Artanis/Zagara combo cleans up mines. Raynor with extra orbitals for scan. Swann uses sci vessels anyway, so he can slow push. Karax can probably hold key spots with cannons. Vorazun will have trouble against invisible scourge that keep taking out the oracles. | ||

Raynor seems a good option with scans, I scan ecery wave anyway. The first wave comes quite fast on this map, so I guess some static detector defense will be needed... My guess is that Swan, Raynor and Karax will be better than others. | ||

Artanis is undisputed master here, tempests, obs, and guardian shell make short work of mines. Karax is also quite good, he can simply cannon push the first two shard spawns and carrier the others. Swann works well, but needs to be careful about dropping tanks onto mines and has the worse mobile detection. Abathur's only good build is guardians, but it works very well. Swarm hosts can work but they still don't give biomass boosts to locusts unless you manually spawn them so the locusts tend to die before getting anything done. Kerrigan can work with broodlords, but you better pray it's not an air wave. Raynor's bio gets rekt hard, but mech pushing with tanks or banshees can work. Scans are the most useful detection here. Vorazun has a tough time again. Voids are very squishy against widow mines and corsair/dt just gets blown up again and again. Zagara needs Artanis to do anything useful, her units just die too quickly otherwise. The first wave can actually be a big problem here, as it is cloaked and comes earlier than normal. Karax can build instant cannons and Abathur can morph a spore fast, but the rest of the commanders need to get a engineering bay/forge/spore up much faster than normal for turrets. | ||

The interesting things I didn't know - overcharged can be only limited number of buildings - managing economy with artanis and vorazun probes is pain. Neither probes can give resources to others nexus and neither can mine from others assimilators. When Vora left it's better to kill all her probes and nexus if you want the gass. | ||

Dont know if it is the best strategy, but started with a very early forge into some cannons both at home and at expo, to expand and defend, then teched to stargate and robo, and only air attack upgrades. | ||

Seriously, it's... decent. You won't lose anything to mines, but the problem is that it's so slowwwwwww. With other commanders, you can barge in 2 minutes before the countdown expire, with Swarm Hosts, you need double that (at least) Vorazun and Zagara are not that great. Artanis is top tier. | ||

Probably the easiest mutation with the right commanders. My ally was Swan and all he had to do was help defend sometimes, used the drill super shot, and place the gas drones which helped me mass Tempests faster. Not sure which commander is best with Artanis, but my guess is Swann just because of the gas. | ||

Swann was quite easy too with standard goli/vessel amove. Again super easy just due to golis outranging mines by a lot. Aba was meh. I went broods, but I was severely min drained entire game. I guess zergs have that issue here, no much point massing roaches unless you rely on mass ravagers, but even then you have to micro every mine out as their AA range isn't enough. Ended up with 10k/0 resources when beat it Not optimal at all but would have to rate Aba ways below the other two. | ||

The void shards have 5500 hp, which is much more than the 4000 hp of the thrashers. That means that it's much harder to scourge bomb them. The widow mines aren't particularly helpful in this case, either. | ||
