But if CJ Entus gonna lose, they will have 0-3 and it's kinda sad. With SKT T1 and IM ahead especially, it might really be 2-5 or 3-4 and no playoffs in round 1.

Tbh, all of this game basically is on Maru's shoulders. If he can beat herO, sOs will play for sure. And Rogue definitely have edge against Trust.
Out of curiousity, when did you last watch Trust play?
Guess, you caught me off-guard. Never, since the last Proleague. But i barely remember had he won at least once, Rogue has already won against Protoss last week and it will be first Trust's appearance in this SPL.

I think Trust will surprise you. His PvZ is somewhere around 70% and I believe he's on a 14-map win streak in the match-up right now. He also went 1-2 against Life (whose ZvP is really good) in Code A, and although that doesn't say much in itself I don't think he's got any significant nerve issues. Rogue may still win don't get me wrong, but I don't think it's necessarily a clear-cut match.

I know what is Life ZvP :D Guess then it will be amazing game. Thanks for clarifying.
Still doesn't change a lot tbh, if Maru wins, then all pressure in on sOs again. Hope he's gonna find his stride finally.
No CJ terrans : Seems like Bbyong , Skyhigh and Bunny are doing quite poorly and after seeing Effort's performance against Shine i guess it makes sence that he isn't fielded twice this week as well . I hope coach Park knows what he is doing , i am not gonna question his autority , but quite frankly i am really dissapointed in the performance of CJ so far . There are as good as team as any ... well maybe not SKT , but i hope they can take the win here .

Dude, 26 games at least ahead :D Something like 200~ points might be really enough to achieve top-4 after Round 4.
Basically, there are SKT, 5 teams, MVP and Prime right now.

I traded Bbyong for Dream, MVP is one of the few teams that can't run only Protoss and Zerg.
I don't see Sora losing to Maru to be honest. Yes I may be a little biased but he looks better in PvT than herO does most of the time, although the latter is probably the one who would be sent out for an ace match anyway.
Well, Maru plays TvP very differently from everyone else, so if they plan to beat him with a Protoss, they're gonna have to prepare well. Proleague makes for the perfect place to do that, but I still think Maru is looking exceptional in TvP at the moment, and I would probably favor him against any Protoss.

if it goes to ace match i think it will be Maru vs Sora that would be epic TvP! :D
He does, actually. To both herO (0-2) and Rain (0-2). Fairly recently, too. Playing in an offline setting is vastly different from online, sure, but herO certainly has the potential to beat him and if he does then so, I'd wager, does Sora. But yes, if it goes to an ace it should be great!
Is there no KT-Samsung thread? Or my eyes are just lying to me lol.
And why aren't JinAir landing Pigbaby? He wasn't bad in last CodeS, i guess. Probably will see him later with tricore being unchanged through whole season.

zealosuy pls. like, i am impressed by sora to, but favoring him against the top two TvP player in the world is rather dubious. his showing against roro wasnt very impressive and if he does the mistakes he did against flash, than a player like maru is gonna murder him.

i know that herO recently won against maru 2:0. that doesnt change the fact that Marus TvP is just above the PvT from herO or Sora. and i would rate theri PvT equally high

herO also beat him 2-1 a few weeks before that for a grand total of 4-1. I don't know, Maru definitely has the advantage in name value and his micro (the marauder splits were beyond insane) is second to none, but honestly, comparing his TvP record over the last three months to that of Sora (whose record is the least impressive by level of opponents alone) or herO, his record isn't particularly impressive relative to the other two. Naturally, statistics don't tell the whole story, but personally I wouldn't rate Maru far above either.

They were both online though. Maru has a better win rate in TvP offline but it should still be pretty close. Could see it going either way for Maru vs herO

I have a hard time favouring anyone over Maru. Not to say that he'll win every game but going into 99% of games I'll see Maru as a favourite. And not just because I remember him crushing my dreams of seeing Morrow in code S back in the day and thinking: wow this kid is good.

Hey people. First things first, last night I beat Darklordolli on ladder. I am willing to sell his strats for the LR league for esports dollars.
Secondly, I am having a weird issue with my computer. My Internet started stuttering and just giving up. I remain logged into most messengers, but I am occasionally logged out of a few and then back in. I've tried using only the wireless, and then only the ground line but the issue remains. I've also tried both firefox and chrome. Sometimes when I reboot the computer the internet works fine. The rest of the apartment still has internet. Anyone has any ideas what might be the problem?

Nooo, why else go cloak banshee. Maru clearly knew how herO was going to play with greedy expand build or some greedy non robo based build. You have no reason to go banshee in TvP these days unless you know your opponent.

He scouted a fast third from herO and decided to go for banshees/widow mines on 2 bases instead of taking a third himself. Probably because he studied herO's replays and knows that herO doesn't get robo quickly after 3 bases, which proved correct as herO tried to do a blink timing with many gateways.

Two base one. He somehow knew a 2 base blink aggression (on top of an expand by P) was coming along so instead of the usual 2 medivac after cc first 3 rax to starport, he went banshee with cloak and killed 19 probes while defending the blink counter handily.
Im not sure why its not mentioned but widow mines in TvP?? o_O Maru is doing some radical things from the standard meta like the mech TvP game.
lol all the prime fanboys cheer for GW, banshee bo-wins the game, probes forgotten for an hour, 5 star game!
You missed the part where Maru scouted that herO wouldn't have a robo for a while and went for Banshees in response to what he scouted.
He cannot know from a fast third if herO is going to build a robo or not. First has quick third builds that get a robo. He was probably metagaming herO as from his fact placement in the corner of his base, it seems he was going to build those Banshees anyway.

How much of that was Coach Park and how much of it was SKT being fucking rich?
Great play by Rogue, I love his ZvP. It is always the same, Burrow-movement Roaches with Swarm Hosts, but he is always playing like this, attacking everywhere, have solid Multitasking, and Protoss that aren't top tier just fall apart. Well played!

The play sort of scared me from Rogue though; If Trust had just macroed instead of trying to do attacks that work versus a three base zerg, his counter attacks wouldn't have worked.

Maru won vs herO, who is considered the best player on CJ i guess, and to be quite honest, that first game was just bad play from both players most of the time.

There was no reason to hype them that hard either, i think hero and sora will start to deliver (somewhat), but that are only 2 players.
Before Proleague started, with the recent performances of CJ (Sora, herO, Effort, Bbyong, Hydra) in mind, would you really have placed them below top 2?

It was a reasonable assumption, it could be argued about the #1 placement of the team, but they should have been easily in the top, now they're at the absolute bottom, makes no damn sense. I mean right now they're below Prime and MVP. They can improve a bit still, but damn. All the players who did so well in individual leagues are underperforming.

Hm that is a good question, i thought they will fight for a top 4 placement (with SKT, Jinair; KT and CJ) and i still think they will manage that. But i don't think that either of them has any "godlike" status (not even SKT, i don't think they will have a big lead in the end). But yeah Bbyong, Hydra and Effort aren't really on my "wow" list.

i dno i feel EGTL had more hype value than CJ
Because of the level of their players or because they were a foreign team fusion created by, arguably, the two most popular teams in the world?

both. look at what peoople were saying back then without bias and you'll see that most people thought EGTL players like hero and taeja would be far too much to handle.
Zeaulously hyped Trust for me :D And then Trust pulled up Stats derp mode from 2 days before.
First game was amazing, Hydra is such emperor in creep spread and threw game into nowhere again. And Wolf was cute with those screams about "wtf is this unit". Sadly sOs hadn't won this time at least he hadn't lost, so it's something already <3
And Maru is so Maru. Poor herO.
CJ Entus are out of playoffs in Round 1 seems like, time to comeback in next rounds.

I think that in this format, it's more important to have some superstars than a plethora of good players. SKT virtually can't lose a match, as we know, and KT and JinAir's top players are on paper superior players, imo (Well, this assertion is kind of a gamble on TY's potential godliness :D). A few unlucky matchup-ups and CJ's top dogs get their asses sniped by superior top players on the other side (like TY vs herO, or Maru vs herO) and then it's kinda random in matchups between mid-range players.
I'm not surprised by CJ's position, but I think they'll go back up. It's just a bit of bad luck on their part (or misallocation of matchups and maps, if you don't want to consider that as luck) and not being having as good of a top as the 3 current first teams.
My god, such brilliance by Maru. He completely got Hero's number there.
On a side note, I feel really sad for Wolf who was trying to make jokes about seeing a Mother ship (no core) and a carrier, and Moonglade completely not getting the joke, or at least not taking the bait. I think the duo could benefit from moonglade being less serious and interact better with wolf.
But making a single carrier is such a brilliant idea. I really enjoy this thinking outside the box !
