GG year 2016
We invite everybody to participate in the tournament named "GG of the Year". The tournament is sponsored by Russian StarCraft Support Fund.

Tournament format:
Preliminaries:
4 qualifiers (2 international qualifiers and 2 CIS-only qualifiers). Each qualifier is Single Elimination. 4 players from each qualifier proceed to the main event. The winner of each qualification also receives 3000 RUR (about 47$).
Players who get the place in the main event through one of the qualifiers can not participate in further qualifiers.
GoodGame.ru doesn't have an English language interface, so here're some instructions to help you with registration and signing up:
How to register at GoodGame.ru and sign up for the qualifiers:

Group Stage - 4 groups of 4 players, Dual Tournament.
Play-offs - Single Elimination, best-of-3 for Ro8, best-of-5 for the semis and the 3rd place match, best-of-7 for the final match.

The general rules and principles
Participating players should keep staying in the Game Channel at all times during the games of the tournament.
1. Administrators
Players should communicate with administrators and with each other politely and in compliance with the game ethics. The administrators make final decisions in case of any disputes, and such final decision cannot be appealed or taken back. In extraordinary circumstances the administrators have the right to change the rules of the tournament.
2. Server
All games of the tournament are played on the European server of Battle.net
3. Preparation for Matches
3.1. If a player is late for the beginning of the match for more than 10 minutes such player gets a technical lose for the first game of the match.
3.2. If a player is late for more than 15 minutes such player gets technical lose for the match.
3.3. Players may ask for a short break between the games of the match (5-7 minutes).
3.4. Administrators reserve the right to change the above-mentioned timeframes in case of special circumstances.
4. Disconnections and Computer Errors
4.1. In case of disconnection or other technical problems of the players who are already in the game the game will be restarted from the replay. If restarting of the game from the replay is not possible due to some reason the following rule will apply:
If one player was disconnected from the game due to technical reasons, and the second player had an overwhelming advantage in the game, which left almost no chance for the first player to win, the administrator may call a victory of the second player. If the game situation was about equal for both players, the game should be replayed.
5.Complaints and Appeals
5.1. If a player has objections against the result of the game or match such player should communicate this objection to the administrator immediately after the game has ended.
5.2. If a player wants to appeal the decision about the result of the game or match, made by the Judges, it should be done immediately after the game has ended.
6. Maps
6.1. Map-pool of the tournament coincides with the current ladder map-pool.
6.2. The games are played on the standard versions of the maps (GameHeart modification is allowed).
6.3. A choice of maps for the game should be made in the following way:
The players ban the maps one by one in turns till the remaining number of maps is equal to the number required for completing the match. The games of the match are played on these remaining maps.
6.5. After the maps for the match are defined, the players choose in turns in which order these maps will be played.
6.6. A player who stands higher in the brackets or in the group will determine who will be banning a map first.
6.7. A player who bans a map first has also the right to choose the first map for the match.
7. Sanctions
7.1. If a player intentionally sabotages the games and the tournament such player will be disqualified.
7.2. A disrespectful behavior towards other players, administrators and viewers can also be the reason for disqualification.
8. Chat
8.1. Players are not allowed to chat unless it is truly necessary. In case it is truly necessary to chat, the players should be very brief and polite. It is recommended that in game chatting should be limited to wishing a good game in the begging of the game and accepting the defeat (“gg”) in the end of the game.
8.2. During the games the players should not communicate with third persons trying to get or transmit the information on what is happening in the game (with one exemption from this rule: communication with the administrators).
8.3. After two minutes passed in the game play a message “gg” made by one of the players means that this player accepts his or her defeat.
8.4. After posting “gg” to the chat the player should immediately leave the game.
9. Game Settings
9.1. All games are played with the maximum speed setting.
9.2. For the duration of the game the players should change their status in Battle.net to “Busy”.
9.3. Players should switch off notifications.
9.4. During the games the option “Only allow friends to send me messages” should be switched on.
9.5. Players are not allowed to use communication software (such as Skype, MSN, etc.) as well as watch or listen to the broadcasts during the games.
9.6. During the games the players should switch on the option “Automatically save replays”.
9.7. During the games all players should stay on a specifically indicated channel.
10. Bugs and fair-play
It is not allowed to exploit any kind of game bugs during the games.
A player may get a warning or disqualification for an evident intentional surrender of a game.
11. Pauses
If a player needs to pause the game it is recommended that such player should warn the second player before doing so. After the game is paused the player should communicate to the administrator the reason for the pause.
12. Tied Games
12.1. If a player intentionally leads the game to a tie, the administrators reserve the right to call a victory of the second player.
12.2. If a tied game occurs due to the properties of StarCraft 2 gaming engine, the game should be replayed.
13. Viewers and Broadcasting
13.1. It is recommended that the players choose their colors as “red” and “blue”. If the administrators request so, the players should choose their colors and “red” and “blue”. If the players cannot decide themselves who will be playing which color, the decision is made by the administrator.
13.2. No viewers are allowed in the games (both qualification games and main event) with exception for broadcasters and administrators. Other broadcasters may be allowed in the game on case by case basis upon the decision of administrators.
13.3. Players are not allowed to watch or listen to the broadcast during the game.
13.4. All broadcasters should stream with a 2 minutes delay.
