So there's like no way for me to view this live... I don't suppose VoDs are going to be available for this, for once? Cause that would be lovely of GOM.
This is Group A; therefore, those with an A in their name will do best. Fantasy has 2 A's so he should get first.DongRaeGu will do the worst out of those with an A because his name can be written in a way that doesn't have an A: DRG. A is composed of three non-perpendicular lines. K is the most similar, therefore Hack has an edge over PartinG.

He did really well in WCS america Season 2 2013. I think he lost 3-2 to JD in the ro8. Hack is a player that knows a lot of builds and has some great series planning much like MVP. Now that Bomber's gone Hack is ST's best Terran player. I think this marathon format might actually be in his favour because of how many curveballs Hack can throw at an opponent.
Also expect to see things like 11-11 when he matches against Fantasy. And possibly 2-port Banshee or a hellion marauder all-in against DRG. He's TvP is pretty conventional although he is a player that will regularly go for a 12-14 rax (with the 14 rax hidden) which he has had success with, even against Squirtle.
Feels like last year PL when I woke up at 10 after a long working week and grabbed a decent brunch and watch quality games through the afternoon. Starcraft at weekend is awesome
Oh and The Crucible kicks off today too. So many entertainment
THIS IS SUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EASTER SC2 GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!! HYPUUUUUUUUUUUUU
on a more serious note,,,I say jolly good show Sir, rest assured old chap that I will be court side wearing a fedora smoking a cigar and congratulating the ball girls...
PS Parting got this sewn like a French seamstress working out of a New Orleans tailor joint selling Persian rugs under the table!!~~~

what a letdown.
We'd be here for 10 hours
It's not ideal, but its still pretty good!
these are bo3 right? 10 bo3 games is like the same as 2 code A groups, which is what they've been doing for 2 seasons now. I mean I suppose I should be thankful they're actually broadcasting the code A games this time around, but still, you'd think they'd do the same for a tournament like this.

oh well
Yeah true, but thats with a bit of a break in between, and the first group is usually a lot quieter than the second.
More starcraft is never a bad thing, but I'm not too surprised its being done this way.
Its just a shame they couldnt have Wolf & Brendan on a second stream, like that time they had duel casts and you could see the other team down on the Korean Caster booth in the background hahaha.
Wait I'm confused. The Korean stream seems to be ahead? Are Tastosis casting from replays or something? Korean stream is 14 mins in on Squirtle vs Hack on Merry Go Round LE.

I love Artosis. He used to be my 3rd favorite caster for a long time... But now he is number 1 by a mile. But Jesus! I hate his fake laugh. It's really bad.
Bad/good news for tomorrow's group: RorO appears to have pulled out (due to I think illness? Google Translate of the relevant sentence is pretty crap) so all the games will be broadcast.

I've been out of the pro-loop for a while now, but this Global Tourney line up looks sick as hell. I'll be rooting for DongRaeGu for being the most baller Zerg ever, and Squirtle for reppin' the greatest starter pokémon.

I can definitely sympathies with you. Streaming video adds have a nasty tendency to be completely unbearable. Not only do you get repeats, they screw over audio settings completely. I swear I would have damaged ear-drums if I used a headset instead of my sound system.

I really hope you don't actually believe that. It's pretty obvious to everyone else, that what we heard when I posted it, was fake.
Hope you're better at detecting real/fake orgasms. Otherwise this stopped being funny, and became very very sad.

Zerg loves watching Protoss suffer. I was the biggest fan of 11/11 and 1-1-1 back in the day.

Isn't this true for most all-ins? The aggressor is trying to overwhelm with a big army while sacrificing eco/tech.
Sentry immortal is like this as well. If you hit the right FFs, you just overwhelm and if you miss FF or get huge surround and sentries fall, the roaches will just overwhelm.

Oh, definitely. I'm not talking about this game in particular. Just expressing my distaste for the tactic. It's got 'Protoss' written all over it.
Except for the part where the Terran rolls over if it doesn't win the game.

1-1-1 against a good opponent often took legit multitasking and skill to pull off. It could be a joy to watch.

more like RorO himself chooses DH over GT. If had he opted for the Korean league, this opportunity woulda been passed down to other player in the ranking

We saw 50 slowling attacks, unkillable spine crawlers, a soul train, a nydus, Polt style nexus snipes, and Parting pulling the probes. Everything you could want in a game

haha nah, I do as well - it was just tongue in cheek
But yeh, when you kill something like that pylon/blink - its a big visual indicator to the opponent that they took huge damage.
It amazes me how popular some of these bright color mods are becoming. When SC2 was first shown, everyone wanted it duller and more realistic, because they didn't want WC3 in space. Now it's starting to look a lot like that.
The only color changing I do fully endorse is Banelings, all green Banelings in ZvZ are just retarded.
If Hack > Fantasy and Parting > Hack it's over right? Cause then only DRG could also go 4-1 and PartinG would have the tiebreaker? actually I guess tiebreaker might be better map score but I think Parting should be in a better position for that too
I feel like Hack made it way more close than it should of been. If he had built some more SCVs or even got 2-2 upgrades i would of been a lot less nervous that whole match.
Also Fantasy could of totally forced a draw since Hack had no vikings. Fantasy just didn't seem to handle that base race situation well at all.
As it stands I think Squirtle and Fantasy are out. It can be a 3 way tie between DRG/Hack/Parting if Hack beats Parting and Squirtle/Fantasy lose the rest of their matches.
This next series is so crucial: - If Hack wins, he's 3-1 and Parting is 2-1. Parting can then go 3-1 to tie for first with Hack or 2-2 and Hack advances. - If Parting wins, he's 3-0 and Hack is 2-2. Parting can advance with 4-0 or tie for first with DRG if DRG managed to win his next two series to go 3-1. - Both Fantasy and Squirtle can only go 2-2 at best which means they're pretty much out unless the tiebreaker(assuming Hack, Parting or DRG tie for first) involves all the players playing and not the ones who tied but doubt that.
If Hack beats Parting and DRG loses to Squirtle or Fanta Hack will advance. If Parting beats Hack he will advance. If Hack beats Parting and DRG wins out The tiebreaker goes DRG > Hack > Parting > DRG so idk
This is provided they do tiebreakers based off of head to head
I was on a good streak of tournaments going the way I wanted for a while with Sniper > Hyun, RorO > Symbol, Soulkey > Inno and Maru > Rain but then soO had to go and lose back to back GSLs

mine was DRG winning MLG over Alicia so dont feel bad.
Coach SwagGod dragging MVP from 7th to 2nd didnt make you happy?
it did but they still got 2nd. They also got 2nd in the past 2 GSTLs they were in lol. They're becoming KongVP but at least theyre not last place like Prime?

oh yeah i did want Sniper to beat Hyun as well. I forgot about that. Basically since HotS has been out, I've been sad.
But lookat what Coach SwagGod had to do with what he had to work with compared to super hyped Coach Park.
Coach Park gets 2 time IEM Champion, multiple Code S players, Bbyongjwa, Gumiho and bans themf rom playing Code A Quals.
Coach SwagGod gets DRG and an entire Code B Roster but lets them play in whatever they want and makes them unify as one to go from nearly last to 2nd. SwagGod is like 2x Coach Park.

But then Ryu Won is a God.
MVP has 2 players in Code S though and I think they had 5 in Code A this season. Would've been more if Dream and Keen werent playing the worst SC2 of their lives. But yes it is crazy that they finished 2nd.

yea nothing beats taking a casual player to 2x world champion

Is it being played? I guess they are waiting for this match. If Parting wins no more matches are necessary
unless head to head is being taken over map score, then Hack can lose 1-2 and Squirtle can 2-0 parting and if DRG goes 4-0 then he has a better map score and both are 3-1, but maybe head to head is the first tie break.

It was a lot closer than it should have been, Parting was 2 bases ahead for a while and still took his time with poor engagements.
Yeah, but half of those engagements didn't even look serious by PartinG. They were mostly 1a'ing zealots across the map to be kited to oblivion, which obviously stretched the multitasking and micro/macro of Hack.
Hopefully Hack won't fall so far behind this game.
I really wish they would've done this tournament different tbh. I wish they would've taken all 16 and made one bracket instead of having these guys who qualified online get shafted.
Here's the 12-14 rax I mentioned. So excited to see how it will do against parting.
Edit: It got scouted so too risky to move out. For everyone taking notes at home the follow up is the exact same as 1 rax FE Overall your medivac push is delayed by about 40 seconds.

Aren't they using Game Heart?
Yea its game heart. They used this for GSTL too. The only time they cant use it is for the WCS shit
Why not?
Blizzard don't allow it because it hasn't passed their official QA. They can't have an official tournament using 3rd party possibly bad software. That's the official line anyway.

DRG beat Squirtle already im not sure if 2-0 or 2-1 but he won.

I believe if Squirtle 2-0's Parting adn DRG 2-0's Squirtle and Fanta, then DRG advances...so basically parting advances.
I'm just wondering which they rate higher, win-loss relation or map score. Cuz if it's win-loss relation, then DRG has already lost to PartinG. If it's map score then DRG MATHEMATICALLY still has a chance I guess lol.

I'm sure map score has more importance than head to head or they wouldn't play these games.
I guess there is a very good chance that DRG beats Fantasy but I doubt Squirtle, especially with what he's shown today, can come close to beating Parting.

I think that means DRG 2-1'd Squirtle Aligulac shows DRG still had a shot with a 2-0
edit: With 2-0, DRG could've gone 7-3 vs PartinG 7-4 if he lost to Squirtle. With 2-1, DRG can only go 7-4 vs PartinG 7-4 at worst, but PartinG advances from head-to-head
