Now we're on Daybreak, one of our oldest maps. Talk to me Ej_
Daybreak has been historically good map for Protoss versus Zerg. You can't do the same drop all-in here that Park Ryung Woo went for in the last game. The chokes also make it much easier for the Protoss player in later stages of the game.

So what does Dark need to do here? Will we see another drop strategy as we saw in the last game? Dark is known for his shenanigans but he is also very strong in the late game, you can't ever count out a guy who can do anything.
Dark unleashing the Zerg swarm on the poor protoss player. He's killing the army, he's winning the game. AAAAAAAAHHH OOOOOOOOOHHHH PARK RYUNG WOOOOOOO GGEEEEEEEEEEEEGEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Too much from Dark! Simply unstoppable versus Protoss!

Not sure why you expect Serral choking. He's had some great periods, but with school always had certain weaknesses/inconcistencies in match-ups or something, and players who were at a pretty similar level have just won against him.
On June 19 2017 19:38 Heartland wrote: Now we see Blink? This is not exactly standard.... Does he want to finish the game early with it?
Oh... that's a good question. Protoss players have recently adopted the blink followup as a mean of strenghtening their army early on, the upgrade indicates an incoming power play from Classic!

It's a running joke i will not be tired of repeating until Serral delivers on his online bonjwa status in offline event.
Ahhh, a very dire position for Protoss. By investing into gateways and blink early on, his technology progress and economy are delayed compared to a standard timing. Maru's lead will only grow stronger now with 2 ebays and 3rd base already landing.
fast storm is the tech choice from Classic. This is slightly non-standard but Classic is known to be a cheeky player. Will this catch Maru off-guard or is he ready?
Finally he gets rid of that widow mine. It might seem small but Starcraft is a gameo f small incremental leads that snowballs into a bigger one and that widow mine is a great example of that.

The viking fends off the warp prism! Classic has nothing to keep Maru at home. The Terran push is incredibly dangerous to a Protoss that is expanding and teching at the same time!
A bad situation becomes a horrible one as Maru crashes his entire army into photon overcharge! I wouldn't want to be a marine in one of those medivacs!
Classic is building his robo bay, but Maru is all prepared for it with attack upgrades for his flying units already being researched. The lategame transition is on the way as Maru switches his starport production to liberators and placers his first sensor towers.
Collossus transition is coming up, Classic going for a higher tech army. Maru also transitions into lib range. Which high-range unit will reign supreme?
What a treat of a game this is. Let's make sure everyone knows about this, go out there, tell your friends, tell your family, get your mom in here so she can see what's going on. This is perfect Starcraft play if I ever saw it.

The Oracle is so important to tag the Terran army to make sure you always see where it is, but also to make sure those long range tempests can do their job.

shouldn't it ? Classic had like ten thousand times the bank of Maru, and now they're equal in supply, I'm confused. Although Maru still has no really good answer vs tempest/storm, probably because there is none
Yeah Classic really shouldn't have sent his whole army to that planetary, seems to have cost him. Huge positional advantage for Maru who took it and got a great fight.
On June 19 2017 19:58 Penev wrote: I thought Classic had that
ofc he had that game won, but he really messed up at the planetary. His positioning was horrible while Maru's was excellent. At the end of that fight he hadn't killed the planetary and had lost 60 supply while Maru had lost like 20 supply.
the question is will this game tilt Classic for the rest of the day. That might decide his fate today, he must overcome this loss. I'm confident he can do it with his strong mentality but losing such a long game where you were ahead for so long must be brutal.

ha ha ha that must be rough
You know who else had it rough? ToD at the last tournament. He was trying to get to sleep but all the progamers who had lost their games were partying in the next room, finally ToD - who is a huge guy with all these tattoos you know, just like gets out of his bed, opens their door and yells "QUIT ZHE PARTY!" And these demure little pasty-faced nerds - I mean like us, you know, we're all like that, just shush immediately. Haha, ToD is the best, I wouldn't want to be...
...Oh shit, fast third! We have to talk about the game!
4 kills on the oracle, Classic getting the momentum with his nice tempo play. will he follow this up with more aggression or is he confident going lategame from this position?

for some time I thought he could hold with storm at his base even after that horrendous trade but Maru didn't really eat those storms, even splitting the vikings quite ok

yeah Maru really did not waste the opportunity he was given
templar archives again the transition for Classic. Is this a specific strategy vs Maru or is this his favourite way to play? We might see in the future. Maru with a sharp timing now, can Classic defend?
Really great games today, great micro, what a day to be alive and watch Starcraft. Get everyone in here, tell them that MARRRRRRUUUU IS CRUSHING FACE TODAY!
seriously those were really good, hard-fought games, and even though Maru could exploit some mistakes from Classic, his resilience was impressive in both games

yeah resilience is a very good trait for an sc2 player. He's not going down without a fight. Maru must be exhausted after those games
Reapers recently made a come back. after the nerf they weren't really build but in gsl terrans had a lot of success with massing reapers. Will Maru add another success story to this iconic unit?

hard to say. he forced bunkers and made Maru cancel his addons so arguably he didn't need to commit and risk losing everyting

Dark goes roaches because he also goes gas-pool-hatch instead of hatch-gas-pool. With such a late hatch, you don't have as much production as hatch first, which is not good if you wanna go zerglings As I say that, he goes zerlings

Are you high, roaches were the only thing you could do vs reapers on Frozen Temple and co.

First half 2016 he hadnt to deal with reaper ( against TY SSL/Cross finals it wasnt pool first right ? )

Maru has only marines and reapers so this should be ez to kill with roach/ling/ravager
Normally, the terran can use grenades to soften the roaches and ravagers on the way past the map and then pull scvs to finish them if theres still a scary amount left

Well maru recently stomped byun and classic so he should be able to get out of fast lane 2. Then again he shouldn't have been close to losing to dear like that. Disruptor hits of the gods and oracles are as bad as losing to DTs etc

Dislike the unit so much, it's either useless or game ending. And usually not because of either players skill either. PvP disruptor wars are up there with the most painful metas to watch imo
