Preface: Note to Mod's - please reclass into "General" if you think it is appropriate b/c I cannot. But I also think it merits community review and discussion. Thanks.
Ok, guys, we've all been there: What is the worst game you thought you won but lost OR vice versa (you thought you lost and came back to win!). I am offering $100 for replays submitted on this thread for the next week to demonstrate YOUR ultimate comeback or demise... loss or win!
I will review all replays, but there are a few rules and grading scale:
#1) Date submissions must be between 7/1/2014 starting 7:00pm PST and 7/8/2014 12:00am PST
#2) Winner will be announced no later than 7/10/2014 9:00pm PST
#3) Winner will be paid via Paypal on the same day the winner is announced in this thread (7/10/2014)
#4) All leagues are available to submit; however, the higher skill level will be given more recognition points
#5) Creativity is a plus: Such as nuking; enemy worker neural; proxy or hidden buildings etc
#6) Manner mule/nexus/hatch/dance: Prematurely dancing, manner mules, nexus, hatch, worker pull that somehow result in you or the opponent losing will give more points.
#7) Reasonable use of BM is fine; however, excessive profanity or racial slurs will be omitted. This rule only applies to you and not your opponent.
#8) Remember, there are many great games out there, but I am looking for the worst THROWN game!
GL HF!
FYI Here is a good example of a recent WCS Game:
Note SECOND GAME:
http://wcs.battle.net/sc2/en/matches/heart-vs-xigua
Heart was down to 7 workers versus XiGua on 3-base; however, I think XiGua had the ultimate thrown game when he decided to keep throwing (no pun intended) banelings at his opponent to close the game out. There is no dispute that Heart showed one of the best micro's I've ever seen, but I think XiGua stayed on Lair tech too long thinking he could trade and win the game.
EDIT: THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR CONTRIBUTING. Currently, there have only been three submissions in the past week, which is not enough to declare a winner. I need at least a minimum of 15 submissions to declare a winner. I will extend the contest one more week (ending 7/17). If this quota is not met, I will use the money for a showmatch which will be posted on TL.

To be honest: I don't think it's a good idea to give players time to submit a game where they screwed up. Thrown games are never intentional usually, but now you say "hey I'll give you 100 bucks if you screw up completely"
So players will go ahead and just play complete trash after they got ahead, that does not make any sense at all.
Please correct me if I'm wrong though ^^

Good question. I've been playing SC since 2000 when my college roomate decided to introduce it to me. Damn him! I've easily played over 20k games combined SC2 and BW (and, no, I don't live in a basement...I have a wife and 2 kids). Between looking at APM, tech switch, camera, and fog-of-war reaction, I believe I can discern a fake. I also have more than myself looking at it. Remember, the rules look at APM and EPM for lag. This does not mean any gaps in APM/EPM will discount the replay, but it will play a factor in authenticity.

Yeah sure but still I don't know if it's a good Idea to give out pricemoney for creative losing. Hopefully you'll get some good submissions

It's a show and he's paying for good resources, makes sense

Remember, its losing OR winning depending on the persepective of the player.

To partecipate we just need to post the replay here right??

Here you go: http://drop.sc/361615
I used to be GM, my opponent was high master. There was a lot of chat / "bm" out of my opponent, many throws, and an incredibly humiliating ending for the loser. Probably one of the craziest games I've ever played
My paypal is remarkiwa@gmail.com if I win

should split the prize like a showmatch, 75-25. 75 to the loser, of course.

I ALMOST Had the worst throw of all time the other day. Fuck! It was a PvP where my opponent went double robo triple forge into a third base at like 9:00. I happen to counter him perfectly him by going for a quick gateway + immortal attack, but he had like 3 colossus and a couple sentries by the time I killed his third and natural so I couldn't break into his main. Thinking I couldn't lose, I took a third and teched up. I eventually took a 4th and teched further. I attacked, but he abused the shit out of a cliff and had better position and won the fight, so I went up to 7 base vs. his 4 and remaxed. I attacked again and he fucking wrecked my army because he was on 48 probes for some reason, so he had an almost 30 supply stronger max than me. He killed my main, natural and third, but I clutched it by making voidrays out of stargates I had in my 7th base.....
The guy had like 80 APM and 0 ability to macro properly... I almost fucking quit Starcraft.

Thanks for posting. It was very entertaining; however, I would say that this game was a "draw" gone wrong. Good base trade and the dialogue was A+, but the play was close to many TvT or PvP draws I've seen. GG!

Played way to defensivly against a early game gold base ZvP and lost a few sentries and an Immortal before taking my third. Still came back with the power of defensive protoss and voidrays vs Corrupters.

Don't know any SC2 candidate, but this is surely the worst thrown BW game ever. You can even see that the zerg is trying very hard to lose!
