who is DMC? According to sc2ranks he's only mid/high master on the EU server, which seems a bit underwhelming compared to the other players... Or does he play on a different account?
Edit: also noticed that he beat Kas at DH moscow, and Marinelord to qualify for this tournament. I guess we'll see how his PvZ is tomorrow.

An unknown player who has no Liquipedia entry and no results is playing in a "Foreign Hope" tournament? Do we really have so few actual notable foreign players that we're adding fillers to foreign tournaments now? Surely you could find a better and more popular Protoss player, like Puck, who might actually represent a Foreign Hope?
Well I guess it would make for a decent breakout story if DMC actually won the tournament. (And then he can move on to Koreans...) Otherwise, I expect Bunny, Scarlett, and Snute to end up in the top three spots, and then Nerchio, Bly, and DMC in the bottom three.

It just means that there are always new players on the rise, since he qualified and earned the spot. It's a good thing.
I mean why the fuck would you want to see the same players over and over again. I guess we could keep watching the same 20 players forever, but I'm glad for every qualifier spot we have in tournaments. I wish every tournament had way more qualifier spots instead of invites, then we would see way more change in the scene.

Well having an unknown player in a tournament against seasoned pros means that he might eventually be on the rise, but maybe I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning ^^ I think the title is a bit sensationalist, but I guess that's to get viewers' attention. If it's to actually establish "the foreign hope", then I think my disagreement is pretty justified.

A subset of Foreign Hope, lol.
Anyways, best of luck to all participants ^^ Hoping that Scarlett wins this one.
Bunny's on fire lately. His showings haven't been as good as they could have been since he's been losing to the players that ended up winning the tournaments/making it really far.

Well, the point of that argument was that the title was sensationalist, but yeah that tournament name is pretty silly too

Well at least it's funny . Will still be awkward should Scarlett win^^.
unless blizzard comes out and officially endorses these tournaments and their titles (obviously never going to happen) i think its completely pointless to gripe about the "accuracy" of the titles compared to the function of the brackets, lol. theyre just events, its like the corny way you would promote a boxing match or something, and it's fun
Too bad this is missing players like Huk, State, Major.. great idea for a tournament and very excited for it. It'd be even better if it had a few more of the top foreigners
This tournament seems good. DMC gained his spot with good matches in qualifers. He didn't stole anything. We miss some good players, like Happy, Vortix or Welmu. But overall we can see Snute, Bunny and Scarlett, probably the 3 best foreign. Let's see.

I missed game one, but in game two DMC rushed out a few zealots to attack Bly's third, but Bly had roaches and spines already there. The zealots got killed and DMC upgraded blink and then left the game.

Losing?
Gee, really?
Yes, he had less bank, less army, and less mining, that means he was losing. You see, Starcraft is a game where you need lots of resources to make good units, and if you don't have resources, you cannot make good units.
In this game, Scar had lots of resources so she could make lots of good units, whereas Snute had less resources, and so had less good units.

That was a weird game by scarlett. I think she might be saving builds for her wcs match. Not to take anything away from bunny, ofc. I think he'll beat her regardless if she's hiding builds or not.

maybe, but i feel like zvt is probably the matchup with the least value in banking strategies... its pretty much roach allins (with or without lings/banes), fast spire and normal play. and i guess proxy hatches are a thing now too :D

textbook roach/hydra zvt means a lot too since even top zergs rarely pull it off so well. last time i saw a pro zerg make it to 3/3, infestors and vipers was drg vs polt and he lost.
Scarlett all the way!!! As a huge fan that is a no brainer, but looking at it without bias, Scarletts ZvZ should carry her to the top of this tournament.

Yes, but she doesn't look that strong vs Bunny. Heart certainly isn't gonna be an easier opponent.

I feel like Scarlett isn't throwing her best at Bunny, but yes I agree, I have never rooted for Scarlett to get second in a group so hard. I can't think of a harder opponent for any zerg in WCS NA than Heart. He's a TvZ beast. But gotta keep the faith!

didnt see g1 but people said she did a failed gas first speedling attack and just died g2 she beat bunny with macro roach/hydra/infestor/viper on overgrowth g3 she went fast spire into mass speed baneling and did good damage to the third but ended up roughly even while behind in upgrades and won through attrition with counterattacks and good engagements

Surf TL with your nose when playing piano.
No internet connection

You should have gone to redbull atlanta and found me. Oh well
Alternatively, you could find me in the VODs
Yeah, I really want to check 10 hours of a VoD.
I'm not hard to find… there's a very specific point that I'm very obviously in the VOD. And I'm in it like 5 times although you'll only be able to recognize me once

I used to have a long, luxurious lion's mane, and then I had to shave it off when it got in my eyes in practice all the time. Now it's like medium length and I look like a less cool version of Sonic.

Oh, dear god.
Well play that funky music more often, your actions so often motivate her. I can literally imagine a pianist frantically playing that piano in a crescendo, as the banelings are marching in

O.o I usually play slow, dramatic music, not fast music.
The throw. I was hoping DMC would be able to take a series. I feel like Bly and Nerchio were his best shot. Well just Scarlett, Snute and Bunny... ezpz?
Why call it a throw? DMC sacrificed his entire army to kill those two bases, and Nerchio smartly teched up to hydras instead of trying to defend his third with ragtag groups of ling/roach. Since DMC was all-in, losing all that army supply without killing off the zerg was pretty devastating, and him taking a third all of a sudden wouldn't really have made sense. Sure, he could have played better and won the game, but it's not like he was ever super far ahead and just had a clear derp moment.

because he canceled the robo bay which would have countered the hydras which he already knew about

Should get some coaching from TLO, he's just so damn creative
