The project M team have gone out and sent a release date for 3.5, as well as released a trailer to show off some of the new additions. + Show Spoiler + The revamped stages are freaking gorgeous, I have to say, and glad to see even more skins. The project M site has dev posts showing what was being considered for 3.5, so new ledge mechanics can be seen there, and debug mode is detailed there as well. I have to say, I'm not sure what they did with Zelda. It kind of looks like she could call back Din's Fire. And I really want to see how people are gonna use Ganondorf now with the hover ability.

Forgot about that. They really just stepped up everything looks like. And it's only two days from now. I kind of feel bad for Nintendo at this point, as they're releasing a game that has to against Melee and PM while also being on an underselling console.

SSB4 is still a week or so from release and it still has by far the most pre-orders ever for a WiiU game, significantly beating out Mario Kart 8. Keep in mind that Mario Kart Wii sold well over twice as many copies as Brawl did on the Wii. Purchases for the WiiU are also rising faster than they were at this period last year. I love Project M, but keep in mind that the competitive community will never be more than a tiny fraction of the playerbase, which in turn will only be a portion of the install base. If there is any community that they won't utterly crush the numbers of Melee and PM with, it will be the type of community who posts here. Just be aware of how niche we are.

Wow, looks sick. Excited for Ganon's new mobility/tactics ^^
Also, the new/HD levels look beautiful.

Well, it also serves to create some interest in the series itself, so I think Smash 4 is actually profiting from this (as it already does from all the Melee tournaments and press).

Project M makes awesome videos

Update is set for today, but nothing yet. Trying to wait patiently

Just in time for apex!
Captain falcon feels really nice in pm, fox/falco feel clunky.

Ganons float isn't that useful it seems... meh
|
Yeah I haven't been digging it as much as I was expecting. Helps with recovery sometimes, that's about it. But if you use your mid-air jump before the float, then when trying to up-B out of the float it seems to always cape first which... has killed me numerous times when trying to recover. If you're trying to recover from far away or from low you need to use the float > mid-air > up-B. I've used it to some success when recovering high against spiking players though (and even gotten counter spikes a couple times).
Forward smash is a nice change though and new melee style skins are so sick.
+ Show Spoiler +Played some smash 4 over the weekend and Ganon is absolute fucking garbage.

Mahvel mode in PM (All Star, Turbo, Stamina) is ridiculously fun to play. Especially allows you to weed out the one trick ponies haha
