Announcing the Sandisk Extreme Pro Community Bonus Pool:
We are letting the community decide who gets bonus prize-money every day during the SHOUTcraft Invitational 2.
LR threads will feature a poll at the end of each day and $1000 per day will be up for grabs and split amongst the players based on their votes. Did a player get knocked out yet put up a brave fight that you feel deserves a reward? Was there an amazing play that we've never seen before that you think deserves to be highlighted? Your votes will determine where that extra $1000 per day, for a total of $3000, is awarded.

Just to get this out there right out of the gate, a lot of the Proleague guys are not confident to play LOTV right now because they've been focused so much on HotS for Proleague, GSL and Blizzcon. We will have a mix of those that are, the best LOTV players that we know of right now and a surprise or two along the way.
Wish there was qualifiers. At least I hope we will actually watch koreans that play LOTV at the moment and not invites just because they were good in HOTS. If that is not the case then there is no point in watching because there's already a lot of people playing LOTV that know what's going on.
Is this some sort of a console trailer? Where's the fps ?

Really though, this looks great. I can certainly echo the sentiment that a lot of the most popular named, world's "best" pros are not very talented with LOTV at the moment, especially since most have been training for Blizzcon... Even then, it's been disappointing to see some try their hands at the game. I'm really hoping we get to see some of the foreigners that have been kicking ass over the last 6 patches.
Even if many of the pros are not comfortable with LOTV, I am surprised they would say no to the chance to win 10 000 dollars. Still, I am sure the roster is amazing and we will get some fantastic games.
Loved the last one. Chose a Sandisk professional SSD in appreciation a few weeks later. Strangely enough just promised my nephew a GTX-970 and SSD for his PC.
Some good news coming from TB's direction - let's hope for more good news as time rolls on. TB fighting.
Seeing as he didn't get enough points for Blizzcon, I would love to see Dark play in this. But maybe he's still on HotS duty, practicing with the players who are going to Blizzcon.

I actually bought one of their mp3 players, mainly because of shoutcraft. good for a backup when the phone goes low.

So actually this is going to be first big LOTV tournament, and not DH. Nice! Really looking forward to it and hopefully players invited were practicing LOTV. I can see DRG and/or TRUE being invited since they were playing Archon mode LOTV tournament.

Thank god. The level of play in the Dreamhack qualifiers was very disappointing.

You haven't really been following it then, Myungsik and Solar have won tournaments, Journey and Reality are high up on ladder but don't stream.
Cool. I'll probably watch. Never liked Invitationals too much. I rather see group play or double elim qualifiers and have the best players of that weekend face off.
I think a lot of foreigners are gaining confidence against Koreans, myself included, with LotV beta. For two reasons: 1. different game, different timings, etc. 2. Same ladder server.
They all feel beatable when you have a positive win-rate vs TOP, Myungsik, and some other Koreans. When do foreigners normally get the opportunity to play, and beat, korean pros.
I think LotV will shake a lot of things up so it's just a shame an invitational will be the first official LotV tournament when an invitational will be the least effective at acquiring top-level content/play.
I understand production needing to ensure viewership though. Just a shame there isn't at least 1 spot open to a qualifier or ladder, or whatever.

You both have no clue who is good and who is not unfortunately but the list with Solar etc. is more accurate.

I'm not too worried, they still have almost a month to practice for this. By the time this starts, the invited players will know their shit, regardless of their current level. I don't expect any BlizzCon players to play in this, but players like Flash, Stats, soO, Dark, TY, Dear etc. are still top players and can put a lot of time into LotV in the coming weeks.
To be honest, I will probably skip this tournament. I quite like TB´s casting and the VODs are really well made, I don´t understand why doesn´t everybody do the same, but pretty much everything else puts me off. It is Korean only, which mean people who, for the most part, can´t speak much English and who have much different culture and style of behaving, which is hard for me to relate to. Another thing, it is invitational, no qualifiers. I kind of like tournaments, where everybody had a shot, just had to do his best. While I ofc respect and understand the decision for invitational, it doesn´t cater for me. And well, it is LotV, which is really petty grave, I mean, ofc it is LotV, but for me, LotV is even more stressful than HotS and I probably won´t even be picking it up right away.

Luckily there are plenty of other options for people looking for more relatable, rather than top tier gameplay.

Yeah, I think he meant players on proleague teams rather than players currently practicing for proleague. Also players on the big 4 (SKT, CJ, KT, JinAir) might be helping their teammates practice for Blizzcon.

Correct and a bunch of other things besides that people dont necessarily know about.
I'm part of a 4-man brazilian Starcraft 2 Casting team, and we would like to cast the tournament as well, specially because it's so soon after the release of LotV.
We have in our combined portfolio a number of great tournaments such as WCS 2015, WCS Finals 2014, IEM Shenzhen, IEM San Jose, IEM Katowice and Dreamhack Valencia. We have casted a lot of ESL weekly tournaments as well. You wish to do so you can check our channel here: http://www.twitch.tv/rockletztv
In our experience we have done rebroadcasts from time to time, but we'd like to be observers in the game if possible.

Yes! Bring back the Bosstoss! And having his apprentice HuK there too would also be pretty cool, it would become a contest to see who was actually carrying the archon to victory during the Red Bull Battlegrounds.
So awesome that we have another one of these. It's like you're trying to spoil us, but naturally I won't complain.
I'd say you used all my quotes in the intro but I'm sure a lot of people hold the same opinion. #1 was one of the best if not the best online invitational EVER!

either way, I assume many of the best pros (that have been focusing strictly on Hots) wouldn't want to look bad in a game they only try for a few months.
Man I wish this was HotS, might have been the last (beside blizzcon) big and intense tournament. If they keep the formula of the first shoutcraft, with only the best of the best (no foreign "hopes"), and even manage to bring so proleague only players I have great hope we get some epic matches like last shoutcraft.

I am imagining the sound from Family Fortunes when their answer does not appear on the board now.
Allright, a heavy hitter from the start. Let's see how well Zest knows LotV. Good to see KT is taking part again, still hoping for the return of Flash .
Ohhh baby. Nice first player, nice hype video. Hoping for Life to get an invite and for there to be a good mix of the three races. other than that don't really care. I know TB is gonna get really good players regardless
I really hope most of the players invited will be from the current lineup at Blizzcon. Logic: neither of them had time to prepare for LotV and this will make the games wild, with crazy stuff going around. Can't wait for this show!!!
Speculation on the next player? I think we can safely assume a terran. I think Flash was already ruled out. So... Bbyong? He deserves it based on his performance at the last invitational.

Hmmm.... I was convinced "Clanwars" responded and said Maru/Flash declined but I must have made that up in one of my night terrors...
In that case.... INVITE FLASH!!!!! And if he says no just kidnap him and force him to play. I mean that'd be a bummer.

Its an online event and he's shown up for plenty of olimoleagues, I can only imagine that means that they'd have a way to reach him should they choose
Players with the best chance are the best of the best who didn't make blizzcon (although I expect 3-5 blizzcon attendees) who have been doing well on the LotV ladder. obviously TB has some good info on who is playing and winning in legacy a lot. I don't have that info but I'd love to see players like soO, Dear, TY just because they're so good but didn't make it to Blizzcon. Dunno if they're going hard in legacy yet though

Yeah, he said sOs and Maru declined. Flash might happen, but revealing him last would be more hype.
I like how TB is going with a mixture of people and getting the players that have actually figured out what meta there is instead of going for just names. It should be a great tournament

Byun's dominance in lotv so far outweighing his hermit like existence and garnering him an invite. Well deserved and thank you TB for always trying to create the best possible competition

This lineup is really really sick. Even if some of them haven't practiced LOTV that much they are all damn good players. Waiting for the last one, but it doesn't matter who is the last one because with these 7 it can't be bad.

I don't get why everyone would be so eager to see Flash. He'd be an easy beat for any Protoss at least, just warp in Adepts before the inevitable "YOLOPullDaBoyz"

That sounds like inviting based on name recognition and not current skill, which we didn't do in the last tournament and won't do here either. We want top quality LOTV play, not "big names".
This is what TB said on Youtube, by the way, to someone who complained that Flash wasn't invited.

The biggest difference is that Flash wants to win with macro and TY wants to win with micro/multitasking They aren't comparable imo

After watching the first few seconds of that video anyone ofcourse emediately knows who player 8 was going to be, but still... damn!
I'm rooting sooo hard for Stork, the only Dragon left, I also want him to succeed in LotV and maybe take a more active role on the team again (tho he seems to be a great coach considering what he has done with the roster he was given with Samsung!!)

We will not be releasing replays, the players dont like it and there are several big off-season tournaments coming up very soon they're participating in and would prefer not to have their builds so easily studied.
Honestly it's been a long time since we released replays for anything. We see very little benefit, almost nobody downloads them, yet it upsets our invited players so it makes little sense to do so.
