Only a fool would stand between soO and the GSL finals.
soO will smash Stats in a onesided beatdown, then get 10 accounts in top 10 KR GM and win every single game he plays for months, and finally take 2 games before losing in the finals
What was that attack?!!?! Attacking into a such beautiful arch with not caring about banelings at all?! WTF Stats?! Like I'm cheering for soO, but that was abysmal.
I felt like soO really wasn't that far behind. Worker number is what matters in those sort of games I figure, and like always with vs stargate the Zerg can always make drones long as he's not gonna get crushed by the attack. That said, soO did great by turning the tables with dominating that attack SO HARD. I expected the game to even out a bit, not stats down 30 supply.
Lol, those banelings reminded me a scene from Mars Attacks. When those aliens are running around with the translating computer, killing everyone and shouting "don't run, we come in piece"

He needs another 2nd place.
Maru better win the other game then, Dark might be able to lose to soO.

And its funny how few people factor that in when making predictions

It's not about SoO recking tosses, it's about him recking everybody until finals, where he will choke and lose to anyone lol.

Who in their right mind predicted soO to lose today lol?

Dark vs soO finals would mean the end of the world as we know it.
I made a prediction in another thread.
The score is 3:3, the last game is happening. And it's a TIE! Re-game. TIE AGAIN! Re-game. TIE AGAIN. And then when they try to decide the finals with a coin flip, the coin will stay hanging in the air.

some people are predicting stats to win, and other predict soo wining but in a close series

My heart wants Stats to win to prevent a ZvZ finals, my mind says soO because he shouldn't lose before the finals.

Might be my personal PvZ hatred that makes me have no hope for Stats. Who knows, I expected a 4-0 or 4-1 so he’s doing better than I’d thought already .
Stats took out the player that never loses in a GSL semi in such a unfavorable matchup. I am expecting a 4-2 prediction in the finals by TL writer against Stats. Most underrated player of all time.

seems like if he gets the time aka more maps he can touch on his high potential
Dammit. I like Stats, but I was hoping soO would get his GSL this time. Games weren't all that good either. soO didn't look as sharp as he's been before.
Jeez, of course I had to take off after game 4 (not for lack of faith in Stats, I had some things to do), only to come back and see this. I swear, the less I watch, the better the player I'm cheering for performs. Works every time. Way to go Stats :D
I feel like Stats came in with some kind of plan for each map and soO didn't. He looked lost on what do it in most of those games. There are plently of builds he could have tried at least once to win more maps.
Protoss wins but PvZ still seems really hard. Of course, we're not all having to play against soO, but still. Every PvZ match with top 5 players is really intriguing now.

They weren't that great... Stats won with clutch timing (to be polite) and soO won 1 game with all in and the others by defending well agasint Stats and roll him. I'd say that I was impressed the msot by the first game.

Looking back at soO's pregame interview it makes a lot sense. Well, it's not a new problem with him imo.
Stats on the other hand has really good preparation for long series.

As a series it was a great watch but the single games were often over too quickly to leave a lasting expression. I liked game 5 (or was it 6? the one on catalyst) the most. Stats builds were really well-planned and worth studying in case you play toss.

Especially the bolded, this is exactly how I feel about the series.

You would say that, maybe he didn't feel like mechanically he would need to.
Which is a massive oversight from soO. Even if he thinks he'll beat Stats in a macro game, it's still a bo7, you need variety. Choosing not to use seemingly unbeatable builds, and trying to play the same game every map, just doesn't seem like a smart move.
i really like this series, it had pretty cool games and was super tense. im really sad about soO but at least now i can cheer with all my heart for Maru.

Yeah... still pissed, not about the result but how it was played...

Agreed, using some of the tools we have after drop nerf would have been nice. I don't like playing into a macro players hands if I can help it.
