The giant letters that say march 4th @ 4PM EST in the giant picture in the OP make it pretty obvious. idra vs huk should be a good match, a semi-friendly rivalry, machine vs incontrol will be, well, cannons DT's and 3 base turtle deathballs.

Today is 3.4.12 (month/day/year - American format). And even though this American team wrote 3.4.12 in this thread in an American forum, they actually mean 4.3.12 (day/month/year - European format)? ...whatever... I'll just look at the sidebar (upcoming events) to see what's when on, as that's the only source where one actually knows when something is going to air. All other sources use several and switch between date formats, time zones and daylight saving times which makes it one hell of a guess game. PS: Hello world leaders, Year/Month/Day. Globally. Please. You'll know why, if you ever used a computer.

btw, even americans know the day/month/year... 4th july? and the americans know that, thats why they usually write 'march 4th' instead of 3.4. lets just agree that, except the US, no other country uses month/day/year, and that day/month/year is used in the EU, most of asia, south america, australia and parts of africa. anyway TL wont change US timesystems, so lets just hope for some nice matches today.

Nonetheless, I'll try and tune in, but if I'm correct, it'll be 6am here in Korea when that starts. As per the date/month confusion...read the fucking OP...it says right in the middle MARCH 4th @ 4:00PM EST This thread is not for discussing which order should be used anyway. geez... for the post above, here in korea they use year/month/day...just fyi

Top 30 would be a damn bold statement, people easily forget how close the sc2 competitive scene is, when someone gets out of shape, they can get from top 10 to top 50 in less than 3 months... and I think incontrol would be the first to say so. No need for over hyping popular and charismatic players, lets just not kill them while they're getting back on track is all, show them support if you're a fan, but I see so many fans of various pros going crazy and just making idiotic statements, even if I cant possibly believe that this one was serious, incontrol top 3 protoss man, if it aint a troll I really dont know what to say :D

I think incontrol>Machine but it's closer. I can predict there will be plenty of cannons at Machine's natural Idra's match will almost entirely be determined by whether or not idra can play zvp now. There's no reason to believe he can, really, so it seems like it'll be a walkover for huk just based on the matchup. I kinda hope Idra does show he finally can beat toss, but I don't expect it to happen. Incontrol seems to be the kind of player who benefits exponentially from being able to study and prepare for an opponent. For example, there was that showmatch where he was scheduled to play dimaga, but played ret instead and got roflstomped. Then he played dima immediately after and lost 3-2 (I think). I feel he prepares well for opponents, so obviously he'll be well prepared against someone who he plays regularly. Also, I'd place dimaga's zvp above machine's even though it's weird (and both are obv. way below ret), so it's not hard to believe that Inc can turn 2-3 dimaga into 3-2 or 3-1 machine.

Yeah, you didn't post it in GST, but then again - neither did any of the whiners... until now. Behold, sharing data on the internet instead of randomly being a dick to others 4PM EST 10 PM GMT+1 (continental western and center EU) (22:00) 9 PM GMT (the sailors) (21:00) 11 PM GMT +2 - SA and most of eastern Europe. Wave to Egypt! Midnight - seriously, Belarus? And for our Russian friends - it starts at 1 AM of 5th, so bring coffee to work the next day!

Idra's ZvP is pretty decent to be honest. He almost took down Oz, and Oz is like top5 protoss isn't he? That's judging from 1 series though, so maybe he just had a moment of shining and it won't happen again. I don't think that's the case though Hopefully it's going to be good matches :D

I hope we've scratched that itch. PS.: To all others - or possibly, idk, look at the previous page to see at what hour it starts in different timezones. Remember kids, showmatches with Idra are Starcraft's way of telling you to get the fuck out and do something with your lives.[/QUOTE This could ave been a nice series but you are right..Idra doesnt take these matches seriously, and with nothing on the line but clan internal bragging rights not sure his match with Huk will be anything more than a gimmick...still probably watch though as I am keen to see Incontrol v Machine. Tier 2 players but they do an awful lot of commentary on their streams and are knowledgable even if they have weaker (relatively) mechanics.

Yep, we'll fix the sound by next Sunday's matches. The production should be smoother next week as well. Orb's computer had not been set up in the way it will be next week which should allow him to transition between overlays and some of the assets more easily. Sorry about it today! HuK says he hopes he'll do well in NY (since the games were just before MLG Arena) and even mentions the "u 6 poll" comment from aLive which is quite recent. While Orb might not be as repetitive (cuz u dont hear him cast so often) as for example Tastosis i do find his analysis so off oftentimes... unlike Tastosis. For example on the Daybreak game of Huk vs Idra he set his mind on Huk being so far behind and from that point he started making one after another analysis mistake... my head almost blew up when he did a mistake in analysis in every second sentence after the point where idra got "so far ahead" instead of changing his mindset and focusing on how the game was actually further developing.

As for the games, the Idra vs Huk series was very entertaining, the conversation between the two of them was a good laugh and the play wasn't too boring. Machine vs InControl was certainly interesting... though the difference in skill between them and Idra and Huk became really apparent when watching the series one after the other. Still, a good watch, props EG. Hopefully we'll see DeMuslim vs LzGamer and Puma vs JYP soon!

Alternative strategies would be to admit that one was wrong which I would imagine to be more difficult if one is casting alone (vs. a duo) or not make predictions at all and just describing the game. But IMO the latter would result in quite shallow casting. I don't mind if casters try to make predictions even when wrong. Such predictions guide attention to details which would otherwise not even be perceived, especially by a lay-person. Day9 does that aspect really well (describing how the game could unfold or will unfold from a certain point on and why).

I also thoroughly enjoyed the friendly/light-hearted spirit that the players kept in the matches. It was all about the fun of it and doing something for the fans, which is a great attitude to have.

I actually like him, especially over some others that cast in the very same tournament. He doesnt grate on "the listener", he grates on you. There is a difference... +1 on the analysis part though, he is obviously a very good player when he picks out certain things like that. I occasionally learn a thing or two from him as well, which is also a bonus for watching him.

Maybe read his post again and try to actually understand it. Saying that Orb is a great caster for X reasons is obviously a contribution to this forum, derogative remarks about the EG team as a whole does not belong here and neither do unfounded one-liner garbage opinions spewed randomly across the board. If you have any relevant critique you are always free to voice your opinion. It's common sense.

In case those didn't cover something: This is TL forum, not /b/ or reddit. We're here thanks to courtesy of TL, they are our hosts. If my host tells me not to bad mouth KKK, I might choose to gtfo, or stay - but stfu. It's a bit odd to ban people for being cheery, though they may get a warning that they inflate topic unnecessarily (this is actually a policy ie on NationStates official forums). But if you pop in to state a simple opinion, AND the only thing it can possibly achieve is irritate people - there's no "kicking a puppy" factor that would stop mods from tempbanning your spamming, derailing ass. ^Constructive? Maybe. Bannable? Kinda. edit: Oh, and more to the point: http://mostevil.evilgeniuses.net/Tournament/Standings/ Standings have been added, and although results have not been updated, I assume they will be today, as the feature was totally blank yesterday.

Remember these are cast from replays, not live - so it's not as if if Machine wins it's against Idra playing 4h straight.

I'd say get iNcontrol to do it, but I'd prefer him playing as well as he did in those last games( Maybe with a different PvZ opening ;-) ), so maybe that'd be an unnecesary distraction. edit: Found it - starts at 3PM I'll still try and catch some Idra vs iNcontrol live.
