Just in general the original commanders tend to be at the bottom of list for most mutations. Kerrigan's only benefit is the hero, Artanis can only shine on tempest friendly mutations and his invulnerability, and Nova just does everything better than Swann. Ray only does well in defense missions due to mines, but his bio always loses to Nova too.

Out of the three new commanders, only Nova is clearly better than the others, mostly because she has no crippling weaknesses such as Raynor's frail units, Kerrigan's lack of anti-air, Artanis' lack of power, Swann's ramp up time, Zagara's sustainability issues, Vorazun's melee dependence, or Karax's lack of power. Much like pre-nerf Vorazun, she's not always the best at a mutation, but she always ranks highly. In my rankings, she's gotten top 5 in all 6 mutations she's been a part of. However, there are things that Swann and Raynor bio do better than Nova. For instance, Swann would be much better at pure defensive mutations such as the Burning Legion, a mission where better turrets and an abundance of Siege Tanks was key. As for Raynor, he's generally better at pushing bases than Nova with his bio. Alarak and Abathur are nowhere near as consistent as Nova, but my ranking puts them in the top 5 as well. If you take into account pre-nerf Vorazun, they'd be #3 and 4 respectively.

Shorter ground attack range & that stun ability or are they the old version? They're neither; instead they're the campaign version. They do flat damage instead of bonus vs Massive and have long ground range + short air range.
