1:00 I'm going to try to not be super TaeJa-biased in this LR but it will be hard. Gas first for TaeJa.
2:00 Major getting a barracks first. TaeJa's barracks is slightly later. Major starts his refinery when his barracks is nearly finished. Marine first for Major.
3:00 TaeJa gets a fast factory. Both players getting marines. Reactor on Major's barracks but no tech from him yet. TaeJa getting a second refinery. Major scouts correctly on the first try and sees everything
4:00 Major begins production on a second CC in his main. TaeJa constructing a starport. Major getting a factory. Starport landing on a tech lab and getting cloak and banshee.
5:00 Factory for Major moving to the reactor, to begin two widow mines. Starport for Major. Widow mine for TaeJa as well.
Aight fuck it, since every other interesting/good/cool player gets knocked out, I say Taeja and Major get eliminated. Crank wins every game after being down for 20 minutes because storm good unit.

Here is the bitter cynical fan in his natural habitat. A fan who has trusted once too many times in his favorites like Jaedong or Scarlett or the new foreign Terran hope. Now he has become an emotionless wraith who can only feel hatred and pettiness.

I feel like Taeja still didn't make a proper transition from playing bio to mech. He was doing a 2 base push and was behind in supply, it is like he messed up his macro.. Also that unsiege tank attack works only if you are ForGG :D

I'm actually more pumped for this than any other group. I expected JD to get eliminated and I get to watch lots of TvT. The only sore spot was Scarlett but whatevs. If Major beats Taeja if I shall be mighty pleased.

Taeja is Idraish sometimes.
He started being Idraish around Asus ROG. He was not like that before...
I think Rotterdam is truly the caster that curses people. He called Taeja, Polt, Jaedong, and HerO the four favorites for WCS AM. So far 2 have been knocked out. If the other two end up gone he will almost surpass Artosis.

Please, i remember a game in Dreamhack where he opened CC first and lost like 10 SCVs to oracles but it was still 18 SCVs and 2 CCs vs 24 probes and a starting nexus. He still GGed out right away.

TaeJa seems like he just doesn't give a shit anymore so far this year. not playing well at all and just GG's out so quickly after making little mistakes in games. Not saying he would've won that game but it seems like it's becoming something he does so far in 2014. Really kind of turns you off as a fan, honestly.

I guess you are thinking about that game vs. sOs on star station. He was on the other side of the map with his marines so that game actually was gg.

JUST FACE IT ROTTI YOU'RE A VILLAIN NOW. KEEP NOT CHEERING FOR ALIVE SO HE CAN WIN PLS.
Wow, just wow. What an upset. Hopefully CranK can beat aLive now. No disrespect to MajOr he is a quality player but he CranK has got to be the favourite against MajOr whereas TaeJa is a class above. Just the small matter of beating aLive though, who, of course, is no slouch.

Taeja is Idraish sometimes.
He started being Idraish around Asus ROG. He was not like that before...
Please, i remember a game in Dreamhack where he opened CC first and lost like 10 SCVs to oracles but it was still 18 SCVs and 2 CCs vs 24 probes and a starting nexus. He still GGed out right away.
I guess you are thinking about that game vs. sOs on star station. He was on the other side of the map with his marines so that game actually was gg.
At ASUS ROG TaeJa left 2 games vs. Dear because a Stalker and a MSC arrived at his ramp.

I doubt you can say player who won 5 tournaments in 2013 is overrated. He is in bad shape though but that doesn't wash away his previous success and amazing play.
I kinda hope aLive wins here, but I love CranK.. so torn! Wish I could watch this series before class, but it starts in 30 minutes might have to sneak it on my phone during lecture
As happy as I am for Juan, it saddens me a little to see Taeja this way. When Nani basically played like he didn't even care and got knocked out, it felt a bit like justice. When it happens to Taeja I feel a little empty. He really does not like playing T atm.

Well technically it is WCS America, not NA. So Major very much counts in my eyes.
Everything north of Panama channel is NA so Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua, San Salvador, Honduras and Costa Rica are NA. Probably more if you start counting stuff on the Islands.
Everytime a caster says "beautiful timewarp" I die a little inside, didnt matter though, he should've hidden his runby better and not lose his entire army for 2 Stalkers.

They are surprised he gg-ed out? charge and storm finished, ahead on upgrades, 20 probes ahead, getting a third base.. all Major had were a couple of widow mines..
Some people I think see fights and reasonable engagements from a player but don't think about the dire economic straits they are in behind it. You don't need to just trade evenly, you need to CRUSH your opponent with that kind of worker deficit, particularly when you are muling your way out of minerals so fast in your main and natural.
TvP these days feels like PvP to me with one guy playing with a hendicap. Completely random, coin flippy. You guess wrong you die. Basically everything is viable and there is always a possibility of transition for protoss.
Early game TvP is such a mess in Hots, I am not sure how will Blizzard even fix it.
Balance aside, these games are so bad it is like watching Maximusblack laddering, not a premiere level tournament.

Exactly because unless you crush them they will simply out-produce you. The early damage done by CranK with the Orcales and DTs won him that game. He had a huge worker lead. It didn't matter that MajOr traded fairly well, CranK had a superior eonomy.

What would be wrong with at least trying for an extra few minutes there? There is always a chance of a mistake. We all saw how Crank basically donated his army to Major at Crank's 3rd. Mistakes happen

Only terrans resilient enough to even have a chance of a comeback like that are probably Polt and Mvp. That was a lost game for Major and not a premature gg.
That's not the first time Major beat Taeja in the first series of a group, is it? I wanted to say it's the third time, but it's probably "just" the second time.

What the hell happened?
TaeJa GG'd early against basic pressure and messed up micro and decision making in general, aLive was too eager to attack, Crank cheesed and won a short macro game on alterzim with storms
Another thing to consider about all the Axiom players placing 1st in their groups is that it means that their groups for the Ro16 are going to be more favourable. It would be awesome if all three could make it to the quarter finals.

All Axiom final pls
maybe. depends if they can get an Axiom protoss matched up against Bomber before the finals or Arthur gets him again. Kind of funny to see Bomber's worst matchup be TvP these last few months after being one of the most dominant TvP players for a long time

I liked them because they were unique. If it had just been the behind the mineral line pylon block cannons then meh but it was kind of cool to see someone do something else even if it was kind of whacky. I particularly like the Alterzim one even though he lost. I just thought it was really clever

He could of. It's so sad to see he's been slumping ever since then and we don't see him anymore. He looked fantastic in that Starbow tournament though.
It infuriates me that Taeja could be so wasteful with an opportunity so many players would have loved to have. he was gifted his spot in Premier, and even though I am a fan of his I don't want to see him get bopped in the ro16. I'd rather have him get booted here and now so he could maybe learn a lesson in humility

But we don't know how his wrists are. He's probably in some pain, and it's a tough choice between forfeiting and playing.

What lesson? The game sucks right now. It's practically patch Toss.

The lesson that his position in WCS America Premier League was a privilege. And running a marine reaper and scv to their death then GGing at the sight of a medivac and some hellions does not a slump make. Also Taeja has complained about balance for his entire career, but that's no excuse not to try.

I hope you're right but I'm pessimistic. There are a huge number of teamless top-tier players now that azubu disbanded. (Them+aLive/Oz+Kangho) and it's taking so long for any of them to be picked up. aLive isn't even at the top of the pecking order in that group. Honestly Revival getting picked up was a surprise

Those guys also have more viewers than Revival (and I have no idea, why), but he found a good new team, I think aLive should be able to secure one for himself as well, as soon as he gets into shape again.
Kangho should change his ID back to Losira and he would get picked up
TaeJa spawns in the bottom left MajOr spawns in the top right
2:00 Gas first from both players, followed by a barracks.
3:00 Factory from both players. Starport from both players. Major squeezing out hellions, TaeJa's not getting any.
4:00 Medivac from Major. TaeJa, again, getting a cloaked banshee.
5:00 TaeJa scouts the lack of a natural from Major. TaeJa pokes up the ramp and scouts a civilization. TaeJa getting an archer. Wait, wrong game. Major going for the main of TaeJa with a drop.

W/e I still like Taeja so him advancing would be good... still would have much rather aLive got through. He needs this shit. He can't go to international tournaments with no team support.

DW Darkhorse! Your favorite player just had a terrible 0-4 result in one of his best opportunities for people to wake up and sign him, but now you get to watch the guy who knocked him out actually play decently!

Yeah for being GSL, it's been the most calm region out of them all so far. Definitely was a different story last year with people like Bomber and Inno and sOs falling, but everything's going right there. WCS AM however, this is an actual free for all. For once, it feels like literally anyone can win.

Soulkey looked pretty shaky in Proleague. Probably only because he's on my FPL but I did liquibet him as well so he may as well forfeit

Even EU has had a few interesting unexpected losers. Like I don't think many people were taking Bling over Happy advancing out of that group. Or Naniwa and ForGG going out so quickly.

Christian religion has all of mankind coming from 2 humans as well, so incest in religion is pretty common.

Man there are so many religion jokes you can make about his statutory rape jokes, and that's the one you pick? Missed opportunities D:
I've thought about this, and the ideal way to avoid rematches is a 32-player double elimination bracket leading into the same 8-player single elimination bracket we have now.
- No rematches before the Ro8. - Everyone in the Ro8 has lost 0 or 1 sets, as opposed to the current format where a player can be in the Ro8 despite having lost 2 sets. - 52 Bo3s are played before the Ro8, as opposed to the current format where 60 Bo3s are played before the Ro8.
The one downside is it would be more difficult to follow.

I doubt, that the silent minority believes those one-liners. The biggest part of the community respects and admires the work you put into the game and the few, who make offensive one-liners aren´t the one, who are influencing the opinion of the community on a long term basis. I mean, if you thnik back a bit, there are dozens and hundreds of guys calling Nerchio/Scarlett/Vortix patchzergs or making dumb "Onebasiwa"-comments. In the end, nothing of that has ever hurt the reputation of a player permanently. Your victories stay forever as facts, oneliners in a LR-thread will be forgotten in a month at latest. So just ignore them and gl in season 2.

Dude, don't pay attention to the trolls, you totally won that first series fair. Great job.
I thought you had a good chance in the rematch, but just a few unlucky engagements can hurt a ton in TvT.
It happens in all forms of competition unluckily. In football for example if a Premier League team loses to a League 2 team in the FA Cup it always talked about in terms of the Premier League team playing bad rather than the League 2 team playing great.

I think a lot of people think that foreigners can't beat Koreans, when the reality is closer to "foreigners don't beat Koreans". I won't speculate as to why, but it seems to me that foreigners in theory can always beat a Korean player, and just usually don't.

I watch Taeja's stream everytime. I really think he should just play Protoss instead (this is not a toss op thing). I remember a long time ago he went 14-0 on KR GM with toss. His game sense and PvZ/T is just incredible, probably better than CJ her0.

It can be tough but that guy is not the community. The community in general is very supportive and happy you did well. That guy is just some lonely guy who lives in his mommys basement who would never have the guts to say anything even close to that to your face. He uses the curtain of the internet to try to puff his chest out and say "look I am tough and I can talk tough" Try not to take him seriously because the community doesnt. We are happy to see you do well which you did
I've thought about this, and the ideal way to avoid rematches is a 32-player double elimination bracket leading into the same 8-player single elimination bracket we have now.
I think big elimination brackets work for shorter tournaments (weekend type). Like you said, it is very hard to follow especially double elimination when the tournament stretches for 2-3 months.

I think Major has weak micro and he hasn't improved in the past 3 years. Goswser has told me that he had by far the worst placement rankings in the CJ Entus house. I don't think he'll ever be a top foreigner, and he won vs Taeja solely from lag.
Does that make me a troll? People are entitled to their opinions and aren't obligated to sugarcoat everything.

It doesn't make you a troll but your opinion is worthless none the less. You don't have any credibility, nor are you speaking from a position of authority. Nobody has a reason to care about what you have to say. You're not a pro-player, you're not an industry insider, you're not an analyst, team owner, manager, tournament organizer, caster, pundit, journalist, reporter or anything else for that matter. So you have to ask yourself, why exactly are you sharing your opinion? What's the purpose of it? It's not going to convince anyone, because again you don't speak from a position of authority and opinions are the most worthless things in the world unless you have some way of making people care, which by the looks of it you don't. Namedropping Goswser? Really? You think he'd be pleased that you're dragging him into this? Doubt it.
So what's the conclusion when a proplayer reads something like this? Well they're gonna conclude, "Hey this guy is a troll, because the only purpose of him posting this way to piss people off". That might not be your intention but all that means is that you're delusional about the importance of your opinion as opposed to being genuinely malicious about it. I guess that's slightly better but frankly unless you have some way of being constructive or at least genuinely interesting, it's probably best just to not post at all. Your opinion serves no purpose and ultimately just leads to people getting annoyed, so understand why it is that people would call you a troll when the end result of your post is the same as it would be were you trolling.

wow, typically i really like what you post, but this one is really weird and unnecessary. His opinion is just as much worth as yours or anyone's else.. I don't agree with what he said and he didn't really present it good, but people are on forums to discuss stuff, quality of players/ their gameplay is no exception. People shouldn't care for "authority" persons, they should care for good arguments, so i don't agree with what you are saying at all. Again, i don't really want to defend his post, it is certainly no quality post, but yours is pretty elitist... And to be honest, major did post an unacceptable insult, so yeah no respect for that.
Pro players aren't supposed to read internet comment and get worked up over it. People say negative things about players all the time and should not have to feel guilty or anxious over it.

Read Commandment 6. They give preferential treatment to players and other community figures (justifiably so). Not much I can elaborate on once you read the thing
It will be moderated, but since we are aware of the conditions of this post, it is in everyone's best interest to moderate it once MajOr has settled down.

I'm a LR regular. Almost everyday I read peoples thoughts about different players and their games. I greatly enjoy it, even if they don't come from a position of authority.
How do you build credibility anyway? I think making good posts is a start!
Not saying I agree with what you commented on, but generally I disagree greatly with this post. I think we should encourage people to post more, no matter if you're e-famous or not!
I dislike to post negative stuff about players, as I agree with that it serves little purpose. But it's more of a personal preference I think.

The funniest is that I imagine a lot of "simple" TL readers are more knowledgeable/better at SC2 than a fair lot of casters, so their opinion can't really be more worthless.

Good job dumpsters, glad you guys never worked hard for anything in your life.
Like kids who want to say dumb shit after a game about a player, think about it for a second, would you ever consider saying what you said to that player's face? That's why Major reacted the way he did. Kids think they can hide behind the internet and spit shit because they think their opinion is worth something (hint: it's really not). Then when someone like TB calls them out on it and points that out, people get upset when in fact TB is very correct.
Edit:
It's not the opinion that matters, it's the fact that people like to think of themselves as more important than they are. The ultimate "I have a voice" except you're using that voice in an utterly detrimental manner.

Lol. I like Total Biscuit. His contributions to SC2 are many. But come on, man...Did you really just call someone out on a forum because their opinion on someone's skill is worthless? You're like, easily in the top 3 of casters who have no idea what they're talking about during an SC2 game. If you and CatsPajamas casted an SC2 game, I don't think a single relevant sentence would be uttered.

According to his reasoning he shouldn't have posted anything, considering he's in Plat (or Gold?) and knows very little about the game.
Point is opinions like that are worthless from the pov of a player, which he understands deeply as a team manager (he's probably seen first hand his players get upset about this stuff)
Everybody has the right to their opinion. Everybody also has the right to disregard somebody else's opinion (sometimes unfortunately). On places like here, we are going to see opinions we agree with, opinions we disagree with, shittily written opinions that are hard to comprehend, some other stuff, and trolls. It is up to the user to decide what opinions to acknowledge or disregard/ignore. Ideally, said user is able to distinguish between trollposts and opinions the user disagrees with. Usually on this forum users do a good job of that, which is why we can get such interesting discussion sometimes.
However, human emotion is a bitch sometimes. When said user is angry, disappointed, frustrated, crushed, he may not be able to distinguish between trollposts, shittily written posts which mean nothing, and posts that disagree with said user. That is how we get shitstorms (like this). It happens, it's a part of human nature.
Yeah, we are all just average users, but that is what 99% of the community is (average in this case is a not-progamer). We are more uninformed than the best players are, but that's the way all communities are to an extent. There isn't a large community out there that is just all specialists at whatever the community is for. For people who are saying that people's opinions aren't worth a damn, okay, but that basically means nobody on TL is worth listening to which makes me wonder why you are bothering being here.
Major, you played well. You got thrown in arguably the toughest group and came damn close to advancing.
Shoutout to my boy MrLightning with his awesome, hilarious example. <3
Edit: My post may seem a little random. This is in response to the discussion started by TB around page 40ish.

Declaring that taeja threw his games to "mess" with major is not only insulting to major, but also to taeja. Sharing your opinion on major's playstyle, decisions and overall performance is acceptable, being an ugly fuckin cunt is not and i m happy major shared his opinion of that douche.
I think it's funny that several dozens of players go through the exact same thing (people fall just a little short, and people post shit about it on TL or reddit), but no one gives it a thought until it happens to Major. You think Major's feelings are hurt? What about the million time people call other players shit, bad, throwing games? As if their 8+ hour days of training everyday doesn't mean anything. I don't have a lot of sympathy for Major in this case, he's just like the rest. And to be clear, I feel bad for players, but Major doesn't merit anything above the rest.

TB literally said that the guy's opinion about Major's level of skill was worthless because he wasn't a pro player, etc. I was just saying that just about any random SC2 player's opinion is just as valid as Total Biscuit's, consider his knowledge of the game
Yeah I too appreciate what TB does for the community but I don't think because you are just a "fan" that your opinions are worthless. I'm a fan of basketball and though I'll never get inside an NBA team/front office that doesn't make me any less knowledgeable about the sport and what I see game in game out.
If TotalBiscuit posts his opinions people will listen because he's a notable person who's contributed to the community, it doesn't necessarily make him right a greater percentage of the time, you can be right and TB can be wrong and no one will care since you're a nobody.
This goes for every esports contributor/pro player/notable figure, it's just how people work, most people judge based on who someone is, not what they're saying.
Congratulations to Taeja for making out of the group! I thot he did very well under the circumstances to turn things around in his favour. Well done, Taeja!
TotalBiscuit is great for the community but he likes to bully random forum users through his name. I don't see his posts calling out a random forum contribution as any more relevant than the random contribution itself. So yes, TB, we get it, we're random nobodies, we didn't choose to earn our lives with gaming, shame on us. Now if you could let us discuss Starcraft and players, nobodies to nobodies, that would be great. TL is a well moderated forum, that should be enough.

I see what you're saying, and I've been banned for hating on Symbol (for one week, no less), but those types of comments should not be needed to hold a discussion. The way they're laid out diminish careers which are in the greatest leagues. It's different from the typical sports banter.
And weak decisions or a weaker player beating a stronger player does not equal throws. People have to understand that every game requires so many decisions and being wrong on one can cost you greatly in every game. Finding those flaws is way cooler than mindlessly flaming the players.
Edit: I guess I am just defending TB's stance because we nobodies shouldn't need to word ourselves in such stupid manner.

I wonder why TB regularly shows his ugly face in these meaningless arguments, the very opposite of what a down to earth guy is. His e-fame must have gotten to him. And then he wonders why people give him a hard time on reddit and here...
just because you are a caster or a pro or a "business insider" does not mean your opinion is any more valuable than anybody elses.

It's more believable, because it's more likely that you actually have experience that backs up your point. For example as a team owner you most likely know how training for such matches works.. So yeah the opinion of a business insider IS more valuable.

When your sole opinion is that plebs have no reason to argue on online forums about topics that apparently only the so-called "experts" are allowed to talk about then you have a very misguided view of the interwebs my friend. Because thats what TB was arguing.
you dont need flashy credentials to make valid arguments.

lol
if i want to hear about scientific theories, who would i prefer to hear them from, the scientist or the village idiot?
similarly if i want to know the latest sc2 metagame and how to play, who would i prefer to learn from, the pro player or some random casual scrub gold leaguer?
anyone can make opinions as they like, the only one that matters most are those with experience and expertise in that field.
Read the thread please, that question was already answered.

Any other person that said this would get banned. Why is MajOr an exception?
Read Commandment 6. They give preferential treatment to players and other community figures (justifiably so). Not much I can elaborate on once you read the thing
It will be moderated, but since we are aware of the conditions of this post, it is in everyone's best interest to moderate it once MajOr has settled down.
You're kidding right? I've been insta-banned a couple of times by the mods for posting "balance whine" when everyone else said the same thing at the same time too. We weren't giving the chance to settle down.

According to his reasoning he shouldn't have posted anything, considering he's in Plat (or Gold?) and knows very little about the game.

Ahh yes, I'm one the only personalities who bothers to regularly interact with the community and somehow that means I am the opposite of "down to earth". I'm sure that made sense in your head in some way.
And yes it does mean your opinion is more valuable. Factually and quantifiably it is more valuable. More people pay attention to it, more people are likely to take it at face value, ergo it's more valuable. Opinions only have any value if people heed them, otherwise you might as well be shouting at the TV.
But hey, this is why most people who know what they are talking about don't interact with the community because they get accused of everything under the sun if they do by people who revel in their own ignorance, which would be fine if they didn't use it to attack people for no good reason.

6. Respect forum veterans.
All other things being equal, we will give preferential treatment to site members who have been with us longer. This doesn't mean they get to do whatever they want, but they do get the benefit of the doubt. The same goes for "known" professional players or personalities. If we know you and you've been around and contributed, you are much less likely to have your posts or account moderated.
In practice, this policy means a user who has thousands of posts can get away with breaking a few minor rules with just a warning while a new user might be banned. Is this unfair? Probably. But that's how it works here, longevity and contribution are rewarded.

I have thousands of posts too. Roughly 800 less than you. Point? I got banned and warned for the simplest things. So sorry, I did read the rules.
The rules being broken would be this imo
2. Follow forum etiquette.
Use common sense and treat others like you would want to be treated. This doesn't mean you can't argue or even flame someone. However, flames are largely discouraged and we expect people to have a good reason to resort to harsh language. Gratuitous swearing, insults, or trolling will get you banned. If you must flame, be smart or creative about it, and make sure the flame was deserved. In general, you'll never go wrong by being nice, polite, and mature.
There is a general etiquette that is followed on the forums that you can only learn through reading and posting, but here are a few important examples:
Jokes at the expense of someone's race, gender, or sexual orientation are not acceptable DO NOT POST IN ALL CAPS. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE SCREAMING Post your topics in the appropriate forum. If you can't find a topic you created, it might have been closed. Don't spoil the results of games, sporting events, movies, books, etc in the title of the thread, and don't spoil in posts unless the thread is clearly a discussion that warrants it. Don't be a drama queen or martyr. Our forums aren't colonial America or Tiananmen Square. "This is going to get me banned, but..." results in an automatic ban. Use the Search Function before making a new thread to make sure there isn't already a topic. Memes, even TL-generated ones, are annoying. There are plenty of places to go if you want to see pictures of people failing or a caption attached to a cat. Our forums are not one of those places.

There is not a single component of Rule 2 that I broke. You seem to be mistaking being blunt for being offensive. I realise that some people hold the view that their opinion is a sacred thing but I don't share that view and in my experience opinions are only as valuable as the number of people you can get to take them seriously. Had you read my original post, you would notice that it is an appeal for common sense via way of a little dose of reality and does not violate any of the forum rules.
I'd point out that you are violating rule 3 by being a backseat moderator but then that would make me a backseat moderator

I'm just saying that you can let mods do their modding thingy and not shit on every forum user's opinion. Which, actually, being a community figure doesn't give you the right to.
And btw, of course I'm against talking crap about players. But that shit will happen in every sport I fear.
I am sure someone said "Soulkey surely threw away the first 3 games vs innovation to give him an advantage, he's such a boss!" but no one took it seriously. Everything got heaten up because major didn't spot an obvious joke and reacted irrationally. And by the way the fact that someone might be a good team manager means nothing in knowledge of actual game mechanics (which you must have a very good grasp of in order to argue, according to what TB said). Good Major, you're easily the best non-kr terran and without using a cheesy style. Just don't read obvious jokes as personal attacks (no one could possibly have thought that Taeja lost on purpose, am I not right?).

While he is an extremly good foreign terran, saying he is easily the best is just wrong IMHO, Dayshi defeated San in WCS just last week and Happy defeated Jjakji in a bo5, while forgetting Stim+Combat shield and Bunny knocked out Naniwa. They should get their fair share of respect as well.

When did I shit on every forum users opinion? I think I was rather specific as to which forum users opinion I shit on and that's because it was awful to begin with. His post was dreadful, as was the post Major replied to. It deserved all the scorn it got.
For what it's worth TB, I'd like to say you make excellent points. Don't get dragged into this too much, your point stands already and sometimes people just don't want to accept it :p

That's why it's best not to read TL or Reddit. It's filled with bronze league balance whiners. You're one of the best, if not THE best, foreign Terrans in the world. Good job, keep the Terran race alive! MajOr fighting!!!
The original post was simply banter and bravado from a Taeja fan. If I had to guess, he never even expected Major to read it. I'm not saying what he said was anywhere near justified but for so many people to immediately jump his case for a post similar to hundreds of others sucks for him. Sorry Major for the tough loss :/ you'll be back stronger next season.
TB did not violate any rules of forum decorum. Major's outburst was a little over the line, but considering the circumstances I think we can cut Juan some slack here. Just let it go, it's text on the internet, I'm sure we can all cope with Major being understandably upset after some snide comments.

Well guess what? People tend to act slightly impulsively when something that is very important to them gets attacked..
I think most people in this thread can't comprehend how it feels for MajOr. I played professionally myself and felt pretty shit after far less important losses. I can only begin to imagine how this is for MajOr right now. Winning vs Taeja and then still getting knocked out by him... after which people start to discredit his plays and achievements? That sucks man. I don't think you realize how much it sucks.

It absolutely excuses Majors actions. You would need to be an unfeeling robot with no empathy of any kind not to excuse Majors actions. He comes off a hard loss, having won the first series, a repeat of what happened to him last year and some shithead decides to post complete bullshit about his win. That guy deserved everything he got and more. Majors actions were NOT unprovoked.
His second post was justified but his first one was just stupid.
Well guess what? People tend to act slightly impulsively when something that is very important to them gets attacked..

I'm not saying it doesn't but it still doesn't justify his first comment.

Now, I didn't follow brood war much at all so maybe Major was really good in that, but through out most of SC2's lifespan Major has been hyped up constantly by many of the casters. Tasteosis has done it a ton. Apollo has done it a ton. Rotti has done it a ton. I hear nothing but great things about how strong of a foreigner Major is. So, people should like him right?
Unfortunately, this isn't the case for me because I don't know jack shit about Major. I don't know if he streams, I don't know if he has twitter. I never see people interviewing him. I never see him blogging or sharing his opinion. I don't even recall if he's ever placed high in any sc2 tournament yet? And no, I don't mean ZOTAC cups or random weekly tournaments, I actually mean High level LAN tournaments.
Hell, I'm an incontrol fan. Let's be honest here, he hasn't done well in a sc2 tournament umm, ever? (Sorry Geoff!) But I still watch him every chance I get. I support him, root for him, cheer for him because of how he makes me want to. He talks with his fans, does interviews, has a great personality and to the best of my knowledge, he hasn't told people in the community to fuck themselves with their middle finger...Same can be said for many of the other fan favorites. Scarlett, Stephano, Grubby & Desrow to name a few. It's why people love cheering for them and when they actually beat a Korean they get phrased for it.
Taeja has accomplished a lot (and hell, we're on team Liquid ffs) so when "Hyped" up Major who hasn't done jack shit for fans, hasn't done jack shit to make me care about him, beats taeja, then loses overall, then shows up and bitches on the forums...You've got to me joking me.
Good riddance. I would say you lost a fan, but to be fair since I've never known anything about you I can't say I was ever a fan to begin with...
Well I'm glad we are still having an argument about this...
I would direct you to Commandment 6 as to why Major didn't get immediately actioned. There is naturally some leeway when you know how hard the loss must have been and that it came from a place of frustration and anger after that loss. However, I would also direct you here to put your mind at ease if you really want him to be actioned, because as lichter said, he will be actioned. They are just letting him cool off a bit first.
Also I don't think TB meant that your opinion doesn't matter if you're just a guy on the forums, but if you shitpost and you are a random guy with no credentials it can't really be taken for anything but random shitposting and will be treated as such. Calling one of the guys who does the most community outreach out of the figures in the scene aloof and not down to earth is kind of laughable.
Anyways we should put this to rest. Mods can handle things as they see fit and if there is an issue with it there is always the website feedback forum. There is even already a thread about why it's bad that there is a commandment about forum veterans getting leeway or something you can check out here.

Take some time to cool off the loss must be hard but you shouldn't come in here and flame a guy like that.
man its just bs. it happens everytime atleast to me i beat someone i shouldnt beat according to them and its always consider a fluke or just they trowing the game. it wouldnt matter if it just was 1game but than comments like this start chains and ppl start believing that its extremly frustrating. whats the point of all time i spend preparing. if i win just so 1 guy goes to a forum types 1 line of nonsense and now most ppl who read that. believe that kind of garbage.
i am upset not about losing, i am upset because the way people in this community act.
Don't let the trolls get to you. You make the foreign scene proud!
Keep on keepin' on!
"Trolls"
So every post by everyone who isn't a pro/caster/coach, ie, 99% of this forum, should just be "dude nice try! glhf next time!" or it's trolling? Makes very little sense to me, but then again I'm not a code S korean so my opinion obviously means nothing right?
His point is that if your post isn't in some way interesting or constructive or you aren't a well known high level player or analyst, then your posting about the way someone played the game is going to be read as a troll post. This means saying "Man, Major got fucked in the ass by Taeja, the first set was Taeja giving it to him, lololol, major sucks" is probably not worth posting if you aren't a code s korean. However "Taeja looked a lot stronger in the second series" says essentially the same thing without being a huge cunt.
lol at the trolls still trying to justify themselves. opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. doesn't mean yours is valid or of equal merit. unless you can back it up, it is indeed worthless. saying taeja threw his matches is disgusting and disrespectful to major and taeja. TB has a unique perspective as an owner of a team and as someone who has done a lot for the community, so he can back up what he says as well. So just accept that as a faceless poster you get called out and pwned and move on with your life.
