Demuslim would be the first to tell you that you're wrong

Since when did Idra have that mentality :O

Demuslim's 25 hours/day practice (as I have seen him do all these time) is good enough for last place. Winning a couple ladder games against NA players then getting stomped in every tournament is not a good way to continue as a pro.
To Demu's credit, he did make it to ro16 in last season's premier league, and he has qualified twice for premier league, so it's not like he's just doing nothing. You think that's easy? Talk to all the pros who weren't able to do it. Yeah, it's frustrating for him, I'm sure, but if he uses these rough, highly viewed bumps in the road as a learning experience, I'm sure he'll do fine. I do think he's the better player between him and Suppy (even though Suppy beat him at MLG), and I don't see how losing to Suppy today means he should forget about winning anything against Suppy in the future, lol. I don't think that your attitude toward losing would be a good way to continue as a pro, IMO. "Welp, I lost kinda hard today. I guess everything was for nothing and I should quit!" More than a little aggressive, as well. It's funny that we're deliberating over the two players who didn't advance out of their group.

The only thing Suppy took advantage of was Demuslim's greedy builds, this has nothing to do with " honor ". Playing the game one way is no more honorable than another way. The only thing Demuslim can be justifiably angry about is losing, not losing to Suppy, not angry at Suppy for playing to win. This code of " Honor " doesn't exist in the minds of the top players in this game so it has no reason to exist for foreigners who for some reason want to continue to latch onto this idea of cheese is dishonorable and awful. A cheesy build once won a GSL for the greatest player of all time, and the poor Protoss he dishonorably defeated went on to join the same team(and presumably became friends) shortly afterwards. NesTea cheesed Losira out in the final game of their GSL finals, do you think he held a grudge?

OH NOOOOO..........All these times I have not been an honorable person on ladder. And I thought I have honor all these years growing up.

This is gold. I didnt see the games but if DemusliM was greedy he took a chance. Suppy seemed to either anticipate it or scout (as said didnt see games) and took his chance to beat him there. I can imagine DemusliM being upset about his loss but I feel he is the last person to carry it out on his teammate.
DemusliM would have taken the same chance if you give it to him I can guarantee and you know why? His job is to win, not to be a jolly fellow to his teammate. When the game is on he is just another Zerg. I played DemusliM in EPS when we were mates. He didnt lose but he is a very good Person and while he knew we would play in EPS he did still help me out in TvT etc.

TOTAL BS!!! Three EG members all in the same group? seriously? SHENANIGANS!!!! I'm so tired of the powers that be using their influence to stifle my EG brethren. Will we ever get a fair shake? You should mark this as a joke because sometimes mods get a little antsy and don't like suggestions of match fixing :p joke? I never suggested any match fixing, I just don't like to see EG players meetup in group play.

sounds pretty bad. I mean I understand what you are saying but it's pretty easy to interpret that as such.

Having three guys from the same team in a group where only two can advance is so silly and cruel. I wish WCS had a system with a random, but maximized team spread.

Sigh... I wish picking the Koreans good players in Liquibet wouldn't be such a foolproof plan.

If they are spread to one per group, there's a quite big chance that no one of them gets to Ro16

Eventhough Demuslim is quite talented, I think he'll never have what it takes to go far in a tournament. At this point he's just a good streamer and that's it.

Demuslim just did what he does every single tvz and every person on earth knows it: The cc first no scouting build. That build leaves you a bit vulnerable before you have wall off + hellions out which Suppy took advantage of in G2. Suppy probably just tested a build that was supposed to punish that exact timing. Demuslim had just been too lazy too test his own builds for various weakness's, and instead just uses a build that does well the majority of the time on the ladder. In G1 he obv. had not taking into account that thesurface area for cc first was kinda bad on that map.
Both of the losses simply comes down to Suppy outsmarting Demusilm. Demuslim is a fantastic mechanical player, however he is either too lazy or too dumb to figure out how to play a series of games and how to optimize build orders.
Its a bit of a shame that this kind of talent is just wasted, and I think Demuslim would benefit extremely much if EG had en experienced coach helping him to think about strategies.

The one thing I'll agree with idra on is that Demuslim is the greediest player and a huge risk taker and not nearly as good as people.
I've been watching him mindlessly expand at the 3rd base at the 5 min mark in TvZ since the metalopolis days. Also see him go cc first, rax, cc in TvP.... His mechanics aren't the greatest and a lot of his wins come from eco cheese wins. Glad Suppy saw through it and punished him, perhaps it will incite Demuslim to play safer.
