That being said, and the fact you're watching this thread closely. Here is my feedback. http://www.justin.tv/day9tv Vs. http://day9tv.blip.tv/ I think you guys should go back to the drawing board on a more concise method of displaying the initial pages. I personally don't like the layout (not sure if any others agree with this). Feel it's a little too busy. Specifically I'd suggest hiding a lot of the sharing, embed, etc. I'm fine with the advertisements (I don't even adblock! :D), and also like the "suggested channels", which I think is very productive. Also another suggestion...not sure if you have this done already...just throwing it out there if you do. Day9 did a PC World article I believe on how to setup your own internet TV show. Maybe get Day9 to do this on how to setup a show on Justin.tv? Or maybe create your own video. Possibly send this out as part of the registration process. I really liked the article that Day9 did and I think this could pretty far in terms of educating your own users on how to properly setup the encoding process. Other than that...beautiful stuff. Push to YouTube, IRC support, etc etc...really breaking some ground here on how it should be done! I just wish the visuals were a little more beautiful. *edit* Registered a different name on JustinTV for a potential project. Saw the "how will you be broadcasting" afterwards. Feel like a bit of egg on my face. :D Still maybe send a quick "getting started" e-mail wouldn't be a bad idea?

I have a gaming community, and we're a bunch of players streaming on one channel viewed by the community. I actually asked about this a while ago on the justin.tv forums, and they basically told me that 1 channel = 1 streamer, unless I share passwords which is not possible for safety reasons (can't trust the whole stream to one person). We are reading this thread closely! Selectable colors, in text or in name, whatever to differentiate people. It's the one thing I think lacks on quakenet IRC plugin.

android is a fast growing platform and i think it would be easy and benefit-able to make ( since you just need to port it to android)

Something simple like memorizing a user's preferred bit-rate while watching a stream and automatically choosing that bit-rate when the user loads up a stream would be nice. Other than that, like other people are saying, a more streamlined, clean, and professional UI would be really nice. Make it look less like a myspace page, and more of a professional streaming site that streams professional games. Things like this matter to users (though kinda subliminally) - and the better the experience is the better it is for both JustinTV and the SC scene as a whole. That said, you guys are actually doing a great job. Streaming wise, I truly thing you are the best out there. I think a few relatively simple UI tweaks would really help differentiate your product even more from your competition.
