Was so nervous being broadcasted, didn't think I would be since I don't expect to win.
Will check the replays now, felt like I threw game 1 hard with some epic bad engagements. Game 2 I'm not so sure, it gets so random vs 1 base plays like that.
Game 1 was really back and forth and weird but I never really felt either you or Minato had a commanding position. I think for the most part Minato was ahead the majority of the game but your scrappy engagements and mech runbys kept you in it.
As for game2 from what I've seen the "standard" response to 1base burrow roach is
Reactor rax to put in Bunker, tech the fact and build the port. Swap the tech onto the port and go cloak + 1 banshee then Raven. At least when I've seen that as the response it had a favorable opening trade for the Terran.

I seriously wish they'd update the points between games on the ESL bracket... now I'm just sitting here an hour wondering who's winning between Happy and ret

Seriously; This is not how Ret usually behaves.. And Happy should quit talking about mental illnesses..
Well, I don't know what to feel about Happy. He was extremely good at warcraft 3, one of the best undead world wide during quite some time, competing with good koreans and chinese players.
He underperforms very badly in starcraft 2, terrans are dominating everything both in EU and KR, and pretty much all the good terrans already qualified in the qualifiers 1 and 2, only Dayshi and Happy are managing to fail every qualifier so far and keep getting themselves into drama and/or whining.

In fairness he came close in the last one, and then Naniwa decided to make his comeback...
Sometimes I really don't understand the way some players act Oo
A full-time Starcraft player has a lot of weight on their shoulders. If they don't perform well, it really sucks. I guess most pros have that thought in their mind saying "is this really what I'm supposed to be doing with my life?".
To then fail qualifying for tournaments like WCS has to be devastating. All that hard work you put in because you want this dream to come true is almost for nothing, and suddenly you were wrong and this isn't something you should be doing full-time.
Then you read social media and people don't think you're a force to be reckoned with. I think even the nicest guy could turn quite sour after all this pressure.
I'm not saying Ret is in the right here of course, just think this is why we see a lot of this stuff in Starcraft.
Meh if anything I find Happy's comments much more distasteful. Some trash talk is fine especially if it's meant to be private or to secure a psychological advantage. Happy brought it into the public realm and once again resorted to the mental illness copout rather than talk about Ret's play. Plus you don't get to see if there was any sort of bad blood or trash talk prior to that exchange. Not excusing Ret but just keeping it in perspective here.
Bly vs Elazer still at 1-1... Have they started G3 and both went for swarm hosts, or is there just some sort of issue preventing them from starting G3 at all?
WCS is a career maker or breaker for a lot of players today. If you don't qualify there isn't a lot more to aim for money-wise.
I understand that people act out under such stress. It is like going to your office job and you have to turn more papers than your colleague or you're not getting paid for the next 4 months.

Also you do this six times with six different coworkers and for the last four days someone else has turned more papers in than you, it's like every time your hope is being dashed even more and more.

I know for sure that it has been used at least twice in games between pros since I've seen them, but to remember the exact players or the context, to me, it's simply impossible. edit: I stand corrected, since Stuchiu says once.

I think there's some mechanic where you can have scvs repair the PF from the inside if you put them on auto repair and then load them, like you can with medivacs. I dont know if the ever patched that out though.

You're supposed to keep them contained somehow and convince them to wait for a roach max before attacking, and you need to do some early damage. Honestly, it's not a great build. Not to toot the scarlett horn any more than I do, but I can't remember anyone who wasn't her made it work, and she only did it successfully like maybe 50% of the time.

Well its a build that can work, as you said, but i dont like it either. Sure you can fake opponents and force them to be defensive. But i generally dislike builds where you cross your fingers and hope he doesnt call your bluff or where you just hope for a 20 minute no rush game. But thats just me . When Naniwa replyed back with salty comments everyone just favorited it and retweeted. When Happy responded to obvious Ret's BM everyone was like "it's ok, everyone flames sometimes". I just see big hypocrisy over here. Ret was just as BM, if not worse, then Happy yesterday to Naniwa. There is no excuse. Obviously Happy is not popular as Ret in progamers world and everyone's bashing him harder, not fair at all.

You really weren't far of that first game at all
Yeah I think there were two points where I really derped the engagements and traded way to badly. If I win either of those I probably win that game.
I think you've earned the right to complain about SH's a little too. You almost ko'd him but got sandwiched between the base you were attacking and his hosts..
Unfortunately I've had to defloss Bly in the 3rd map. It's been 1.5 hour since the disconnects started and he's been offline for over 30 minutes since the 3rd and now last DC. I set a deadline of 00:45 CET as Fraer is still waiting to play the final game, Welmu will now face him.

That's unfortunate, but even more unfortunate is you ruined our rox page!

Indeed, messioso, you have to give up your impartial status

I am the rox you deserve, but not the one you need right now.

OH YEA!!!!!!
As much as I want to see Naniwa come back to the scene and totally dominate like he once did, I highly doubt he'll get past Ro16. He did do quite well though in the qualifiers, and if he's only been playing again for a couple months (idk how much he's played...) then I definitely think he has great potential to become a top player again.
