I mean, he was good enough against every other defense in the league. You could probably roll the dice against next year and they'd still be favorites to win it all.

I'll probably wait a few days while people discuss the super bowl and some offseason news before I go around making it. if someone else wants to make it though be my guest. I didn't really do anything in the OP in this thread anyway so if someone wants to be more on top of it like the soccer thread or something they can go ahead and do it.

Cam had a bad game, but, really he needed a WR that could get open by running real routes (not Ted Ginn). Also, Karma means that Ted Ginn can never win a title, as he is now 0/3 in championship games NFL & College.

I don't watch a ton of Panthers games so idk but I've read people say that. could just be people talking out their ass though 0% Honestly, this year is the Cam we would have expected (when he got drafted) had once he got used to the NFL. Obviously there was always the chance he would go Johnny Manziel on us or just be totally overwhelmed by defensive sophistication, but I think he still has a lot of room to grow. I don't buy the narrative that Cam is a frontrunner. However, I do think that Cam has almost the perfect setup for an elite QB right now and it would be a mistake to try to give him more weapons. Brady and Manning and Wilson and Big Ben and Eli and Brees have all won their titles when their defense was sick, and for most of those the offense surrounding them was ok, but not great. But GMs get tricked into drafting offense to "surround" their QBs, while they should draft defense, and the occasional Offensive lineman.

EDIT: Also Jimmy Graham probably goes to bed and dreams of catching passes from Drew Brees. The trade may not have worked out great for the Saints, but it sure as hell didn't work for the Seahawks.

Cam probably has a similar offense next year but with benjamin, which is solid. That defense and line is more important to keep then to fish for another wr. His issues when he came in was reads and attitude (it's obvious when losing) iirc and he seems to have come a long way on his reads. He had his chances tonight, couldn't make the throws. Odds on the NFC south going belly up again next year? I never know what to expect from that division...
