This year's Copenhagen Games will feature a nonBYOC tournament played exclusively in the Cooler Master tournament area. The tournament will start at 2 pm. Thursday 17th April
The tournament is open for all and there will be no invites given out. Everyone can sign up and participate by buying a ticket. There are two ticket types for the SCII event, both enters you into the Cooler Master StarCraft II tournament. The NonBYOC ticket means that you are not bringing your own PC and thus will not need a permanent seat The BYOC ticket means that you would like to bring along your own PC and get a permanent seating in the hall. Regardless of which ticket is bought, the tournament games will be played only on the tournament PCs.
as an employee of CM Storm, I will be more than happy to cast this in English.
EDIT: Also it is very important to let cooler master / CM Storm know that they are appreciated, especially in this particular instance. It is important to let the sponsor of ANY event know they are appreciated, but this is certainly no exception.

This means that we will have an increase in prize purse and it will now be a total sum of $10.000.
At the same time, we are pleased to announce that renowned casters Thomas “Khaldor” Kilian and John “JoRoSar” Sargent will spearhead the broadcast. They will orchestrate the stream directly from Copenhagen and will bring the WCS action to spectators on the live stream and on site on the CoolerMaster SC2 stage.
The new prize pool of $10000 is roughly €7200.
It's great that this tournament gets the WCS status, the Tier 3 Global Event requirements are met easily.
HuyN and Patience are going to cause pain to my danish Starcraft heart :s No Babyknight?
Nice with an event like this, wish there was more coverage though. Almost accidently stumbled over this, but at least now I know when to tune in for some of the games!

Ohooo. I still remember (i think) the first SC2 Copenhagen Games when Khaldor casted, all the players who were dropped out got drunk and were invited to the commentator desk etc. That was like full 48hours of commentating from Khaldor alone. It was one of the most memorable moments for me in SC2 even if it wasn't a huge tournament

Just woke up; holy shit, what is up with Serral? 2-0 Patience is quite a result for him. I know he already looked promising vs SuNo (I think) at Assembly (I think), but he seems to have made another skill jump. How where the games?

Why didn't Krass take the other third after Golden attacked this one so often? Can anyone with better game knowledge explain that to me? Good game though.

Hyun got lucky there, had a 66% chance to hit another korean and got SpaceMarine instead. Golden might be in trouble here, if he plays against Happy like he played against KrasS.

I'm calling HyuN vs elfi in the finals. Btw, Serral looks strong! I remember him getting stomped by Jaedong several times on LAN, but it seems he's improving a lot lately.

something where the risk isn't there in the very first part of the game so if he gets hurt by the risk it hopefully isn't so bad as it was last game and probably going to be this game too

Well, the last time he already took a map of Jaedong. Btw, do some finish guys have information on his age? Is he still 15? And if yes, will he turn 16 between now and Sunday? (Asking because of WCS qualifiers)

If he takes risks later, their impact will be smaller as well. Maybe I underestimate him or overestimate Hyun, but I think that something big needs to happen to make the upset possible.

That's nice to know, I think someone said earlier on stream, that he is 15 right now, but I guess that information is outdated.

well considering what happened in game 2 i still think he should take his risk just a wee little bit later.

I think it's a combination of both. Serral counterattacks to great effect, and Bunny's composition lacks aoe.

He dropped a map to Jona yesterday, wouldn't bank on his ZvZ looking as good as his ZvT.
Sure, but he also 2-0ed Snute, who defeated Hyun at SSC.

It was Zhugeliang, the other finnish zerg, who beat Snute though. Serral hasn't looked super convincing in the single zvz he's played so far in this tournament, but it's a match-up full of surprises!

He didn't play Snute this tournament.
Nvm, I'm dumb, thats why you play Round Robin, the groups are easier to read this way .

I wouldn't call Kas an online warrior, sure he has had a few bad offline performances, but he also defeated MKP offline in asia, held his ground in Kiew etc. Although that happened a while ago, there is a reason, that Kas is 20k Dollar ahead of every foreign terran besides T-ZaIN and Luci.
Really nice tournament! Khaldor + Jorosar is a great combo. Serral is also making this a really exciting tournament for me. Game 2 vs Bunny was insane. We might also see 2 Finnish players in the semifinals for the first time :p.

Agree with you, Khaldor + jorosar is a really cood casting pair!

it actually does, u keep alternating between phoenix and ur macro so u dont miss any probes running across map. of course u can also stare at ur minimap
This looks like an excellent build up for the top 4, no player from the semi-finals has lost a series yet, Happy and Serral each have only one map-loss, Hyun 2 and Elfi 3. Also perfect balance and a guaranteed non-mirror MU in the finals.

Just a few random facts: Whenever an Empire player was present at Copenhagen Games, an Empire player made the finals. Also every Empire player, that ever entered Copenhagen Games made top 4.
HyuN will come out with brute force and take the first three games. All hope is gone. Then Happy showcases the best terran play that has ever been seen and reverses the sweep. Clocks will stop. Infants will be breakdancing and KeSPA agents will fax to home quarters with the message to free up money for the signing of the new light. This is my design.

100% right!
Yeah, so far, so good... it's a bit of a risky plan from Happy's side though.

Travel costs are likely playing a role in this. I'd guess, that someone travellling from korea has to get at least top 4 to break even and 66% of the koreans here didn't make it that far(Ofc. it's different for them since they live in Duisburg). If you include, that making top 4 becomes harder with every korean entering, it is an understandable decision.
rouches are kind of FOTM these days in TvZ.. I wanted to see some nice macro bio vs muta ling bane Oh well, impressive multitasking by HyuN anyway. These never ending runby were incredible. I was surprised that happy lost vs the roach bane bust with 3 banshees and such good control though..

That GSL is hardly worthy of a tournament... GOM has fallen hard.
Prize pool yeah. Skill wise it's still insanse
there are clear guidelines for what gives you certain amount of points, tournaments and players are aware of these when they organize and participate, so there's not much to complain about ;p

The more tournaments that meet the requirements and can offer 300 WCS points to the winner, the better for the whole scene I think.

Unfortunately they most likely will not release a replay pack. I asked about the replays from the head admin after the tournament and they did not plan on gathering the replays from the machines.
By the way, here is a pic of the SC2 area(SC2 stage in the back on the left): + Show Spoiler +
