft on to watch for me. I'm not really interested in the results of this match, I just hope we will see some good and entertaining games
I think GSTL would be more popular if it wasn't for Kespa players stealing all the attention at the top of GSL, to some people it might feel like a second rate league these days. Hard to disagree honestly ;/ I still love it though.

I have to agree. Im only reall looking forward to the matches of my favorite team NSH. If I had to wager a guess as to why, I'd say it's because we're seeing less of these players in the GSL--whether due to region switching or to KeSPA invasion--and therefore are having a harder time following the players' progress.

1 big proleague would benefit everyone involved imo. If only.. Ah well, that's probobly not going to happen..

I mean, for example the current Rank 1 team is entirely NA/EU WCS, so GSTL really doesn't seem to have much to do with GSL at all anymore.

Exactly, and then what is connecting all the teams in this league? The winner will be crowned the best team of...what? Best fit is eSF teams, but even that isn't quite right.
I have this weird love/hate thing going with the bm trash talk celebrations. Like, I love that they add so much fun and drama to the game but I hate them because I always want the players being called out to win to shut the celebration up. Ha

I've seen Rain come back in PvT after losing every single gas unit to the first medivac push, so he's my benchmark.

Not eligible, has to be on the roster at start of season.

It might me that a player that was in a roster at the beginning of the season can't play for an other team later on. Which makes a lot of sense. Champions in football has the same rule.

That's true, but I think it only applies to players that actually played in a game. Seed never played any games for IM this season (right?) I think it's kind of a dumb rule but it's not a big deal.

ZvT is a fucking farce right now. When are pro terrans going to learn to scout for an all-in that's getting played in a fucking quarter of games and results in an instant win if you don't react to it. Even fucking Innovation dropped two games to this shit before he wised up and built a tank.
I really don't get why Bomber would play like that on that map. I feel a standard 3CC reaper opening can work well, if you get a siege tank before hellions. Or something with more barracks.
I think Bomber was expecting Leenock to mindgame him by playing super-greedy on the most aggression-friendly map, but Leenock second-grade mindgamed him by going for an early attack anyway

You are giving Bomber way too much credit. That was Bomber being 100% Bomber. He has all the mechanical skills but just doesn't seem to understand the matchup.

If you see the winrate macro game vs all-in, when the zerg is not way better, you quickly understand why they do that. And as leenock played 2 perfectly macro games in his GSL, Bomber thought that maybe he would have done this here too :D

I wasn't being serious, I know that's most likely beyond Bomber. It would've been pretty sick if that was the case though, and it had worked.

Yeah, he scouted that Leenock hadn't even started a 3rd hatchery, but still went for the fast 3rd CC and didn't make marauders/bunkers. That's just weird, especially on a map like Icarus.

I still think it's hilarious Bomber called out Leenock and then proceeded to throw that game so hard. I honestly can't think of a reason why he might have thought taking a fast 3rd on that map in tvz was a smart idea...that was an MKP-worthy throw there.

Yeah bet he is kicking himself for going to LOL Terran got so much better for the innovative players. So much more you can do with mines now that timings and good macro can win u games easily. Yeah but SeleCT was one of those innovative players. Maybe thats me bigging up some of his cheesy builds as innovative, but that just tells me that he would of been even more successful with the added use of mines Guess it's no point considering it until he comes back though =P

Bomber became a bit cocky with after his first win when he challenged Leenock. All in all he was just trying to make the match between the two teams more fun to watch, and he succeeded in that. What a series.
Today's loss was my fault. Everyone on FXO is top 30 on the ladder atm so we got a bit complacent. I had a long talk with Leenock, GuMiho, Hurricane, and sC after our loss. They are going to do their very best for the up and downs. if we lose to AZUBU or Prime, we are out of the GSTL . We are going to do our utmost to prevent this but if we do end up losing, I hope the fans won't give up on us. We'll have Seed for the next season of GSTL so we will be even stronger than now and be full contenders for the championship. But we're not out yet so we will do our best for sure. So in the end, please believe in the team that we'll do our very best and show results. Once again, we are very sorry for our poor performance today.

Today's loss was my fault. Everyone on FXO is top 30 on the ladder atm so we got a bit complacent. I had a long talk with Leenock, GuMiho, Hurricane, and sC after our loss. I hope they're not too hard on themselves. Avenge did all-in every single game lol

short answer, widow mines :p
great games today, avenge is cheesy but that's the kind of play i respect hte most :p
Void Rays and Stalkers have longer range, mines shouldn't even be an issue. They don't stop Immortal all ins, I don't know why they would stop this. Avenge did have an Oracle. He let it die at the end trying to get a couple of extra worker kills, but the Protoss can just keep it with his army and use the detection to snipe all the mines.
