Description: A spacetime anomaly has enveloped Kaldir. Kinetic energy is diffused in all directions, and pockets of temporal and spatial irregularity litter the battlefield. Fight through them and take down the shuttles.
Map: Void Launch
Mutations:
Diffusion [New!] Damage dealt to enemies is split evenly across all nearby units, including your own.
Mineral Shields Mineral clusters at player bases are periodically encased in a shield which must be destroyed for gathering to continue.
Shortsighted Player units & structures have reduced vision range.
Easy one indeed! Finished it with raynor. Mass command centers gives you a lot of economy to replace units and scans for vision. I imagine Zagara is going to shine here. Melee units are less punished by decreased vision and suicide units are less punished for taking damage.
Was easy with mastery90 Stukov, then on other server it was also easy with lev6 Karax. Plenty easy ones lately!
Wonder what's up with the 14 days remaining though. Mutations coming every 2nd week would be horrible and I don't see any special holidays going on that'd stop them from releasing 1 per week.

They might be running out of ideas.
They still have the injustice league mutation from the contest. I think the 2 weeks are just a mistake.
thought zagara was pretty great for this one. you have so much money at the end just make a bunch of hatches and spam scourge waves. also i used 2 queens to spread creep giving me vision all over the map
I now think Raynor vulture+vikings is by far the easiest way to go about it. Mines do a lot of damage far away from your army and viking range+ scans means vikings don't take any damage either if controlled properly.
Alarak is great here... just psi orb the armies away before they are on screen or in range to split damage with your army.
Abathur is also great... mass devourers + roaches + queens kills everything and heals through the damage.
Karax is of course well suited to the mission, but the vision penalty makes it so you need a decent ally at times IMO. There were plenty of moments where I saw armies killing his towers from outside vision range so his defenses were dying without doing any damage back.

The trick is to make tons of observers and put them on the static high vision mode!
Yeah, Karax with some observers is more than enough. I was paired with Vorazun going DT/Corsair, and so when my observers where sometime killed, they just respawned to my nexus too
Diffusion handicaps short-range units while Shortsighted handicaps long-range units. The two main issues commanders struggled with this week include:
Handling all sorts of enemy wave compositions given this handicap. Vorazun, and to some extent, Artanis are most affected by this handicap.
Handling air. Since the mission is Void Launch, there will always be air units. Almost every commander deals better with ground than air, but some especially struggle. Kerrigan, Nova, Artanis, and Stukov are affected by this the most.
Dealing with the last wave. Nova, and Kerrigan especially struggle with this one.
Commanders 1-4 can most solidly handle this mission. Commanders 5-7 can do so under more shaky grounds. Commander 8-11 each have some crippling weaknesses in this mutation.
Raynor: Harder to use than #2 and #3, but can produce amazing results. Mass mules lets you get a great economy despite Mineral Shields. Scans let you ignore shortsighted. Either Bio/Mech or Mech is great here.
Karax: Karax abilities plus static defense go a long way in defending. Observers in surveillance mode + Carriers do work here as well.
Alarak: Psi Orbs and Mind Blast can easily handle this mission despite the lack of vision.
Stukov: Bunkers and infested act as great static defense. Struggles with air more than other commanders in the top 5. I tried Infested Liberators here and they were just horrible.
Abathur: Devourers are the best anti-air in the game. However, Abathur struggles a bit versus some ground waves as it's hard to use Vipers without proper vision.
Swann: Slightly weaker early game, but Swann's units behind Turrets acts as a great defense.
Zagara: Stumbles through the mid-game, but can more consistently beat it no matter what the enemy composition is. Bile Launchers + waves of Scourge can handle the final wave.
Nova: Easily defeats the vast majority of the mission until the last air wave. Then she has issues, especially if the wave is air units, because she can't amass large numbers of anti-air units as the other commanders and the lack of vision handicaps Goliaths.
Kerrigan: Similar issues to Nova here but more severe. She handles the first parts of the mutation well, but get steamrolled by the last air wave even harder than Nova.
Artanis: Weak early game. You have to go air here, probably starting off with Phoenix since Tempests are handicapped by low sight range.
Vorazun: You have to go air here basically since DTs die horribly to diffusion. The problem is air Vorazun can't handle a lot of ground armies early on like Zergling-based ones. Also, has a generally weak early game. Dark Archons might help here, but that would require a tech to both air and Dark Archons.
My Mutation partner and I tried multiple combinations and the most effective were Zagara/Stukov (although we let through 6 shuttles over the mission, losing at the final wave) and Nova/Vorazun where we cleared the map on Brutal with moderate ease.
Close to perfect play from the commander in question.
I consider both the average and worst possible waves and scenarios for each mutation. That is, I consider all 13 possible waves.
I'm sure your personal rankings will change if you use different criteria. However, I'm not sure how Zagara/Stukov letting 6 Shuttles through counts as an effective combination. If I had to pick the optimal combination, it would definitely include Raynor.
Me as Abathur with an Ally Karax. It was going great early/mid game but unfortunately it was enemy protoss with a shit load of immortals which meant any type of cannon defense from Karax just didn't matter, they would melt. We eventually lost maybe 10 minutes in or so?
Me as Zagara with an Ally Stukov. It was easy. I basically pushed with his infested to clear the map and would spam scourge on shuttles. He ended up taking the west side, I got the east side, and we'd both help out the middle. Got 2 out of 3 bonuses. Could have got the last bonus but decided not to risk it since we didn't even start clearing out that northwest side area. We also didn't leak a single shuttle.

I think you've found the perfect criteria for this mutation!
