I was looking at the Liquipedia of this and wondered why Stephano was playing in the Africa and Middle-East qualifier. In the player list in this thread, the player Stephano has the flag of Tunisia, but in the Liquipedia entry, it's used _the_ Stephano.
I assume Ilyes won't be playing in this qualifier, so someone might want to fix that in Liquipedia.

stephano has dual citizenship, so yes, he may play. Plenty of money, great party spot for the offline finals :D Surely Stephano will qualify :D no idea if they players there stand any chance.

I expected something like 1 spot for that region, but they get 3 =O

Horus came third in the North & West Africa qualifier and he should be the replacement, right? or am I missing something?

Horus came third in the North & West Africa qualifier and he should be the replacement, right? or am I missing something? Unfortunately he didn't respond to our email which was sent to all 3rd place finishers where we asked for travel documents in case of potential issues with qualifier winners and therefore (as I suppose) Horus was not interested in attending LAN in general. That's why we had to make another 3rd place replacement.

What a pity. Horus is one of the most hard core sc2 players in all of Africa.

This tournament will definitely show that Stephano is the undisputed best African/Middle Eastern SC2 player.

It kind of suck that Stephano is playing in this, it should be a windows of opportunity for a region that has been pretty much ignore, not a way for one of the most succesfull player in SC2 to get free money, especially since we would probably not be able to qualify if it wasn't for that and that he live (and played all of his carer in France)
Nothing against Stephano in particular, just a bit disapointed. Well maybe someone will take him out

I mean, at least 2 people not named Stephano will get slots at the main event, so it's not like he's locking everyone else out. Still, this should pretty much be the Stephano invitational, and it'll be quite a story if someone else takes him out. Elgolden fighting!

I know both Static and Drager from a clan I played in 3 years ago. Both are solid but in my opinion only Drager stands a chance between the South African players.
