Considering the 4 invited spots, I understand that the emphasis will be on grabbing popular names in order to bring in high viewer counts. However, I think that this is also a great opportunity to add a competitive element to the 2v2 ladder. If just the #1 ranked team in the world was invited off ladder status as of the qualifier date, it would still allow for 3 flashy pro teams to be invited, while adding a compelling story line to the mix. There is enough money on the line where I believe this would significantly raise the level of play on the 2v2 ladder, as well as add an element of depth to the players invited. Regardless of your decision, I am hugely supportive of tournaments like this and respect the effort that you all have put in to make it happen.

If that is the case, it seems like it is starting to be a viable option for mid-level 1on1 pros to learn 2on2 and swipe all the prize money. I think there are plenty of 1on1 "pros" that realistically can't expect to win this kind of money in 1on1 tournaments, but that will have a good chance of winning more if they pick a partner and specialise in 2on2. Would certainly be great if a few pairs of mid 1on1 players did they switch, at least part time! There is $$$ to gain!!!

Far as I know he hasn't had any 2v2 partners since before his twitch fiasco and, no, he isn't the best 2v2 player. I'm not sure he plays in any tournaments anymore tbh.

Protech isn't even close compared to imbacoaching in my eyes.

I never said he was bad. I am pretty good friends with imba if u didn't kno... He usually smurfs/doesn't play highest mmr and even still, ladder doesn't make u the best 2v2 player. >.> My main point was that he really doesn't 2v2 with any premades anymore since no1 that is good is really interested in it in general. Obviously, events like this change that though~
