This is a fun race to watch! Good camera work and production value. It's so nice to see racing that actually looks like a race, not just rows of cars turning left.

That was unfortunately the only race this season i could really watch but it was worth it. Btw David as a commentator is even better than he was a driver

I think ERS/KERS is pretty cool actually... I think it's a good design, making cars reliable and efficient should be rewarded... But not limit the speed by imposing a fuel limit or give teams shitty tires. All this efficiency stuff has been done in the name of bringing down costs, so by bringing engines down to V6, I'd imagine they are cheaper... Why not have 1 engine per race so teams can push during the race instead of always looking to the next race, but not be limited by fuel or bad tires, and then the drivers can push as hard as they physically can. If they do that as well as lower aerodynamics - which they did, as well as remove a few electronic aids, then we have some cars that take skill to drive... These cars wont likely require DRS because of higher driver skill needed, so we can actually see real passing, not just it being on a straight every single time, as well as we will see driver's pushing at 100% instead of giving them some artificial handicaps. Isn't that what we have always wanted? I suppose removal of electronic aids can be seen as a handicap, but it'd make the race more fun imo. sorry for the bump, but the ongoing tests in Barcelona for 2017 season look promising in both car performance and tire design. The times set on the circuit are already close to 2007/2008 times and this is what Kev Magnussen said today: “It’s such a big relief to be able to push hard on one lap but also more than one,” Magnussen said. “The tyres do have degradation but there is still so much grip and you can still push really hard. It is so much more fun to drive. In one lap it is really good fun, really impressive to drive and in race distance it is much more fun. You feel like you are going fast. With the old cars, it was sometimes embarrassing. Some corners you were not even full throttle between them even though there was a straight.” Question is: will zere make a comeback to F1? EDIT: current best time is 1:19.310 from Bottas Track best time in test: 1.18.339 (2008) from Massa with illegal car settings.

I haven't seen a Grand Prix live for years. yeah, also the cars look dope, even though the sharks fin is not the prettiest element. STR is by far the prettiest of all.

If Merc respond, this will be already in 1'18" This year will be sick. EDIT: Kimi clocks 1'18"634. Fantastic! 3 tenths to the absolute record. Last years best was 1'22"765 also by Kimi. Thats already 4+ seconds.
