Fuck why is it always early when good terrans are playing :x. Maru & Bunny I think, sOs is playing super bad lately and Keen is decent but Bunny has been hyped?

The only bad thing about it is that Friday night is a popular time to make other plans but I don't see how it's a failure. It's great for me. It's the only one that I can watch live with my sleep schedule. That's exactly what they set out to provide and it provides it.

How does that affect whether the time is better for NA viewers or not? I feel like we're talking about two different things here. If you've got 5000 viewers who can watch at time Y and 2000 viewers that can watch at time Z, and you want to vary broadcast times so both groups of viewers get to watch some broadcasts live, the success or failure of that is based on whether both groups get to watch live. The viewer count of each particular broadcast is a product of the size of the groups. It's not an indication of whether or not you're succeeding.
GSL knows that there is an optimal time to do their broadcast. They chose to broadcast at varying times so that there's a greater number of people that get to watch a live GSL broadcast. Seeing varying viewer counts is not surprising or indicative of anything except of a fact that they already knew.
I think the success or failure of it is determined by the number of unique people that have watched GSL live this season. If it's higher than it would've been without varying the schedule, then they succeeded.

..yep, this and quite a bit lower tbh... ofc I get that my pov is "corrupted" of having difficulties to watch GSL on saturday super early morning and that many NA people can now watch it at a fair time but supporting evidence clearly shows that EU watchers double (and often triple) the NA one and, watching it from a marketing/incoming money/ads stuff pov it can be accounted only as a failed experiment, not a catastrophic one ofc but, imo, not something I'do again if I were in charge...
As someone who's had to watch GSL at 2:30/3:30 in the morning for the past 3-4 years, it's wierd to see people complaining about having only one good day to watch SC2. I mean, pretty much all NA people have had to watch GSL at bad times since pretty much the beginning of WoL.
Also, Go sOs!! We don't need five Terrans in the ro8
Who said NA-friendly time only has 5K. BS. I watch all GSL broadcast. We get at least 10K... Some 18K for herO group. And even more I think for the Death group recently.

Yeah sorry i didn't want to start a debate it just said that both of Maru's groups have been at awful times for me so im super salty about it :D Plus i even more salty when i see the view numbers are around 10-12k for NA and its 15k plus for EU times group which is a midweek! However again it just me venting :D

11pm on Friday night isnt what I call NA friendly. Sure it s ok for the west coast but still pretty bad for the East coast. 12EU is 6pm korea and 6am east coast (acceptable).

Losing Scarlett's friday night series didn't help.
In that last fight if sOs focused the marines, void rays could have killed the marauders. Prob wouldn't have changed much long term, but would still be funny
On February 18 2017 14:02 Sif_ wrote: wait how did this happen? when keen was down to 3 workers and 30 less army supply i stopped watching, lol
sOs had his army split in 3 (1/3rd harassing, 1/3rd defending his natural, and 1/3rd defending his 3rd) and KeeN hit his natural with everything, crushed the units defending it, then destroyed sOs's production.

I'm not sure about Proxima, but on some maps there are terran timings that can smash Protoss before Protoss builds a solid ground army right when 3 or 4 phoenixes are out. For macro openers I think cutting siege tanks for other stuff (like widow mines) is pretty good.

Ah I see, I guess tanks are not great at all + bunny didn't even attempt to wall off either map

Bunny DID try to wall off on Abyssal Reef, but he didn't prioritize it enough.
So he did. My bad. Though seeing as it can't attack I'm pretty comfortable calling his build monoadepts.
Time for sOs to take his pound of flesh!
Actually in spite of it being a bad bait on my end I do think the Warp Prism creating a second front and drawing a lot of units from the natural was quite important. Though I'm quite sure sOs was very far ahead already
I'd feel disgusted by this, but sOs is so much better than KeeN and Bunny that I'm not going to read anything into this. If he gets past herO, he's not beating TY just making Adepts.

Yeah. I thought he was going for observer speed to trick KeeN into thinking he was going for Thermal Lance (à la WoL fake cloak). But with four of them...
I have to say I quite like the role of the void ray in the match-up since the speed buff. It helps fill Protoss's weakness against mines, liberators, and defending drops while not being something that you build a lot of or being too obnoxious (apart from a few all-ins, but they aren't even that good).
I don't think there were really any great games today. Game 3 of sOs KeeN in their first series had too many mistakes from both players to be better than good.

Exactly. He is as arrogant as always. Picked top players to play with, got rekt 0:4. That's why Dark never goes far with GSL.
Nice to see you again, but poor herO I hope they can have a fun Bo5.
Man, I know you are so happy right now. I'm just straight-up sad. Oh well, so be it. soO doesn't look like he is gonna make it either against TY. So, I'm basically out for Ro4 as well.

I mean, if soO beats TY, him and sOs are like 50-50 in semifinal, but TY is tougher for soO though. I think soO is not over yet, he can still fight TY to last minute. Personally I might want TY to advance, again, according to the history, TY is Terran version of herO for sOs, but I really don't mind soO make out, just hope they can show some crazy games like today
BTW Zest needs to learn how to beat KeeN and Bunny next time, just do adepts all-in along with colossi and don't upgrade thermal lance. PvT is much easier than you thought
Yeah, I got my 2/2 bets but that was kinda hard to watch tbh; sOs' many mistakes and nervous start to the mentally crumbling from the 2 lesser terrans and to the mass adept strats pff..

Ryung beating ByuN, Maru, INnoVation, and TY. That would be something. But it gets harder each time he goes up against the terran greats. INnoVation would already have so much information on Ryung's TvT, and should he make it and play TY in the finals, how would he counter TY's advantage of having seen him play about 10 maps against the best terrans?

Probably no, unless you are enjoying to see KeeN and Bunny get bullied by the Jin Air aces. Game 2 of the deciding match was kind funny though, sOs just demonstrated his secret PvT strategy there.
I think SoS is just hiding his most absurd PvT builds, and he will use them to beat down Innovation in the finals One can hope for the impossible right?

If sOs beats herO, then Ro. 4 is like group D again, Maru is still Maru, Bunny upgrade to Bogus, Keen upgrade to TY, sOs still will have to play as the Aiur redeemer But this time, he cannot avoid Maru anymore, indeed, we'll see who is the best JA player in a bo7 final, what a treat.

Yes I know, as I said before the bracket is good for both sOs and Maru now.
