£25 to enter every online cup for one season, or even more so you can get extra points... Seems pretty crap for anyone other than the few Top UK players who are going to dominate every tournament anyways ^^

The online cups are free dude. Says right there in the post, "Free To Enter".
Unless it's just the first one. I'm definitely not paying to play an online tournament.
The first one of each season is free, afterwards it's £5 per cup.
The first of our online cups is happening this Sunday, and is free to enter. There's no residency requirement, so get yourselves signed up now. To find out more, follow the link: https://www.mindsportsacademy.com/esports/starcraft-ii.aspx

i never understand this complete reluctance to pay to enter events. do you never do any other sports, hobbies etc that require you to pay to compete?
so you're thinking of the online qualifier in isolation to the whole event. i guess that venue, equipment on site, other live costs (insurance say?), prize pool, casters, admins, support staff, internet hosting, they should all be paid for either by sponsors or the organisers' own pockets? or the money for them grows on trees? give me a break. it's your own choice if you don't want to play, but entry fees for tournament are in no way unreasonable. if anything, it should be the standard if people want a sustainable scene
