The ghost of Tomas Holmstrom still lives on in NHL referee's minds, apparently.

ROFLMFAO! That's amazing! Referees are so stupid. From the looks of the high light packages Washington scored on the power play that god awful no goal gave them!

About the Kreider hit. Brodin said somewhere that it was partially his fault because he didn't think that anyone was behind him I believe. You can see that he slows down in a stupid way away from the boards, a meter away from trapping the puck and not really aware of Kreider coming at him. Definitely Kreider wasn't being safe, but Brodin said he was at fault too because you don't just stop like that when the play's coming to you.

True, but still, the onus has to be on the opposing skate to not hit the dude like that. Kreider's was more of a muscle off play, but that's still really risky there. The fact that he did that and not actually attempted to hit him is the only reason he's not sitting for a while. It was weird, but as soon as I turned on the jersey game and saw they were going to the SO, I knew they were gonna get it. Ive been bagging my friends about that too much lately
