I am an amateur caster, and I have a lot of fun doing it! I want to thank my fans for watching and to help promote the show during these holiday seasons so I decided a contest is in order where the winner will receive a prize. I have purchased a Razer Blackwidow Keyboard (the same one pictured) that the lucky winner shall receive. The fancy new 2013 model with the 10 key rollover.
How do you win a free Razer Blackwidow keyboard?
Easy.
1. Subscribe to my Youtube Channel 2. Watch my Starcraft 2 videos from the 8th to 19th December 2012 3. During the 12 days of Niteshade, write down the 10 keywords I announce in the shows 4. After the last show on the 19th - submit an email to:giveaway@niteshade.tv
The email must contain: 1 .Your Youtube username (to verify you subscribed) 2. The total of 10 Keywords I announced. 3. A mailing address where I can mail your keyboard should you win.
On the 20th of December 2012 at 9pm EST, Submissions will be closed. On the 21st of December 2012, at 9pm EST - I will draw, at random a winner from the submissions. I will be doing this live on Twitch.tv
I mail you your keyboard (if you won).
Start Watching!
TL:DR - Watch THIS VIDEO ON YOUTUBE Get keywords. 12 days. Email words. Enter to win in Draw.
PS: Since this thread is later than the start date of the contest: There May be Keywords in Epsiode #33, 34, and 35.... Just saying... Also, One last caveat. Thanks to Team Razer the Razer Blackwidow keyboard will be shipped worldwide! ANYONE CAN ENTER!

Totally agree... I'm all for someone promoting their show but this requires subscriptions and watching it for what 10 days? z_z seems over excessive.
True, time is money, but this guy is not a rich corporation, so it's vital for him to he get an exponential return on his investment (the keyboard + sponsored thread)
I wish you goodluck with the promotion of your SC2 casting but I doubt this is the best way to spend your money. Most people will find it's WAY too much trouble to watch 10ish videos over a long time span to have a small chance of winning a keyboard.
I really wish I could afford an even bigger prize pack - I really do. I put a great deal of thought into how I could make it interesting - but not so easy every single person in north american would enter. Watching video's is low effort, and aside from the last day (the 19th) - you can watch them in batches if your schedule permits. Ultimately, I had to find a balance. I know not everyong is going to like it, but hey - I tried.
The goal behind this was twofold - to promote the show, but also to give back something cool to the guys who really like SC2 and esports. I think this will do it. I also hope that down the road I can continue to do contests and such depending on how things go.
I hope you guys will watch, and get an entry into the contest - and if you do - I sincerely wish you all the best of luck!
I won't be trying to get the Blackwidow either but the "Free Blackwidow" title on the left attracted my attention and prompted me to read the OP and check out some of your vids so good job on that at least.
I think you're doing a good job, a better one than many of the more established casters out there. I don't know about everyone else but I never heard of you before simply because I never see your name on the TL bar listing the streams on the right. Perhaps trying to land a few casting gigs with the daily / weekly cups could be a good way to get your name out there some more?
Hey guys, so happy you guys think I am a good caster. I love hearing great feedback, and I am having a blast and I hope you are too! Spread the word to your friends. I sure can use the viewers!
We're super happy to see individuals like you putting so much thought and passion into making a name for themselves in e-Sports. It's what keeps our sport fresh, exciting, and successful. That's why we love supporting people like you for doing the cool things in life.
Why don't you hold onto that Razer BlackWidow for yourself. When you announce your winner, let us know their address and contact number via PM and we'll ship out a brand new keyboard anywhere in the world for your winner.

You can't win if you don't try! Give it a shot - its not like theres going to be 10,000 entries or anything!
This is awesome. The contest, The Keyboard, Team Razer, Niteshade, SC2, Team Liquid... I just love to see people working together to create win, win, win, win... situations like this.
I hope other teams take a cue from Razor and people like them and help not just the big names and venues but the upstarts, amateurs and the fans.

Simply awesome. Keep it up!
Wow.
Nightshade, I'll be sure to look you up, not interested in the keyboard but the thread definitely got my attention on the left with its title. I always like to find a new youtube caster I can add to my subscriptions.

Is there a reason why you request mailing addresses before you choose the winner? Seems like it'd make more sense to request that after selecting and contacting the winner.

Hi Yango! You raised a point I put a good bit of thought into. I think I know where you are going with this. On the one side of the coin I do want to respect people's privacy. On the other, some people are horrible at replying to email, there may be language barriers, etc. So to streamline things, by asking for the address up front, allows me to do all the checks quickly, draw the winner - and all without having to rely on two-way communication. Very quick.
It is a time saving measure really, and also ensures I do not get emails from copycats.
I hope this answers your question. It was a tough decision - really. Best, Niteshade
Good promotion idea, TL Sponsored Threads stick around for a while, so you'll definitely get views ^^. +1 subscriber! ~ (PS: Your actually pretty good XD)
EDIT: Oh just saw the Razer post, you guys should sponsor him he's giving you free advertisement
Thanks for the all the great feedback guys - I am loving it a lot!
Razer doesn't need to sponsor me - I already use, and enjoy their products a great deal. One of the reasons I chose their keyboard in the first place - because my personal experience with it is excellent.
This guy does an awesome job. He did a live FFA with the people in the chat after he finished casting and it was craazy. Just turrible turrible damage to everyone everywhere. Everyone was chatting it up and super nice. =)
11 days have elapsed, 9 keywords out, and the last one cast tommorrow evening! Make sure you tune and get the ones you've not yet found! Good luck to everyone! - Best, Niteshade
hey man ur pretty good at this :D I feel like you should get a casting partner (idk it feels like ur style would be complemented by a partner, also you wouldnt have to talk non stop )
I cannot thank EVERYONE for making the 12 days of niteshade SO MUCH DAMNED FUN to do
End of the day, My viewership has risen, and more importantly I got a TON of feedback on how to make my show better and how to improve my casting style. I cannot do this without you guys here on TeamLiquid. To you my thanks, and Mad crazy holiday love to you all
The 12 days are done, but there is still time to get your submission in!
Get the keywords from http://www.youtube.com/niteshadesc2 - here is a hint. Start at Beyond the Bunker (BtB) Episode #33 and work your way through the videos. Get all 10 keywords!
Thanks so much again, and the winner will be announced live on Friday December 21st at 9pm EST at http://www.twitch.tv/niteshadesc2 !!!
