I just love how you shared to Korean players. Seeing Koreans vs foreigners is the best no matter who wins. I wish good luck to Socke. I'm also missing Lilekanin. He has usually the most interesting, unusual and funny games.

The most important part about HSC always was who is there tbh. It's mainly fun because of personalities, the games were never the deciding factor for me. So yeah who knows what happens in detail, we will see.

I can watch the start of HSC today, then go to class and then watch the end of it. This one stupid class that I can't miss will cost me 3-4 hours of HSC .

Trading a PF for that many units wouldn't have been worth it, there were like 6 liberators on top of the PF.

TY had a really bad day. He lost regular games with awful execution.
And then in some games he looked like he's a way better player than his opponents. So nothing about his play today made sense.
So they were straight-up games and no cheeses?
Yeah they didn't win any games with cheese. E.g. one of the games Namshar won TY was doing a tank push, he had nothing at home, no wall, so like 12 lings killed all his workers in the natural while his tank push just died doing no damage.

I actually have no idea why they haven't done that yet. Because it's the ladder pool and the balance of the next patch it would probably increase the amount of games they'd get from the test map.

Is cross-frost worse than New Gettysburg for terran? I think its better since the base positions on Frost are better for drops. Though its a pretty academic question considering the level difference between uThermal and PBM.

it's much harder to push on Frost
yeah not only because of the huge rush distance but also because the middle is so open that zerg can easily get a huge flank. And in lategame taking a fifth is incredibly hard vs ling ultra.

Are ravagers the correct response to reapers? Most players seem to think so, and it certainly is the best way to stop yourself from dying, but you always end up slightly behind even if you hold well. Some Korean players like Solar or soO have gone for speedlings instead, which increases your chances of losing outright, but if the terran mismicros you can end up very far ahead.

to be fair the zerg can't win if the terran makes a 3 rax reaper
On Apotheosis they absolutely can. On Frozen Temple or Galactic Process the terran is ahead even if zerg defends well. On Apotheosis it's light out if the reapers fail to do significant damage.

(hehehe) We also want to point out that we clearly don’t want to buff Dark Templars at the stage which they first enter the game, so we’re introducing an upgrade that will come into play after a Dark Templar Shrine has been completed for some time.
With that said, we’d like to add an ability with the goal of seeing if player skill using Dark Templars can be emphasized, even after the point when detection becomes more widely available."

Yeah kinda funny considering it's really easy in foreign land to look like a top player if you are zerg (see blizzcon), but being a relevant terran means you actually are a top player no matter what.

Reapers are trash without the grenade, by the time a reaper is out theres already adepts/queens/etc out, so they are pretty useless for such a high cost.

uThermal was a mid tier terran until around spring of this year, when he suddenly became the top foreign Terran. That's when Terran players realized they can spam reapers and get easy wins.
Blizzard tells me reapers were only strong for the last few weeks. How could this be?
They've been completely unchanged since LotV beta. This map pool just amplifies the ability to do damage. It's like the map pool that made the blink all-in era except it's worse because it's not all-in at all, it hits way sooner, and there's even less the defender can do.

Yeah poor zergs they can't do anything against 3 rax reapers. Except actually they can and uThermal ain't gonna win HSC, get over it. And allin or not doesn't mean much since it's harass based, it's about how well you trade, it's not a single attack. It's cute seeing random posters / players complain like after Blizzcon tho.

In all seriousness I totally get what you're saying and think there's some truth to it but Terrans 3rax on any map and say it's because it's a bad map.

They do it on Frost even.
I know, but maps like Frozen and Galactic are so Terran favored in general, it basically makes it so Zerg only has 5 maps it can win on against an equal opponent. Terran can just deny the 4th forever with tanks because of all the cliffs and rocks.

You mean the Blizzcon that Byun won, which was helped because of reapers? Not saying he would have lost without them, but they certainly helped. Show me a game where Zerg defends against 3 rax reaper on Frozen Temple against an evenly matched opponent and comes out ahead and I'll be amazed.

It does happen occasionally when the terran messes up. ByuN vs soO in VSL team league for example. If both players play very well the terran player ends up slightly ahead.

yea its almost like i didnt lose homestory cup last december to the same thing
you just have to not let them get there
lol
But, would it help if reaper grenade did no damage and just pushed units away? Or it would be broken the same way?
worth a try at least
not really, there is no reason for the nade to be in the game at all
Reapers are trash without the grenade, by the time a reaper is out theres already adepts/queens/etc out, so they are pretty useless for such a high cost.
Yeah just like they were useless in HotS
You totally ignored what I wrote in my post.
In HotS you started with half the economy so such an early game unit like the reaper was stronger, in LotV is much weaker. Early game economy plays a great role on the strenght of reapers.

terran players realized that way earlier and also uThermal does way more than just use reapers. Turns out if you find something that works against your opponent you use it to win.
