HOW DO I PLAY?!
At the start of every week I will open the sign ups for that weeks tournament.
If you want to participate simply fill in the form and be checked in at the start of the tournament.
HOW DO I CHECK IN?!
This is the easiest part of the whole process, simply be logged into your StarCraft 2 client at the time of check in. Once I see that you are online I will check to see if you are ready then give you your opponent.
I will give you character code and nick of your opponent, you will then add eachother and play the games. Once one of you have won, make sure that person reports the victory back to me and stand by till your next match is ready. Simple right?
CHARACTER CODE AND NICK?!
This is very important information for me to have. If you sign up with incorrect or no character code and nick you won't get a spot to the tournament.
There are TWO ways to find your character code and nick.
1. Inside the StarCraft II client. By clicking the "Add Friend" button, then the character friend button. There you will be able to see your character code in the left corner of the info box. And your nick is simply your ingame ID of StarCraft II.
2. Log into the Blizzards Battle.Net website. Go to the your StarCraft II profile, click your name and a drop down menu will display your name and code like this -> name#123 where the numbers AND THE NUMBERS ONLY are your three digit character code.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ME WHEN YOU SIGN UP!!!
do NOT get this mixed up with Real ID & BattleTag, that information is next to useless for me and is not optional when signing up.

The Beef Is Cooking!
So we got our selves a little rivalry going here! So MafiatA and Kel faced of again this week, this time in the finals. Sadly for Kel he lost out again in a set of really close games. However congratulations to MafiatA keeping up a consistent play style. I hope we get to see these two again next time.
Is MafiatA the next Zerg bonjwa?!?!?
So not only do we have our first rivalry but also our first reign champion. After just a little bit of bracket luck MafiatA claimed victory again for the second consecutive time in the IcookTacos Weekly. Congrats!
What did we learn?
To convert my time zones correctly. I accidentally wrote the time as Summer time in the thread. However some people must have taken for granted that I was working on CET time and were checked in right. However It wouldn't surprise me if some of the DQ's were because of the time issue. I sincerely apologize for this. I hope this won't happened again. However I managed to remind some people with my email notification which I am happy for.
This week I had trouble filling up the bracket and only got 6 people to sing up. It seems to me as if the sign ups almost completely depends on how well my reddit threads are doing. And I don't feel like I want to spam reddit to much so this might be a issue going forward. I can't afford to up the prize pool either so getting people to sign up will still be hard. I will think about a solution for this but right now I will rely completely on word of mouth and my reddit threads to fill up the applications.
Finally
This was just as fun as last time. I'm not certain weather or not there will be a tournament next week since I have lots of studying to catch up on, but I think I can get it all to work out.
Congrats to MafiatA and thank you to everyone for participating! Hope I get to see you all next time!

1. The games are played on the EU server and the EU server only.
2. All rounds are BO3, including finals.
3. Single elimination.
4. Once the tournament starts, I will message you who your opponent is, you will then add each other and play the games.
5. Once the BO3 is finished, the winner messages me and I confirm their spot to the next round.
6. If both players claim that they were victorious, I will personally review the match history. The losing player who claimed victory will be permanently banned from the Weeklies.
7. The maps will be played in the order of the written map pool.
8. If you are not checked in with within 5 minutes of start, your spot will be forfeited and will result in a walkover.
9. I personally overview each submission to see that the requirements are met. After this is done I will send a confirmation email and secure a spot for you in the tournament!
10.If a player suspects map hacks they may call shenanigans and I will personally review the replays. I will then make a highly subjective, non objective, and possible unfair judgement. If I decide that the player in question are using map hacks they will be permanently banned from all upcoming weeklies, and lose their spot in the tournament.
11. I may issue warnings to players with bad tournament ethics or generally bad behavior. Things such as, but not limited to: Offensive language or abusive text chat. Spamming in lobby chat. Not being ready for the next game within a reasonable time period. If a player receives two warnings they be instantly disqualified (DQ) from the tournament.
12. The times may vary a lot after the initial check in, so be prepared to set away a couple of hours to be able to play. If agreeable with both parties and not interfering with schedule a player may take breaks between games. However if both parties do not agree, and the player in question requires a unreasonable long break before being able to play his match I may chose to DQ that player.

What did we learn?
So we learned much from this week. And that's just what it was meant for, a beta week. So we had eight players total out of those eight only THREE where checked in at start and the rest never showed up. So out of that I learned I have to be very clear with how the "check in" rules works. I will most likely add a "how to play" or "how to participate" section to the thread with the most basic steps on how to play. So I had a player from the lower part of the bracket INSTANTLY seed into the finals since both his RO8 and RO4 match DQ'd.
However this was some of the most fun I've had with SC2 in a while. I just love watching this level of play, mid master - grand master because It's right in the twilight zone of above avarage and non professional, so the quality of the games are good, and I feel threes lots of room for creativity since not every single worker matter. So all in all the games were very fun to watch, I really enjoyed it.
All technical stuff worked smooth as butter, no problems with the sign usp, money transfers or bracket listing at all.
The Tournament
Nothing ultra spectacular here, big congratulation to MafiatA for playing as well as he/she did. I really loved the play style and he seems to be a very solid player. Great game sense in all matches and a good variation of builds. The first ZvZ series was pretty fun from a observers point of view and I sensed some fun mind games going on between the players. Loved it.
Rounding up
I think I will want to stream the next weeks games, however I don't think I can do it myself, I will try, but I'm really interested in going to the community and find someone who wants to volunteer and hold the stream. However I will consider all of this for next week. Anyhow the games were fun, starcraft is fun, this is fun, life is fun. See you next week!
PS:
Oh yeah I might upload the replays if people are interessted in that, but that's not going to happen next time, that's for sure.
