Keen and aLive might have to play a seeding match.
Edit: Also, ByuN forfeited before he locked himself out of his house.
Edit: Quote from ZG: "hero - 1 hour before show says he has family trip emergency solar - left his house despite being told to wait and didn't want to come back to play seeding match byun - forfeited before he was locked out alive - is OK"

Classic ByuN move.

So probably no match at all today .

I think players should get warnings then ban them if they failed to show up again.

Tbh what Solar did sounds like the worst offense but also completely unlike Solar.
|
It sucks that Rifkin gets fucked over during a Ting sponsored event.
However, Rifkin shouldnt do what he is doing on stream atm. Man up buddy, show has been canceled, dont bash the forfeiters on stream, move on and take the appropriate measures to ensure it doesnt happen again.
bttv hype...

Yeah, they don't get to play the BTSL monthly final and then a warning. Seems like enough.
Only Solar could deserve a harsher punishment, but should get a chance to explain himself first.
No idea why he did that :/.
He could pretty much just have waited at home until half an hour ago, played a seeding match against aLive and be in the ro8. Very confusing.

Well ByuN is still alive at least. Let's see how fast his puppy grows up.

Yeah good luck waiting for that.
Fuck's sake man if you can go on twitter you have a phone, call someone.

The summary of today's events:
Byun and herO forfeited a few hours before the broadcast was to begin, citing different reasons. To note, Byun forfeited BEFORE he knew he was locked out of his house.
Solar was notified of these potential forfeits and told to wait 15 minutes before it was confirmed. Fifteen minutes later, Solar was told he was to play a BO7 against Alive to determine seeding. Despite being told to wait, Solar said he was already outside with friends and couldn't play, so he forfeited. This forfeit was less than an hour before the broadcast was to start.
The punishment that is to be handed out to Byun and herO is an official warning and loss of invite to the BTSL finals.
The punishment for Solar as of RIGHT NOW is a loss of invite to the BTSL finals and AT LEAST an official warning, but further punishment could be given once Solar has been talked to about the situation.
Alive was willing and ready to play, and will advance to the RO8 in the winner's seed. Keen was the only person from the KR RO16 that responded willing to play and will be awarded the loser's seed in the RO8.

How is Solar being punished for forfeiting from a tournament that he knew wasn't going to happen, when the players who forfeited from the tournament CAUSING it to not happen are treated more lenient? They were told there was a tournament, be ready in a few hours, and forfeited. Solar was told there probably wouldn't be a tournament, be ready in 15 minutes for it probably not to happen, and figured there was no reason to stick around...and he's being punished more than the others? It sounds like he didn't even know there would be a seedling match! So why would he wait around for nothing? Even if he did know, he didn't break the rules any more than the other two.
Also, whining and ranting and bashing the players on stream immediately brings you down to their level, and then some. There isn't any justification for punishing someone for their behavior when yours was no better. At this point its just a personal revenge thing, and petty.

you either have problems with reading or it's you who has some personal bias
Solar was informed that Byun and herO forfeited but he still had to play aLive for place in Ro8. There was no "maybe" - that was certain - but he still left.
if you think BTTV has some personal vendetta against Solar, you couldn't be more wrong. Which can be also proved by the fact that while you're trying to sound smart and throw accusations right and left, BTTV and Solar already agreed on a solution.

People didn't even watch the damn stream and came here and blasting stuff to BTTV. They were only streaming to discuss the situation with audience and Harstem. Didn't trash-talk anyone at all.
I do feel that it is just unfortunate that everything went wrong in the last minute. I feel bad for Rifkin and ZBG. I hope they talk it out, acknowledge the mistakes and move on from there.

First, I will admit that I was wrong about the ranting -- I got that from a third party and it was clearly exaggerated. There was no ranting from BTTV at all, so I apologize for that.
That said, I don't know what your last sentence has to do with anything at all...just two halves of sentences that don't fit together.
I do stand by the statement (which it seems you had trouble reading) that Solar did not break any more rules than the other two. One hour notice or fifteen minutes, neither is an acceptable time to notify of a forfeit. And Byun did not have a valid excuse, either.
In addition, as was suggested in the thread (which you clearly misread) and made clear in the video (which you clearly misheard), Solar left BEFORE being notified that he had to play aLive.
So don't call someone illiterate and biased based on words you purposely misread and selectively ignore to prove a false point.
I still do not believe Solar should be treated worse than the others, or at least Byun. But it's too late for that, I guess.

I heard something to do with " Solar tried to change the group schedule first...." but not clear to me. Supposed that was the reason why the justification was made. Though, the latest statement from ZG did not include this part, perhaps because it is a short note. That said, It is right for the authority do weight in the causes.
Among all, personally I agreed with the point that Solar did not break more rules than the other two, based on the information being collected. The burden occurred while the other two were also participating in VSL, which resulting in 2 hours slip.

I think Solar was the one requesting the date change and BTTV did that for him. In the end, it ended up causing conflict with VSL which both herO and ByuN qualified for. So, BTTV delayed the time for couple hours to accommodate the other two. So, if Solar didn't ask for the date change in the first place, this mess might not happen.
Anyway, it is really unfortunate timing thing. I hope all parties talk it out and move on. No need to linger to this problem forever. Things happen.
