Im a T I'll give you that they don't know this matchup very well and that they aren't very professonial, but they aren't the wosrt casters ever. At least they have personality. Not knowing the game and not being professional are two key elements of professional casting. I mean, aren't those at least two of the basic qualifications needed? How'd they get this job? But instead of rambling on about this, I will go do something else. Enjoy xD.
They got the job because they're popular. We all know that, I'm just saying they aren't that bad. I'm here for the games more than the caster.

I was hoping that Desrow and Drunkenboi would at least make this group mildly interesting, but it would appear that Scarlett and State favored as they were just completely outclass their opposition.
They are just not comparable with anyone else in the NA region. They are so much better than everyone else. Suppy, Minigun, Hitman, Major, Kane, Hendralisk, Astreae I think you may be a bit generous with some names there. Comparable is a strange qualifier though. I'm not sure exactly how far I can stretch that. Eh I guess. I'm just kind of anal about this, I get a little irritated when someone beats a better player once and then instantly becomes hyped up and automatically better than whatever top player they just beat.
Sc2 is volatile, every top player has some stupid losses to people they would normally beat. I think people read too much into random losses and wins at times.

There's a point where casters are TOO professional, but this in my opinion is the other extreme.

You really don't see that enough, I don't see why keeping Templars in your Prisms sort of ebbs and flows in popularity.
Kind of flows nicely with State's general PvT gameplan those games two, go Zealot/ups heavy, build multiple prisms for harassment and keep prisms alive, and when templar/storm is done pop them in your WPs.

It's a bugbear of mine more to do with 'real' sports and the music/film industry. Projecting the image of professionalism can really make coverage and interviews so damn monotonous sometimes.

Ok question then Stuchiu, What does the bolded even mean?
Scarlett can compete with professional Koreans (she in my opinion is in a tier above State and Minigun). State lives(d) in Korea and is Grandmaster in that region. Minigun has routinely trounced North American competition in offline events.
They are the top tier North American pros. How have the others proven they are on that level?

How long does it usually take for the VODs to get uploaded? I wanna see the Scarlett VODs.

How's this then.
There's a certain amount of professionalism that every caster needs to have, not player bashing for one, staying on topic of the game as much as is reasonably necessary for two, not blatantly balance whining for three.
There's a balance that needs to be kept, either in both casters or in the duo as a whole. There's such thing as too much or too little professionalism.

Suppy was one of three Zergs to have stopped Parting's Soul train in WoL and was 1 game away from stoppng Parting's WCS 2012 run.
Major was GM on Korea and played there for sometime (like State).
Kane won Shoutcraft America over Goswer, State and Minigun.
Hendralisk has beaten Koreans in online tournaments, most recently beating Jjakji and Sage, but also beating others like Polt.
Astrea did get 2nd to Minigun in the Ender's thing.
No one is of course on Scarlett's level, but you said comparable.

WOL Era. Not the same game anymore, ESPECIALLY for Zergs. Suppy has not repeated his level of success in HoTS that he had in WoL.
Major was GM on Korea and played there for sometime (like State).
Yet has had no offline success of note, either in WCS or otherwise.
Kane won Shoutcraft America over Goswer, State and Minigun.
A miracle run, in a tournament most people seem to have already forgotten about, that happened very early in HoTS metagame (May 2013). He has not had any kind of repeat success of note.
Hendralisk has beaten Koreans in online tournaments, most recently beating Jjakji and Sage, but also beating others like Polt.
See above note on Major. In offline events he hasn't had any kind of success of note. Even against NA competition.
Astrea did get 2nd to Minigun in the Ender's thing.
A testament to his status as NA's currently biggest rising star.
I love Astrea, he was on Starcraft Ascension when I first arrived on the team, and has dominated every semiprofessional league I have ever seen him in. He's fantastic. But he is not as established nor as decorated as the top tier pros I already mentioned.
Of the people you've listed he has the most potential to reach that status, but it's too early to say he already has.

It'll be interesting to see how Kane gets on now he's at mYI actually, having the likes of jjakji and Stardust to bounce off, plus ManZenith when he's in Europe stays there too.
@Vindicare yeah 100%, it's just a ridiculous line of reasoning from me re professionalism, you're right man.

What does comparable mean? How far am I allowed to take that? It's a vague word.
As for Suppy, he's had a series of bad breaks in his tournaments, but I don't discount him because of it.
Major got 2nd in the MLG thing and ro8 in IEM Brazil. He lost to herO, but everyone lost to herO.
As for Hendralisk/Astrea. I'm not sure what you mean by offline competitions since America has no offline competitions. Just these large online tournaments that MLG has been doing lately. Technically speaking, if we just went by offline, NA would go:
1) Scarlett 2) Suppy/Minigun/Huk/QXC
Scarlett, Suppy, Minigun and Huk were the only ones to ever get to the offline ortion of WCS. Qxc and Huk were the only two NA players to make it to the final day in the last MLG. And IEM NY doesn't count because all of the NA players there made it through online qualifiers and were then knocked out in the ro16.
You can say Minigun State are a tier above the others, I don't think it's an unfair thing to say. But don't say it's because of offline competition since Minigun was worse than Suppy last year and State hasn't played in any major lans beyond IEM NY where he didn't do anything.
