According to Aligulac, Dark has a 0% win rate against Terrans in LotV. Let's see if he knows that Muta/Ling/Bling ain't the hottest shit around no more.

I'm glad the casters work for both gsl and ssl now, it was pretty silly in previous years with proleague, osl/ssl and gsl all having different casting teams.

I guess, but it also gave them a more clear identity

I don't really care about the leagues having a clear identity these days, that's just me though. It's all part of WCS and all the players play in both.

I'm fine with it but why was that silly?
Because most people prefer certain casters over others and for half or more of the content they had to settle for casters they didn't enjoy as much. This was especially true in Proleague 2012/2013.

I don't like having the units tab up at the start and then showing crowd shots and then player shots so you have no way of telling what the openers are

It's unfortunate that strategies like that actually just don't work in LotV anymore with the current state of pylon overcharge. Maybe a nydus would've been better to just avoid the pylon / simcity all-together. But shine got pretty much manhandled anyways, gg's.

dont forget that pylon overcharge also hits buildings, so the nydus can be kiled really easily with the msc and some pylons in the right place (when you see it coming)

Idk, they didnt seem to have too much of an idea of current BW scene or meta from what they talked on stream or during StarBow or during otger casts sooo idk...
Then again I dont know a much better option living right now in Korea lol

They were good when you had to take time to siege and it was all tactical and about positioning. Now it's just typical micro stuff where the micro isn't really all that interesting.

Since liberators are much better tanks, the siege tanks need to fill a new "role" I guess. Kinda learning to accept them, as dumb as they look.
I like that it makes tanks viable in TvZ and even somewhat viable in TvP for defending all-ins and doing all-ins. At the same time droptanks make TvT the most stressful Terran matchup with a lot of frustrating losses

He played on Prime before Prime was totally dead - actually Prime did really good work in promoting/supporting new talents. Look at Zoun, Forte and Departure - they are strong candidates to be elite of tomorrow

Tankivacs are so much stupid fun. As i stated in an earlier post.. Blizz needs to give Tanks an upgrade that lets the Tank go into cloak mode when motionless and not firing its weapon. Mirage Siege Tanks.

Looking stupid is a poor argument against a game mechanic. Infinite SCVs spewing from a CC looks silly. The fact an ultra emerges from a tiny egg looks silly. The fact a colossus fits in a warp prism looks silly.
I just hate how tankivacs play out in all 3 matchups

So do you want tankivacs removed or changed? And how would you buff Terran to compensate for removing them? Siege tank attack?
so as a friend reminded me on skype we still have to discuss one important question about the last series: how many Fortes can you fit into a Bravo? I would go with 2 and a half maybe

no matter how good or bad any Desktop PC RTS game is ... the mainstream consumer will get their big army fighting fix from tablet games like Boom Beach , Clash of Clans and Mobile Strike. its been over for a while now.

Tankivacs aren't silly. Tank drops are thing IRL. Also they are lame in sc2.
This is such bitchy nit-picking, I know, but it bothers me how little preparation is done for casting.
I mean, all you'd have to do is read the Team Liquid write-up and you'd know about Salvation changing his name, or Chicken Maru being the new MVP sponsor. Someone else is literally doing your job for you for fun, and you can't be bothered.
Ugh, I hate being that whiny guy. But come on, it's your job. D:

3/3 upgrades for GuMiho + roach/ravager being supply inefficient.
But it was roach ravager infestor which is the key. Infestor looks down for the ravager to get ultimate shots off. Or u get money fungal and straight up win anyway
That wasn't a counter throw, Gumiho was broke! Even without the money fungal in the middle of the map he had to survive at least 1 and half size more army from Dark due to Dark being able to hit another 20 roaches after his original army died compared to 1 base mining from Gumiho

That was like 800 minerals of marines.
And he had 30 ish scv's
I still don't think those marines were as important. Like, getting his entire army fungaled was way worse
Parasitic bomb is so silly.... Gumiho obviously should have lost that game from that position but for like 60 army supply to die that fast is so stupid @_@;;

Yeah but it wouldn't have come to that point if he just pushed the front and outright killed dark. He had the army and upgrade advantage then.

he's right though. without parabomb mass liberator would probably unbeatable. It would be better to nerf both liberators and para bomb.
there is a real problem with the ravager... any defensive unit can be taken out with the bile (mine tank liberator) and all other units just get overrun by roaches at this stage

One could also argue that 5 marines and nothing else (not even a bunker) might not be the best way to deal with this kind of push.

-The off-air that you don't actually see is full of advertisement for games and music clip ( we had a cool queen vs david bowie )
-literally everyone storms off into the cold hell once its over ( not a lot of people stay )
-some korean guy who suspiciously looked like has was making superman fly moves as the screen was zooming to the game, it was fun.
-people yell random things
-a lot of the cardboard messages aren't actually show on the air
-english casters are way more high up that korean casters
-Yet you can STILL hear TASTELESS YELLING even when the korean cast is blasting of on the speakers
-losing pro are literally fleeing
-i had a piss next to dark
-pro seems quite accessible
-you may actually get bored towards the end and the chair aren't the most confortable ones, i was hoping for the last few sets to be quick lol.
All in all that was fun but maybe less exiting than i originally thought, but that's just code A, Code S and proleague are probably different.
Hope you enjoyed it. Sad you got bored toward the end, the GuMiho vs Dark games were the best today :D. Oh, and we got the Queen/Bowie thing too.
Yeah they were really good games, i don't know if "bored" was the right choice of worlds but after sitting for a long time in a not so confortable chair and with the fatigue kicking in i was a bit not in the mood ( but thanksfully the games were awesome so it kept me interested :D )
Not that anyone care but here are my impression of my first offline GSL :
-Its cold...ITS COLD AS SHIT. Right now in seoul its about -10 c and the studio isn't that well heated so everyone is with their coats while watching the game, while its not too cold and it can be a bit disappointing.
-Nobody knows what GSL is but everybody knows afreecaTV ( i got the wrong building at first and no one was able to undertand me when i talked about starcraft or GSL but when i said afreecaTV they immediately knew )
-You can be yourself, you can yell, you can mumble, you can eat, you can clap alone, you can do anything ! And everyone seems to embrace it, the audience act just like they were home.
-Koreans in the audience have good english, one was able to clearly talk about the game.
-There is a lottery that happens where you get game copies signed by pro but they don't translate or show the numbers so if you don't speak korean you'll get rekt :D ( actually forte redrew his lot 4 times so maybe i had won if i could understand lol )

Queen/Bowie thing? What did I miss?
Basically, as a tribute to David Bowie passing away, GSL played
